In this quarter i’ve learned so many things in our subject Media and Information Literacy. Although it is easy for now to search and we have many time because we are in our house I have so many struggles doing our project and schoolworks. Theres a energy issues, internet interruption and self-breakdowns. But I always thank God because I have succeeded those problems and because of that struggles I learned so many things that will help me in present and in my future. This subject to thought me that Media and Information Literacy is much importante to be study. We have many knowledge to gain and every small details to remember. I’m thankful because I get one step ahead in this schoolyear. I hope me and my classmate do our best. This is for my last post in 1st quarter.

Hello this is my sixth pot here in tumblr, in lesson Media Language i’ve learned the definition and its different types of genre, codes and conventions in media. The types of codes are the technical code this contains the camerawork, editing, audio and lighting. The second type of code is symbolic code this includes language, dress or action of character or iconic symbols to be easily understood. The third type of code is written code this is use of language style and textual layout like headlines, speech bubbles and many more. In convention of genre are the elements that commonly occur in such films it also includes things like charaters, situation, settings, props, themes and events.

This lesson tells me that Media Language is important to learn because it is always in our daily life. When we are watching, writing, taking picture/video etc. Now i learned the basic media languages, i will apply it in my lifestyle. This is for my post now,, thankyou for new knowledge. See yah : D

Hello, this is for my fifth post here in tumblr. The lesson i will be sharing is about the Media and Information Sources. In the beginning of the lesson i’ve learned the indegenous media and information , this contains the indegenous knowledge, communication and media and information. It’s forms are folk and traditional media, gatherings and social organization, direct observation, records and oral instructions. Next, i’ve learned the types of library and importance and uses. The different types of library are academic, public, school and special libraries. Also i learned the things to consider in evaluating information, those are reliability, accuracy, value, authority of the source and timeliness.

Hello, I’ve learned from the previous topic (3-4) are the importance and purposes of the “WH” questions. The bacis defenitions of Information Literacy. Specially the elements of information, common knowledge, interpretation, quotation and paraphrase. Then in lesson four i’ve learned the three traditional types of media wherein the print media, broascast media and film or cinema. This lesson gave me enough knowledge to give importance in Information Literacy and use them in their specific purpose.

I choose to draw a poster about bullying. Bullying is a serious problem here in our country but many of us saw this issue not that serious because it always happen, many of us are used to it. But not all of us are strong to take shamming not that serious, some person who been bullied are decreasing their self-esteem, self-believe, self-support and etc. That’s why some of the victim of this issue commit suicide because they can’t take the pain and pressure they feel. So we always have to think before we speak for us to fight this issue. We have to know that “Words cut deeper than a knife”, we don’t know want the person thinks when we say something wrong. So be smart and be kind to wach other.

This is my drawing about “The Evolution of Media”. Newspapers, radio, television and smart phones are some of mediums that is good to use when we want to be updated on the news and entertained. Specially, those medium are helping us to make our communication easier.

Hello, I have learned in lesson 1 and 2 are the basic defenitions about Media and Information Literacy. It’s five laws and the benefits of it in our life. I’ve learned that this subject is very important for us to learn because it is part of our daily life, specially when we communicate. Shannon’s and Weaver’s communication model is the one that we often use. This is the very basic communication process where in it starts with the sender of course who send the message then send the message through the use of channel and the reciever will receives the message.

Hello, I am Juan Cornelio Dacsil, you can call me Juan. I love to travel in beaches, mountains and cities. My hobbies are planting, cooking, cycling and watching movie series. In sports I can play basketball, weight lifting and track and field but I’m a jack of all traits, “master of none”.
