I teach art and art history and I am an artist. I want to create a place where all my friends and students can see video clips shown in class, art exhibits that I have explored and recommend - almost anything related to Fine Art.

Love this....
This work is a clever satire of decadent French society: A courtesan drives a carriage pulled by four male captives who represent different ages and states of society. The prickly plants along the road suggest the painfulness of their journey. And the elderly figure seated at the rear of the carriage with a bottle of wine in her basket foreshadows the courtesan’s future.
“The Thorny Path,” 1873, Thomas Couture
