day seven   —   grief
characters: saeyoung, saeran and mc.
words: 428
warnings: character death, self harm
Tumblr media
He’s kissing your lips like he’s searching for his promised fix. He thinks if he kisses you with a little bit more force, then maybe it’ll finally kick in. But the weight in his stomach just gets worse. He can feel your tears running down your cheeks and dying on his hands that are holding your face. But Saeyoung keeps kissing you as if his life depends on it, because there has to be a way out of this. He has to get rid of the pain. And he wants you to stop hurting as well.
You open your eyes, your vision blurry from the tears and for a second, you see him again. Healthy and messy red hair, pink-tinted cheeks and perked up nose. But his thumb caresses your cheek and its coarse texture brings you back to reality.
It’s not him.
He’s not here anymore.
Your fists close around Saeyoung’s black blazer and you break the kiss, letting your head fall on his shoulder. Your sobs are louder but it’s just you two in the house, so he just wraps his arms around your frail figure that one day brought him comfort. It only lasts a little while, because you sit up again and pass a hand through your hair, messing up the low bun you had worn for the funeral.
“I’m a horrible person,” you whisper, wiping the tears from your face.
“You’re not,” he assures you and loosens his tie.
“I am,” you insist, and look down at your exposed thighs in the black dress. You punch your right thigh and your skin turns red immediately. A second and a third punch follows, the fourth being interrupted by Saeyoung holding your wrists.
“Let me go.”
“No.”
“Let me go!”
Instead, Saeyoung pulls you to his chest forcefully. He lets go of your wrists only to put his arms around you tightly, immobilizing your every move. You lose count of how much time passes while you stain his white shirt with tears and mascara. He’s silent and it feels so unlike him, it only breaks your heart again. You two were broken beyond repair, and you weren’t sure you would be able to smile again.
When your sniffles become less and less frequent, you feel Saeyoung’s hold loosen and a hand lifting your cheek. You look into his teary honey eyes and you wish you didn’t understand the anguish he was under.
He kisses you, because he needs comfort to dwell with the pain.
And you kiss him again, because he looks just like Saeran.

Jumin X MC fluff
** sorry for not posting for 5 months...but i’m back!! **
“I think that one, over there,” Jumin pointed with his spoon to a woman with her purse over her head, running towards a taxi. Her heels pounded into the pavement, dispersing puddles of rain all around her feet. “I think she is going to a club with her boyfriend and is running really late.”
“But she’s wearing a pantsuit?” MC looked into Jumin’s eyes then smiled.
“Yeah? How many times have i left work late and met you and our friends at the club?”
“Yeah and everyone looks at you weird and mistakes you for a bouncer.”
Jumin laughed, then placed the spoon into the empty bowl. His grip on her shoulder increased as he pulled her closer to his body. “Anyway, she’s running late and is stressed out, but by running she is making everything worse since now her feet are going to be wet, which will make her uncomfortable soon.”
MC picked up her bowl then lazily swished the almost liquified ice cream. “That was super interesting.”
“Thank you,” Jumin proudly placed a kiss on her forehead. “Your turn again…how about that group over there?” Jumin pointed his finger over to a group of 2 couples, laughing and sloppily walking down the street.
“Uhm...they’re drunk. And the girls started arguing about something dumb, but the boys find it funny. And they’re not taking it serious but the girls are really upset with each other.”
“Mhm,” Jumin rubbed his thumb up against her warm shoulder. “I remember that one time we argued.”
MC sighed then slightly pulled away from Jumin. “Great way to ruin the mood.”
“i’m only joking.” He chuckled, then looked down at his fiancée and pulled her back into his arms.
“It’s late.” MC commented as she snuggled back into his chest. He tapped his fingers along her back, admiring every curve that he felt.
“I’ll take the day off tomorrow if you’d like.”
“No, you need to give Jaehee a break once in a while. Poor girl works her ass off.”
“I work twice as much as her.” He gently placed a peck on her lips, innocently smiling afterwards. A soft blush appeared on her cheeks.
“You know what I mean, Jumin.” MC said as she began to collect their ice cream bowls and spoons. She took the blanket from off herself then escaped Jumin’s embrace to get up off the floor and walk towards the kitchen.
She gently placed the bowls in the sink and turned the faucet on hot water so that the bowls could fill up and wouldn’t leave a sticky residue in the morning.
“I love how you always look out for everyone.” Jumin’s deep voice lit up the dark kitchen.
“I was always taught to treat others well.” She smiled as she turned off the water and placed the bowls to the side of the sink.
“Mhm.” Jumin mumbled as he walked to stand behind her. She turned around and pressed her back up against the sink, her hips almost touching Jumin’s. His tall, slender figure was shadowed by the window full of city lights behind him. Although MC couldn’t see the features of his face, she knew he was smirking to himself.
“I love you.” Jumin whispered as he got to her level and placed a kiss on her lips. MC ran her fingers through Jumin’s soft hair, trying to soak up every ounce of attention he passed her way.
“I love you too.” She said breathlessly as she separated her face from his.

“Are you mad at me?”
Your voice had come out smaller than you had intended.
“Is there a reason I should be mad at you?”
He replied without meeting your gaze, opting to focus on the rain outside the car window instead. You didn’t quite know what kind of emotion his tone was carrying, but yet you knew it wasn’t good.
“No…”
You became hyperaware of the bad taste beginning to form in the back of your throat. It’s all too familiar, unfortunately.
“Then I shouldn’t be mad at you. Should I?”
You didn’t answer him. You just weren’t sure what to say.
Heavy silence filled the car once again, the rain against the roof of the vehicle was the only thing that occupied the small space.
You sighed louder than you meant to, arms crossing over your torso, cheek resting against the foggy glass of the window. The cold felt nice against your skin, helped keep you grounded, calm. You took in a few deep breaths as you thought back on the events of earlier tonight.
The unfamiliar hand grazing the small of your back surprised you to say the least, you wanted to flinch away the moment you felt his hands touch you,, but yet you didn’t move. Why? You’re not exactly sure. Politeness, anxiety, maybe a mix of both. Maybe something else underneath it all.
You recognized the voice as a business partner of Jumins, the owner of the company that’s been occupying most of your husband’s time as of late. Late nights, long meetings, hoards and hoards of paperwork.
His reputation was one you knew well, hearing it all secondhand from Jumin. He was quick to drop anyone who disagreed with him, no matter how small. Such a pain for your stubborn husband to work around, but yet as always, he somehow managed.
But one thing your husband made sure you knew about was his stance with women in particular. You weren’t allowed to come to the company dinners anymore. You could only drop things off through Jaehee at the office.
It seems he didn’t even want you to call him after meetings, one thing you two have always done even before you had started dating. Maybe the fear of his colleague overhearing your voice was the reason behind it, you didn’t know, you didn’t ask. You knew he would get upset if you did.
Stay away from him, was all he warned.
And you promised him that you would.

Jumin & MC go stargazing
hehe kinda made this one ab myself srry!!!
“Come on, Jumin!!” MC excitedly grabbed Jumin’s hand, striking his balance. “It’s not a business meeting, just put on sweats and let’s gooo!”
“Alright,” Jumin chuckled as he placed the navy blue polo shirt he was holding in his hand, onto the bed. “We’re going to be in the dark anyways, right?”
“Mhm.” MC separated their hands, then walked to Jumin’s closet. She filtered her fingers through all his business suits, searching desperately for a causal top. Did he not own one?
“Ooh! This should be comfy,” MC grabbed a simple black sweater, then walked back to Jumin. She draped the sweater over Jumin’s bare chest, then looked at him. “And warm.”
Jumin took the sweater out of MC’s hands, their hands gently brushing. “I’ll be out in a second,” he leaned in and kissed her forehead. “Go get your purse and we can leave.”
“Is this what regular people do for dates?” Jumin asked as MC grabbed onto his hand. The couple exited the gas station parking lot, careful not to trip on potholes.
“Yup,” She intertwined their fingers together, then squeezed. “It’s fun. And i wanted you to experience how inexpensive and fun a date could be.”
Jumin turned his head, a quick shiver of anxiety hitting his back. “Are you not satisfied with the dates we usually have?”
“I am!” MC smiled as she made eye contact with him. “I just wanted to give you an insight on how things would’ve been if you didn’t have money.”
“Ah,” Jumin looked up at the sky. “I wonder about that sometimes, too. Would we have even met?”
“Hmm,” MC took a sip of her slushee, a blue tint softly lining the middle of her lips. “I don’t wanna think about that.”
A car drove past them, its headlights slightly blinding MC and stopping her in her tracks.
“Alright?” Jumin asked as he pulled MC close to his side.
It had been a while since MC experienced the normal way of life, for 90% of the population. From within her gated community she was starting to forget what normal life was like.
“Yeah. I grew up in this area, i’m used to it.”
Jumin smiled at the girl, then they continued walking.
As much as Jumin politely tried to hold back his judgment, he couldn’t help but cringe at the tiny, broken houses, and the dirtiness of the streets. He felt pity knowing many people were struggling.
Finally, MC guided Jumin into the sand parking lot of a farm.
“Are we allowed to trespass?” Jumin stopped as MC‘s grip on his hand increased.
“It’s abandoned, there probably won’t be anyone here. And if there is they’re probably just going to be a bunch of kids anyway.”
Jumin nodded as MC began walking, him following right behind her.
“Let’s stop here,” MC said as she let go of Jumin’s hand. They’d been walking for a while “This is where i used to come when i was a kid. It’s a good view.”
She sat down on the soft patch of grass, then placed her slushee on the side of her legs. Jumin followed, sitting close to her with his slushee resting in his lap.
“You really used to come out to this abandoned farm as a kid?” Jumin asked.
“Yup!” MC shuffled closer to Jumin so that their shoulders touched. “I used to do what we are doing right now with my friends. We would save all our money for the week, then splurge on candy and slushees.”
“What did you do when you came here?”
“We would watch the stars. And gossip. It was really simple.”
The couple stared into the forest, watching as the fireflies blinked and crickets chirped, filling the silence in the field. The stars littered the sky, beautifully lining up in a chaotic disaster.
“I don’t know why i found this so fun as a child.” MC looked at Jumin, who was intently staring up into the sky, almost studying it. His hair perfectly fell over his eyebrows, slightly obscuring his sight of vision.
Jumin rested his body on his elbows then MC placed her hand on his chest then curled her legs up to his body.
“It’s fun to me. I love doing things with you.” He softly said.

Jumin X MC: Meeting after a divorce
MC stared at the orange sky, she looked at her ex husband. His hair effortlessly flowed in the wind, each strand finding its assigned place in the air. The bright sunlight peaked through, interrupting the black color and revealing a dark brown one instead.
“Jumin,” MC said breaking the silence. The tension in the air was a barrier between them, and no matter how strong they were, none of them could overcome it.
He nervously picked the stiff grass below his hands, while staring into the field below his body.
“Hm?” Jumin twirled a blade of grass in his between his slender fingers.
“Do you ever wonder?” MC turned her face, her thick curls bouncing in the subtle wind.
His watery eyes met with hers, creating a mutual understanding. There was still a spark there.
“Wonder about what?”
“If things went the way they were supposed to.” MC scratched her cheek, then let her elbows stop supporting her body. She let herself fall into the fluffy grass, then stared directly into the dim sun. “This wasn’t supposed to happen, you know.” She squinted her eyes. “I just get that intuition.”
“I think it was my fault, what happened to us.”
MC opened her eyes wide, then lifted her upper body up, supported by her elbows. The grass chaffed up against her skin, creating an uncomfortable itch.
“Jumin, you can’t deal with me leaving for 3 hours, to go out with YOUR assistant?” MC yelled.
“What were you doing with Assitant Kang?” He calmly pressed again.
MC shoved the front of her hand in Jumin’s face, her warm skin almost touching his nose.
He refocused his vision, and saw the pink that covered MC’s nails. “We went out to get our nails done!” Small sparkles were littered all around the nail.
Jumin backed away from her hand, then looked at her in the eyes. “You need to communicate these things better,” his eyes got wide, and an entity overcame him. His hair fell in front of his eyes, and his voice became deep and threatening. “I need to know where you are at all times. I get nervous when I don’t know.”
MC dryly chuckled to herself. “You’re fucking crazy, Jumin.” She turned her back to him, then began to take her coat off. “I’m not your property.”
She pulled her coat off of her arms, watching as the black fabric danced loosely in the air. She placed it on the coat hanger, right on top of Jumin’s autumn coat.
As she turned around, he was there, towering over her. His hands instantly attached to her arm.
“Ow!” MC shouted out.
“I just need to know.” He whispered.
“Let go and we can talk!”
“We’re talking right now.” He got closer to her face. His glance to her was oppressive, and for the first time in her life she felt unsafe in his presence. Her once sturdy rock, was now an unstable pebble.
“Ouch! Let go!” MC screamed. His grip increased. “Jumi- ah! Okay, ouch! You’re hurting me bad!” MC cried out as she tried to slap his hands away from her arm.
MC shook her head then laid back down on the grass, trying to forget the moment that broke them. It was one of her worst memories. “We both did things wrong.”
“No, everything you did and felt was justified.” Jumin followed what she did, allowing himself to slowly fall onto the grass.
The sky was violet infused with a bit of orange, the clouds resembling cotton candy. Birds free flew over the sky, chirping and yelling for their friends. Every nearby tree was crowded with flocks waiting out until the evening darkness passed.
“Jumin.” MC put softly placed her hand on his bicep. She turned her head to his, where their eyes met.
His eyes, full of tears and regret met with her eyes, full of sorrow and pain. She rubbed circles onto his arm with her thumb, smiling through her clouded vision. “I still love y-you...” Every other word cracked, her voice eventually shadowing out. She could feel her throat restricting her, attempting to keep those thoughts out of his mind.
She knew a confession of her feelings was the last thing that he needed, but she couldn’t stop herself.
“I really do.” She smiled, her teeth glistening in the soft sunlight. “With all my hea-” Her eyebrows furrowed, then her words got cut off by a harsh sob. She covered her mouth, trying to silence herself, but the sniffles from her mouth wouldn’t stop.
She closed her eyes, then felt, for a second, a warm shadow above her arm. She opened her eyes then saw Jumin quickly take his hand off from above her arm.
“I...I don’t want to hurt you again.” Jumin said with a tight throat. “I’m sorry.”
MC smacked her hand onto her mouth and began to sob more, her chest violently contracting with every cry that escaped her mouth.
For a second, every moment shared with a smile, laugh, giggle, and joy cry came back to her, at full force. Every RFA party where he would proudly show her off, to every night they spent in eating commoner junk food while giggling at low quality television shows, and cuddling under the covers.
That was a warmth she was never going to feel again.
“If I could go back, MC, i would in a heartbeat. I think about you all the time.” He wiped just tears that were streaming down his cheeks. “And what i could have done differently.”
MC took her hand off of Jumin’s arm, then propped herself to sit up while crossing her legs. She picked a tiny yellow flower from out of the ground, then placed it on top of his mop of hair.
“You look beautiful.” She could hardly see from her clouded vision, but she knew that permanent charm he had never disappeared.
He smiled weakly as he put his hand above hers, waiting for her approval for his touch. She nodded her head then wiped away his tears. “We could’ve had everything, Jumin. Really.”
“I love you so much.” Jumin choked out, his words only audible due to how close MC was to him.
“It wasn’t the right time in our lives.” She bent down and pecked his cheek with her lips, a feeling that Jumin had been longing for since the divorce. He closed his eyes trying to savor it.
She continued to wipe his tears, as hers strolled down her face, black mascara following the trail.
He looked up at her, finding beauty in all the sadness and chaos. Those eyes full of dreadful tears once were squinted in happiness. Her cheeks, now soiled with salty tears and black makeup were once flush with red tints, and the supporting cast of a beautiful smile that formed on her lips.
His only sense of security, the only person he thought he could deeply trust, was gone in an instant with the sign of a paper.
“One day, we can try again. I promise.”

Jumin X MC: Night spent alone
Jumin sat at the table alone, lazily sipping out of a glass of wine he had poured himself. His teeth clinked up against the glass, the wine slowly falling back into the bottom cup as he placed the glass cup down. With every sip it was a spicy, heavy toll that rolled down his throat.
He could feel that he was slowly losing her. His anxieties were beginning to pile up; he felt the same insecurities that he had felt in the beginning of the relationship. The constant fear of losing her, and not knowing wether she was in love with him or just enabling his behaviors.
He looked at the clock in the kitchen and read the time. 9:39 PM. She was 2 hours and 39 minutes late to eat dinner with him. No calls, no texts, no warning about coming home late. Nothing. He picked up his phone then swiped it open. He went straight to the messenger app, then saw who was active. Only Yoosung and Seven.
He knew they couldn’t help in the situation, they would probably just make him feel worse. He wanted to talk to V, but he hadn’t been active in a week. Probably on a trip.
He quickly dialed MC’s number, then put the phone to his ear. He stared down at the cup in front of him, his head was pounding as a result of the amount of wine he had drank. “Whe...Where are you, MC?” He slurred the second the phone ringing stopped.
“Hi honey I’m gonna be home soon I’m-”
“MC,” He swallowed his spit then rubbed his eyes. “Come home.”
He furrowed his brows then began to feel tears forming in his eyes. Jumin could hear loud music and girls joyfully screaming in the background of the call. “Are you drunk, Jumin?”
“Hurry home,” he slurred. “Please.”
“I’m sorry, I’m coming home now.”
“Call Driver...uh...Kim! Call him.”
He picked up the glass then chugged the rest of the wine that was in it. Every swallow felt like lava free flowing in his throat, and although it was painful and he did not enjoy it, he couldn’t get himself to stop.
“I’m gonna get a taxi, okay?”
On the other side of the phone call he heard heels clicking, then music slowly getting lower and lower.
“Jumin, stop drinking for now.”
He looked at his empty glass. “There’s no more left.”
“I love you, please be safe for another 30 minutes.”
“Uh-huh.” Jumin smiled to himself. His black hair messily hung over his forehead.
“Bye.” MC said.
Jumin took the phone out of his hand, then placed it on the table. He looked around the penthouse. What a privilege to live here with MC. He was so lonely before, just empty spaces and sound filled the house. MC came into his life and completely shifted it. He was so happy with her.
He drunkenly dragged his feet to the couch, then laid down and closed his eyes.
___________
MC opened the glass door to the penthouse, turning around and giving a shy smile to the security guards that greeted her.
“Have a good night!” She cheerfully waved.
“You too, Mrs. Han.”
MC turned back to the penthouse and was greeted by an oppressive dark cloud that leaked from inside the house. It wasn’t like the nights that she had come back to before; there was a different energy that radiated through the darkness. She pushed the door behind her, lightly allowing it to close itself. The small click echoed through the penthouse.
“Jumin?” She called out as she placed her bag on the floor. She dug through her bag and grabbed her phone, a message from the RFA messenger lit up the screen.
ZEN: Thanks for the drinks tonight!
Yoosung★: Yup~ I’ll pay you back one day^^
Jaehee Kang: Yes, thank you MC.
MC smiled then began to kick her heels off.
‘No problem guys,’ MC quickly typed. ‘We always have tons of fun together’
MC gently placed her shoes in the corner of the doorway then shoved her phone back in her bag. It wasn’t like Jumin, to not be there at the doorway hugging her tightly while kissing her forehead and asking her how her night out went.
“Jumin?” MC called out as she walked around the dark penthouse. The only light was coming from the windows, but even then being late at night, there was little light visible. “Honey?” MC called out. She checked in the bedroom, then the kitchen. She found nothing. “Jumin?” MC called out as she walked around the dark penthouse.
She finally reach the living room, there Jumin laid sprawled across the sofa, a soft moonlight appearing on his body. Bottles of wine surrounding him. His hair was a tangeled mess in his face.
“Oh my god,” MC said as she rushed towards him. He was
She put her hands on his chest, then moved them up to his cheeks. “Jumin, what happened?”
“Hey,” MC softly whispered as she poked Jumin’s arm. She croutched next to the couch, where he laid in a fetal position. He was still in his work clothes, the first two buttons of his shirt undone with his black slacks still on. He reeked of wine, which made MC feel guilty. He was a heavyweight drinker, so she felt especially guilty when she realized he gotten this wasted as a result of her.
“Jumin” MC poked his arm again. He let out a soft snore, then his eyes opened wide. His eyes were droopy and set staring into hers, while his body barely hoisted itself up without the support of the arm of the couch. A sigh of relief left his mouth when he realized that she had come back.
“Come on,” MC grabbed his hands. They were cold and clammy. “Let’s go to bed.”
Jumin looked up at her, then used her hands as support as he sat up on the couch.
“Come on,” MC grunted. “You gotta help me. You’re heavy.”
“Aha...sorry.” He smugly giggled.
She walked with him into their bedroom, tumbling over each other’s feet occasionally. She moved his arms off from her side, then gently sat him down on the bed. He was still in his suit from the day before, tie and all.
“Jumin, don’t you want to get into comfy clothes?”
He looked into her eyes, then blanky nodded.
“I get so scared,” He said softly as he moved his face closer to MC’s chest.
“Of what?” She began to undo his tie, trying to work with his limp upper body which was falling into hers.
“I get scared of you going out one night and never speaking to me again.” He slurred.
MC rubbed his cheek with her thumb, caressing every tiny bump that stood on his skin.
“You know I’d never do that.”
“A guy could try something.”
His speech was so slurred, almost unable to be understood. MC knew there wouldn’t be any use in trying to argue with a drunk man, so she took her hand from off his face then embraced him.
“I love you.” She whispered.
“Me too.”
MC looked down, his face was buried into her chest, creating a warmth in between them.
“Come on, let’s go to sleep.” MC softly said as she moved him to lay down on the bed.

Jumin X MC one shot
super short, i’ve been rlly stuck on what to write so here this is, just a writing of a scene i imagined ...<3
The scent of fresh blooming flowers penetrated through the rainy morning air. The sun was slowly trying to creep out from the dank clouds, the clouds easily overpowering the tiny sun. Every so often the clouds would open up, and land it’s waste on the path of pebbles MC was standing on. The dry pebbles drowned in a sparkly coat of rain water, with dirt coming up through the cracks.
Birds lazily chirped in the sky, quickly flying to nearby trees to their nests to avoid the droplets of rain. MC was fully absorbed with the nature scenery around her. Everything fell into place so perfectly, without anything out of place, or any flaws messing up the scenery. It was just perfect.
“Good morning,” MC felt startled as she turned around and saw Jumin standing in front of her. Her silk black robe began flowing with the wind, revealing her thighs. Jumin’s tall stature gloomed over her as he placed his hand on her shoulder. “What are you doing out here?”
“It’s just really beautiful out here,” MC said softly as she looked down at the ground. Rain droplets rolled from her hair, and onto the ground. “I just wanted to take a look.” Jumin‘s black oxfords had tiny droplets of water on them, more than the amount of pebbles had before.
“Love, it’s raining,” He took his hand off her shoulder then gently wrapped his hand around hers. “Let’s go. I don’t want you to get sick.”
“Jumin,” MC looked up at him. His eyes were bright, trying to follow her every thought.
The sentimental feeling that always came when MC stared at Jumin wasn’t foreign to her. It was an underlying urge that stayed in the back of her conscience; to constantly show Jumin the love he needed and deserved.
A rain droplet harshly fell onto her eyelash. “I really love you.” she blinked, which let the droplet fall onto her cheek, appearing as a tear.
Jumin quickly leaned in then gently placed his lips on hers. He set his hands on her waist, her hands holding his face.
The rain had began to pound on the ground. Harsh bullets fell free from the sky, seeping through MC’s silk robe. The sky shrunk, becoming a deeper shade of grey than before. There was an eerie vacantcy from the birds finally finding their place home.
“You’re getting all wet,” Jumin softly pulled from MC’s lips and tugged her hand, to motion her to walk with him. “Let’s go inside.”

Jumin X MC: going to watch Zen’s play
hehehe had this idea for a while, hope u all enjoy!!!
“MC, slow down!” Jumin quickly shuffled behind her, almost falling victim to the crowds that were accumulating on the sideways. “What is the rush?”
MC grasped his hand tighter, as if she were the mother to a toddler. His heavy feet dragged behind her, protesting every turn she took. He sighed loudly, making faces of annoyance at every sign or mention of the mysterious event. MC fled through the crowds with Jumin attached to her. “Sorry!” MC yelled back with a sweet smile as she bumped into anyone. No one could stay mad at her sweet smile, so even the street punks just brushed off the tiny alterations.
Jumin took note of his surroundings, they were in the heart of the city. The only things there were the theatre, restaurants, clubs, and shops. They’d already had dinner, it was too late to shop, so she was taking him to the club or the theatre.
“We are here!” MC smiled as she stopped in her tracks and looked behind her. There Jumin stood, his eyes relaxed with a look of absolute disgust.
“Why did you take me here?”
MC looked up and pointed to the lighting up sign: ACTOR ZEN GOES BACK TO HIS ROOTS IN...TEI’S TEA LEAF!! PREMIERING FOR ONLY 3 DAYS!! The sign read in glistening golden letters.
“MC...i’m not sitting through an hour of him galloping on stage as his fan girls drool over him.”
“Come on!” MC pleaded. “We have to support our friends.”
“Your friend.” Jumin quickly corrected.
“No, he’s apart of the RFA and we all need to get along.” MC dropped his hand then moved closer to him. “He’d really appreciate if everyone showed up. Seven is already busy with work and can’t come, so i’m sure he would appreciate it if you did.”
“Ugh,” Jumin scoffed. “I’m only going to sit through this for you.”
MC smiled, then grabbed his hand again. “He gave all the RFA members access to the balconies, so we can all watch from there together.”
MC began walking to the entrance with Jumin dragging his feet behind her. “So excited.” He sarcastically nodded.
“Oh! And he told everyone to meet in his dressing room before the show.”
Jumin looked up at the night sky before they entered the building.
This is going to be a long night.
_______
“Hey!” Zen smiled wide as MC opened his dressing room door. “I’m so glad you came!” He got to MC’s level and gave her a friendly hug.
“Hi Zen.” MC quickly hugged him.
“Back up.” Jumin appeared into the doorframe.
“Ugh why did you have to bring this JERK?” Zen rolled his eyes obnoxiously as he backed away from MC.
“Don’t hug MC like that.” Jumin immediately shot back.
“We aren’t doing this tonight.” MC said as she put herself in between the two men. She knew things would escalate if she didn’t intervene, and although it would be so entertaining to watch them hash it out, now wasn’t the time.
“Jumin, it was just a friendly hug. And Zen, stop calling him names.”
Jumin smirked at Zen, then grabbed MC’s waist and pulled her in close to him.
“Anyways!” Zen said. He turned quickly, his long ponytail swaying in the air. “Seven couldn’t make it. And Jaehee said she might be a little bit late.” He sat on his chair, then made direct eye contact with Jumin. “Thanks to her lovely boss who exploits her labor-”
“Oh my god you guys need to stop.” MC interrupted.
“I haven’t said or done anything yet to incite an argument.” Jumin said innocently. He looked around the room and saw a red couch, up against the wall. Jumin quietly took MC’s hand then walked to the couch and they sat shoulder to shoulder.
“Zen, don’t you have to do makeup or something?” MC asked, quickly changing the subject. Maybe it was a mistake taking Jumin to the musical, but she thought it would be a sweet gesture to support Zen.
“No, i just have to change my clothes before the play starts.” Zen answered.
MC always loved when the whole RFA spent time together, although it was really hard to get those gatherings.
Jumin already had a busy schedule, Jaehee too. Seven was constantly backed up with work, and Zen got mobbed in the daylight. When the RFA got together it was usually in private, or at night time. There was a flip side though, Yoosung was usually always free and loved hanging out with MC. Jumin didn’t mind when they hung out too much; he just requested that MC texted him every half hour.
“Hellooo!” Yoosung proudly announced as he answered the room. The awkward veil got lifted, as Zen smiled back. “I had to ask for directions back here and the security thought I was Zen’s fan...Oh, hey MC and Jumin!”
“Hi Yoosung.” MC said cheerfully. Jumin raised his hand up then waved.
Rather quickly Zen and Yoosung began talking amongst themselves.
Jumin focused his attention back to MC, then placed his hand on her thigh. She looked at him, her eyes big with a rose blush appearing on her cheeks.
“Jumin…” She whispered. She rubbed her nose then smiled. “About what Zen said…I feel really bad for Jaehee,” She placed her hand on top of his. “She works so hard for you, you don’t exploit her, but she deserves a break once in a while. You should go easy on her.”
“Please MC, not right now. Let’s talk about this later.”
“I’m sorry.” She was slightly embarrassed.
“Hey!” Yoosung said as he looked at Jumin. “I’m surprised you came...”
“MC just dragged me around town, she didn’t tell me where we were going.”
“Ohh, now i get it. That’s smart, MC. Good one.” Zen chimed in.
“Super smart!” Yoosung said.
Yoosung and Zen resumed their conversation, then Jumin looked into MC’s eyes. “I’m sorry if i hurt your feelings. I didn’t mean it that way. I just want to keep my work separate from my personal life.”
“I get it, it’s ok.” MC said. Jumin smiled then squeezed her thigh.
“Heyyy! So gross and handsy!!” Zen laughed loudly.
Jumin quickly took his hand from her thigh, then rolled his eyes. “You both are so childish.”
“Ignore them.” MC softly said. Jumin’s face was lit up with shades of red and pink, he tried to cover his face but it didn’t work, which Zen blissfully pointed out.
Zen and Yoosung continued with their laughter, until a tiny feminine voice said ‘Hello’ at the door.
MC looked up and saw Jaehee standing there, nervously twiddling her thumbs. She was wearing a simple, yet elegant dress. It was peach colored with light sparkles and layered with lace.
“Jaehee you look so beautiful.” MC said. Zen nodded in agreement.
“You do too, thank you so much.” Jaehee said as she slightly lowered her upper body to bow.
“Hi Jaehee.” Zen and Yoosung said in union.
Jumin simply looked up at Jaehee and nodded his head.
“I’m really grateful you all came,” Zen started. “I work really hard for my plays and it means a lot that you guys want to see that.”
“I know you work hard, that’s why i wanted everyone to see how talented you are.” MC said.
Jumin felt a hit of jealousy to him with that comment. He knew MC didn’t mean to make him jealous, but he still felt it. Jumin looked back to MC’s face and stared. It was something he did to silently get her attention, or when he needed to mask his own insecurities. MC looked at Jumin and saw his eyes, then she knew how he was feeling. She grabbed his hand then intertwined her fingers with him. Dammit, she thought to herself. She always forgot that supportive comments towards Zen usually made Jumin feel a certain type of way.
“I’m happy i get to experience your plays live, they usually sell out very quickly!” Jaehee smiled.
“Yeah you’re getting really really popular.” Yoosung agreed.
MC felt really bad for Jaehee. As many times as she tried to convince Jumin to not overbear her with work, he only partially listened when MC started to get frustrated, which always ended up with the same old “work life is not part of my personal life, blah, blah, blah” defense. MC had even offered to take up some of Jaehee’s work, but Jumin always respectfully declined.
So whenever MC noticed Jaehee not taking proper care of herself, or drowning in work, she would always swoop in and take Jaehee under her wing. MC couldn’t count the times that she had sent food to Jaehee, or spent hours with her organizing documents and helping her write up reports behind Jumin’s back. Jaehee and MC had a tight bond, wether Jumin denied it or not.
“Well, the show starts in 20 minutes so now that everyone is here maybe you should go to the balcony,” Zen started. “You guys just walk down this hallway, there should be stairs. Then just go to the right there should be a security guard, he’ll tell you where to go from there.”
____________
The show was going great. Zen’s performance was very respectful, and his talent poured out of every line and song he performed. MC had never viewed any of his work until then, but she had quickly realized why he was famous.
Jaehee was enjoying herself more than ever before, and although Yoosung was intently engaged with the play, it was obvious he was a bit confused as to what was going on, often times whispering to Jaehee for confirmation to this questions.
But MC couldn’t seem to focus or enjoy the play, there was something slowly eating away at her conscience. She could feel that Jumin wasn’t enjoying himself. Well, he probably wouldn’t enjoy himself in the first place; musical theatre and Zen weren’t his favorite things. But she could sense he wasnt feeling the best way, about a different topic.
“Jumin,” MC whispered into Jumin’s ear. He jumped a bit, surprised of how close she was. The loud musical number wasn’t helping her case, as it was really hard to hear anything besides Zen’s singing. “We need to talk?”
He nodded his head, then they got up and walked out of the balcony, which drew the attention of Jaehee and Yoosung.
“Be quick!” Yoosung smiled. Jaehee looked at the couple then sighed, they were ruining the beautiful moment, in her mind.
Jumin followed MC out to the vacant hallway, where she balanced herself up against the grey wall. This hallway that connected to the balcony was for VIP guests only, so it acted like a storage space away from the general public. Carts full of wires, books, and costumes flooded the sides of the hallway.
There was always something so eerie and creepy about empty hallways, especially during a musical. You were still able to head the distant echos from the theatre room, but the hallways amplified the tiny sound to make it sound like something out of a horror movie.
“When i’m being friendly to Zen, it’s nothing more than that. I’m just trying to be supportive, and i know it bothers you sometimes. I just want you to know I only have eyes for you.” MC said. Jumin got in front of her, then blinked a few times.
“I’m sorry, you just know how him and I don’t get along, sometimes i feel like he takes advantage of your kindness to get back at me.”
MC smiled. “I...I don’t think Zen is that malicious towards you. He’s just a friendly and flirtatious person.” She put her hands on his chest then began to smooth out his jacket. “But. I know when to draw the line with him.” She picked a piece of Elizabeth’s fur off of his jacket and looked up at him. “And i always do.”
“I would hope so. I’m serious when it comes to things with you.”
“Me too, Jumin. I really love you. But with that being said, if there’s something that you want me to stop doing...then I will.” She took her hands away from his chest, letting her arms rest by her side. “I care more about your happiness, and us at the end of the day.”
Jumin nodded his head then pulled her in for a tight hug. “Just stay the way you are with me.” MC felt a light kiss on the top of her head.
The rest of the night played out well, Jumin and Zen were still bitter towards each other, but Jumin felt more secure with his relationship with MC. It was getting easier for him to realize that her support for Zen only came out of the place that made him fall in love with her in the first place: her kindness and regard for others.

Yoosung X MC: walk to college
“MC?!” Yoosung yelled as he pounded on MC’s door for the fourth time. He’d been standing on her porch waiting for her, for god knows how long. It felt like an hour to him. He impatiently pulled his phone out of his pocket, to call MC. As soon as he unlocked it, he saw a text.
So sorry woke up the second U got here, be out in 5 mins lol xoxo
He softly smiled to himself, then looked at the time. He still had 40 minutes to get to class, so he wasn’t stressing out too much.
He put his phone back in his pocket then sat down on the porch. He had never really observed the surroundings of MC’s house. The road was a little uneven, with gravel, rocks, and minor potholes littering the middle of it, but it was cute. Over the road, a distant patch of overgrown grass with a few flowers sprinkled in quietly sat in a pile of sand.
She didn’t life in a poor neighborhood, per se, but it wasn’t the best. Tiny houses were stacked together, with children running and screaming early on in the day.
Her house sat in front of a tiny mountain, which displayed a beautiful scenery for the morning time. The sun appeared right before the mountain, clouds surrounding it to make it look like a farm painting. It reminded him of his childhood; running around the backyard with his sister.
“Good morning baby.” MC said as she bent down and pecked Yoosung on the head.
“Hey.” He blushed.
She got up then grabbed the doorknob from behind her, gently shutting it.
“I got here early. I wanted to walk around with you and talk,” Yoosung smiled as he stood up on his feet. “Oh my god, MC!” Yoosung said as he looked at her. “Why are you carrying so many things?” He grabbed her portable coffee cup, that was about to fall out of her hand.
Yoosung loved her to pieces, but she was a mess.
Her hair was messily tied into a knot on the top of her head, with tiny baby hairs peeking through her forehead. She had a tote bag balanced on her shoulder, stuffed full with papers and other pieces of junk that he couldn’t quite make out. She was holding a portable coffee cup in the middle of her palm on one hand, and her keys and sunglasses were fighting for space in between her fingers in the other hand.
“Sorry for making you wait. I didn’t have much time to get ready either,” MC nervously rambled. “I texted you, did you see it?”
“Yeah i did, i’m not mad at you!” Yoosung smiled.
She placed her sunglasses on her head, then looked up at Yoosung. His stray pieces of blonde hair slowly followed whatever direction the breeze took it. The sun illuminated through the blonde, almost making it invisible.
“It’s only 6:05, we could go see if cafes are open.” Yoosung suggested.
MC jumped out of her trance, almost, then nodded her head. “Yeah, wait, no.” She said. She looked at Yoosung, who was dressed in jeans with a grey top. He looked presentable. Then MC looked down at her baggy sweats, then remembered that she looked like she had been up studying all night.
“I can’t go to a cafe looking like this.”
“It doesn’t matter, you look cute!” Yoosung said as he extended his hand out. “We are students anyway, I don’t think they care.”
MC scrunched her nose. “I’m trusting you on this one, Yoosung.”
“I wouldn’t lie to you. You’re so cute,” he grabbed her hand. “Come on.”
_____________
The streets were damp from last night’s rain showers. Worms all throughout the street struggled to squirm to their holes in the dirt. They ran from the sun that was slowly coming up, which would dry them up and eventually kill them.
The phone lines that plagued the sky occasionally dripped left over rain onto their heads. They hadn’t officially decided what cafe they were going to, they just decided to walk in the direction of the university until they saw one thst was open. It was still sunrise, after all. They’d be lucky to even find one.
“Last night i was playing LOLOL,” Yoosung said breaking the silence. “...and i was thinking about if after this semester we could start talking about moving in together?”
MC looked up at Yoosung’s face, expecting a confident smile, but instead was greeted by an insecure smirk shielded by a rose colored blush on his cheeks.
“Awww are you nervous asking me that!?” MC giggled.
Yoosung’s cheeks heated up to a deeper red color, slightly out of embarrassment and slightly out of guilt.
Did i go to fast? Does she think this relationship isn’t serious?
“Sorry. That was too quick.”
“Nooo,” MC squeezed his hand tightly. “I want to talk about that too. It would be easier for us.”
The butterflies in his stomach free flowed whenever she referred to them as a thing. Maybe since it was his first relationship, or maybe because she had such a special place in his life. But either way, everything she said and did had a big affect on him.
“Oh good,” He looked down at MC, who was staring at the morning sky. Her hair bounced every time she took a step, and her small stature made Yoosung feel big and protective- for the first time he had ever felt that way over another human. He snuck a small kiss on her head, then whispered “I love you.”
MC met her eyes with his, then smiled wide. “Wait, Yoosung that’ll be so cute we can wake up together and walk to school everyday.”
Vendors walking with materials taped to their backs began appearing at every corner, which made Yoosung grasp MC’s hand tighter each time. He felt a really strong sense of protection over her. They both knew that under his sweet persona, was a tough and scary man. MC had only seen that once before, and never wished to see it again.
“Yeah that’d be really nice!”
___________
They’d both decided on a small student run cafe 5 minutes from the university. It was snuck away in a line of corporate shops, it only caught the couple’s eye because of the single lightbulb illuminating the whole cafe. Maybe it was a kidnapping trap, or maybe it was a cafe, but both of them were desperate for breakfast, so they didn’t object to going in.
It was a really tiny cafe. Only four booths were avalible, 2 of them being piled in with half asleep students who lounged over their coffees in a languid manner. Yoosung and MC were the complete opposite. The waitress caught them blowing straw wrappers at eachother, while giggling up a storm.
They ordered a small breakfast, and talked about school gossip for a good half an hour.
“Oh my god!” MC laughed loudly. “We have 4 minutes to get to class!!”
MC and Yoosung erupted into laughter, then began to gather up all their things.
“The only time i’m early to pick you up we somehow still manage to be late.” He said as he dug in his wallet for ₩24011. He placed the money on the table, then grabbed MC’s hand and they quickly opened the door.
“Thank you!” MC joyfully said as she made eye contact with the waitress. The waitress put on a phony smile, then MC turned around while Yoosung dragged both of them out of the cafe.
“I’d love to run with you but all the papers in my bag will fall out.” MC said.
“Let’s speed walk very quickly.” Yoosung joked.
He wasn’t mad for losing track of time, but he was a bit disappointed. Usually MC and him went straight to school, or were a little bit late, but they always made it on time. He hated the embarrassing moment that always ensued when you were the last one to class, everyone staring you down as you pitifully found a seat in the back.
“What class are you going to?” Yoosung asked MC.
“Uh...management studies!”
Yoosung sighed, as he knew that was halfway across from where he was going, but it would be very rude to let MC walk to class alone, so he sucked it up and guided her.
They rushed past the crowds of people that constantly filled the hallways during class time. They always took up all the space in the hallways, and didn’t budge even when asked nicely. So, you had to push people aside and move them with your hands. They didn’t mind that either, they were boneheads.
Yoosung and MC finally got to her class, which had already started. MC could hear her professor begin to lecture a crowd of uninterested young adults. Yoosung couldn’t imagine how late he was going to be. Her side of the school compared to his side was at least a 5 minute walk, so he was going to be at least 10 minutes late.
Yoosung let go of her hand, then they faced eachother. “I’ll pick you up in an hour, ok?” He said.
She got closer to him then stood on her tippy toes and gave him a hug. “This is so dramatic but I miss you all the time when we aren’t together.”
He put his arms around her shoulder, then buried his head in the crook of her neck. “Me too...I’ve always felt that way.”
MC separated herself from him, then smiled. “I’ll see you in an hour, good luck in class today.”
“You too!!” Yoosung said.
He stood and watched as she opened the door, then disappeared into the classroom. He peeked into the window of the door and noticed all the stares MC was getting. Realistically it was because she was late, but his jealously began to come out and he stared down every boy who was looking at her.
He was already annoyed and it was only 7 in the morning.

Note
since you're really good at writing angst, how about something on jumin knowing about the game resets and his feelings on it?
oooo love this theory
had a little trouble writing this one, i’m not sure why but i hope it’s what u were looking for!!💝
_______________
Jumin had never felt this pain before. It wasn’t like the countless times before when he had to silently watch as MC fell in love with his closest friends. It wasn’t like when he had to suffer at every RFA party as he watched her embrace a man that wasn’t him. It wasn’t that type of pain. He dwelt on all the moments he had to congratulate his friends for snatching MC first, secretly wanting to scream in their face for being so selfish and taking someone that could be so precious to him.
She had finally come to him, and opened her heart for him; he felt special. She taught him things and feelings that he didn’t even know were possible. Everything had felt so robotic until she came into his life, for those 11 euphoric days. Even though he was under the most stress he’d felt in his life, having her by his side gave him hope and the ability to find good in that sitatuion, her.
He found himself rereading old chats in the middle of the night, a smile lurking on his face. He knew it was going to hurt when she reset. He remembered her sweet words of encouragement, and the fact that she cared about him more than anyone had before.
But he reminded himself: it’ll be over like before. The next 11 days will hurt more than before. It’ll be over again, and he couldn’t do anything but sit back and watch.

Jumin X MC: rainy night together
sorry this is a short one, just rlly bored rn. ^_^ hope u all enjoy this, thank u if u read + interact! <<<3!!!!
“It’s raining really hard.” MC said as she looked out the window. The rain drops flew out of the sky as if they were bullets, slamming onto the pavement of her backyard like it was a war. The rain stuck to the grass like glue, but each time a new droplet a blade got weighed down and collapsed.
The sound of little kids’ wet feet hitting the street as they playfully screamed while finding their way home was comforting, it reminded MC of her childhood. It rained often where she grew up, sometimes resulting in the street being flooded. But when you’re blinded with the ignorance of being young, everything is happy and cheery. You don’t know anything dark in the world.
“I don’t know if i want you to go home in weather like this.” MC turned around and rested her waist up against the sink. She drew her attention to Jumin, who was laying on his stomach on top of the couch, intently staring into the TV. His chin sat on the arm rest, his damp black hair gently draped across his forehead. It was funny, she thought, to see a tall business man such as himself sitting on the couch watching TV like a child.
“You hear what i said?” MC smiled as she put her hands behind her, to rest on the sides of the sink.
“I’m sorry, what did you say, love?” Jumin quickly turned his attention from the TV to her.
“Stay here tonight? It’s really stormy outside”
“If that’s alright with you,” Jumin said. He looked back at the TV, which was broadcasting the news.
“Aww glad you’re staying.” MC said excitedly. She quick ran over to the couch where he was sitting, then sat next to his feet. He took up a lot of space on the couch, he was 6 feet tall after all.
“I usually don’t watch the news,” Quiet mumbles spewed out of the newscaster’s plastic smile. “Assistant Kang tells me big current events, and the app on my phone provides me with the weather. I didn’t know it was so organized and as professional as it is.”
”You’ve really never sat down and watched the news?” MC asked.
“No.” A commercial advertising Mcdonald’s hit. “There was never a need to.”
“Super surprising, Mr. Han,” She said jokingly. “That’s called a commercial.”
“Yoosung talks about those burgers all the time.”
Jumin readjusted himself on the couch, so that they both were sitting next to each other. He placed his arm around her shoulders, then pulled her in tight. He loved holding her close to him, maybe this branched from his possessiveness but feeling her warm body touching his always put him at ease.
Jumin mimicked what MC was doing, which was staring into the TV. Why do people watch advertisements? Such a waste of time. He thought to himself. Rather quickly he discovered the addictiveness of quick paced, fun little clips and jingles. He began eating up every corporate advertisement that came his way. Even when he wasn’t working he was analyzing the marketing strategies used by competitors to incite possible customers and consumers.
“Do you watch things on TV?” he asked as the commercials ended, and the news came back on. MC moved her head in his direction, which was closer than she expected. “Not really. Just background noise.”
“Ah,” Jumin sighed. “That’s what i thought. It’s a mindless indulgence distraction, i didn’t think people actually enjoyed it.”
“Well some shows are interesting but I rarely just sit here and watch TV for hours...but i spend most of my time with you now, so there’s no time or really a need to watch those shows, you know?”
Jumin picked his other arm up and rubbed his thumb across her cheek. He noticed every little detail, every pore, and every bump. He even noticed the shade her cheeks changed to when he touched her. It was a soft pink, not too obvious and only really noticeable when you were close enough. He’d never admired something as much as he had admired MC. He loved the way she always thought about him, he loved the way that she was patient and caring about everyone around her, even if she didn’t know them.
BOOM!
MC jumped away from Jumin, a slight gasp left her mouth. “Oh my god, sorry!” Her face lit up with smiles, and this time turned a deeper shade of red, out of embarrassment.
Of course a thunderclap had to ruin the moment.
“Are you okay?” Jumin smiled. MC always loved when he smiled. He looked intimidating before he did. It was like all the inner turmoil and anger that boiled inside of him suddenly stopped when he smiled.
“Yeah fine.” MC returned the smile then laid down on her side. Jumin got behind her back, then held her tightly. He wrapped her arms around her waist, while gently kissing her neck.
“I love you,” Jumin said as he grabbed her hand and held it tenderly. “More than anything ever before…you mean the world to me.”
The rain gently buzzed on the rooftop, providing a cozy atmosphere. With combination of the soft murmurs on the TV, MC closed her heavy eyes.
“I love you more,” MC said.
It hadn’t been a long day, just one the weighed a little heavy. She never enjoyed sleeping at her apartment after meeting Jumin. She had become accustomed to the constant guild of security guards, and the other systems put in place at Jumin’s penthouse that guaranteed protection. But, she knew that Jumin was there and he could protect her against anything.
“Sometimes i think about before you joined the RFA,” Jumin whispered into her ear. “I was so disconnected from everyone. You changed my life.”
A soft kiss was planted on the corner of her lips, then she held Jumin’s hand tighter.
I never want this to end.
