Ugh, haven't had time to even OPEN my game. My roommates are moving out and taking most of the STUFF with them, so we've had to go hunting for  cheap furniture and dishes and cookware and whatnot.

My boyfriend is starting to make poses tonight! He saw me looking at a tutorial and recognized the blender program from when he used to make items for the game "There". He doesn't play sims, but he loves doing stuff with me and cares about my game and stuff. This is his very first foray into the world of posing, first in-game test. There's a few bits of wonkyness, but he knew what went wrong after looking at each clipping issue or facial feature funk and knows what to improve upon. I'm so excited and proud of him oh my gosh.

If you've revamped your CC by converting your sims3packs and merging them into one .package before, can you help by confirming or denying my hunch?

I just booted up my game after putting the fresh new file into it. To see if the packages worked in PLACE OF the old installed sims3packs, I turned off custom content in the launcher. When I played a character I had covered in sims3pack stuff to see what happened to her, she was wearing all of the items I had her in but with REALLY FUNKY patterns. Her hair's mesh went nuts and had weird, square ends and had changed to an average brown color. once I clicked each item to see if I could fix it, they magically reverted to what they should be.

Is this just the game adjusting to the change, and not damage to the custom content? I ran them through the dashboard and it said the files were fine and everything looked good after I reselected her stuff. Thoughts?

I booted up my game to see if my sims3packs converted to .packages worked and I was almost completely loaded and I realized

I never put them in the mods folder.
