Obvious of course, but I was just struck by the realisation that in the parallel universe, it's Arlene's Dad who's a "tramp" and slept with most of the women on Io and got pregnant with her by sleeping with a female version of gardener Dungo.

Starting watching Red Dwarf again, and a younger Chris Barrie could definitely have got it... Hmm.

I know I'm not the only one so - Rimmer is relatable, right? Really relatable.

I work unsociable hours in my grey/navy uniform, having to be reliable one with a pen and back up pen and clipboard....while my super awesome very competent (but less qualified, less burnt out) coworker skips along behind me singing songs from Mary Poppins and screaming my name every time I disappear from view so I end up running back to her thinking something awful has happened...and it hasn't.

I fool for it every single time.

Sometimes I hide in the supply cupboard. A standard screening test at school flagged me as being likely neurodivergent with auditory processing disorder, but I wasn't organised enough to go for an official assessment. There's only so much screaming I can take.

Then I go home to try and study for a few hours but end up failing anyway....I get up in the early hours, go back to work for more screaming, loud music, and comments about me being single and why hadn't I placed spare loo rolls in the toilets?

Where's the radiation leak?

RD has to be one of the more relatable work place comedies. It captures the low level background consistent misery of it all.

(btw the coworker is someone I like working with, her good qualities greatly outweigh everything else. I'm loopy and so is she in her own way. She is someone I know.)
