The Walker virus (1998) causes an old man, which happens to be a sprite ripped out of the game Bad Street Brawler, to walk across the screen at regular intervals, interrupting any work being done on the PC.

It was totally the intention. They just can’t do it in universe for reasons.
Started watching Skeleton Crew. My dad has started calling SM-33 'Smee,' which I doubt was the intention but is what I will be exclusively calling him from now on

we usually think of mood as a scale from 1-5, but there's actually a negative scale too, where the frown turns back into a smile, but just a little insane !

I genuinely love how much Jod sucks as a person and tbh, I hope they don't do a "redemption" moment for him.
He could've killed Fern but he didn't, he prompted her multiple times to yield and despite getting more agitated each time, he didn't actually physically harm her. He could've stomped on the little rat thing from SM-33's eye socket (he had just executed Brutus with a point blank shot to the head in front of the kids and cut off 33's head with the lightsaber), but he didn't squash that little creature, just pushed him aside with his boot. So he's not like, cartoonishly, puppy-kicking evil. But he is a bad person.
And I LOVE THAT about him.
We’ve become so conditioned by Star Wars in particular (Din Djarin, Hunter from TBB) and also media generally (Joel in The Last of Us) to expect the hardened, grumpy, sometimes genuinely shitty guy to ultimately have a soft spot for the kid(s) at heart, to come around and eventually side with them. And I think that’s what has made Jod so compelling for me, because despite everyone in this show is warning the kids (and therefore, the audience) “this guy sucks and he WILL betray you,” I think we (or at least I) keep expecting on some level that he will have this transformation or show his “true” colors and come around. Especially after episode 4 where he buys the eopies back and “saves” the kids, then saves them again from SM-33’s programmed kill response.
But no. He sucks. He genuinely fucking sucks as a person, and he does betray anyone and everyone the moment it becomes most advantageous to him. He is a fucking pirate, through and through (affectionate).
I think it’s pretty ballsy of Disney to have allowed the creation of a semi-main character who breaks this mold and genuinely fucking sucks as a person and is allowed to stay sucky. I hope they don’t fix him in the finale, I like him broken. It’s a change of pace, it’s fun to watch, and not everyone can or should get a redemption arc, certainly not in a season 1 of something because then there are fewer places to go re: character growth.
(And don’t even get me started on the arrested development he has going on- in so many ways, he’s just as childish as the literal children if not more so, and I find that fascinating.)

I was literally laughing out loud hilarious enjoying this the most of any Star Wars.
Skeleton Crew Spoilers (Episode 7)
I like how Jod made this big thing out of how he was claiming the ship and then Fern was like "I CALL UNCLAIMSIES AND CLAIM THIS SHIP FOR KIDS ONLY 33 KICK THESE GUYS OUT" and 33 was like:
okay bet

2024. The year of the fire shield. 🔥
This was my second year performing with fire, and I had a lot of fun incorporating the sword and shield into my art.
A huge thank you to all the fire folks who have welcomed me until the flow community, including those at Ignition Fire troupe, Fire Camp, all my PNW flowmies, and everyone else i had the pleasure of meeting this year. It's so heartwarming being a part of this art community. 🧡
Thank you to all the photographers who helped capture the moments including EspressoBuzz, Vitz Photography, IRDeep Photography, Jason Surh, and htj2 Photography.
And, thank you to my fellow flow artists shown in these photos, including Ash Steel and Sterling Bishop.
May you all stay safe this 2025 and find inspiration in the world around you.

not gonna lie, when i saw that a cybertruck had exploded i legit didn't realize it was some sort of premeditated thing, i just thought it was just another extreme flaw in it's design. i had no idea fireworks were involved, i honest to god thought it just did that on its own

Will you draw 1872 Bishova, or just Cowboy Kate do you think, since Yelena wasn't in the episode?
I have a WHOLE bunch of cowboy!Bishova sketches in the works! Art has been a struggle the past couple of week, though, so it is slow going. But here, have a sneak peek :3

"i need to clean my room / do the dishes / do the laundry" = boring, horrific, makes it seem like a burden.
"i'm tending to my realm / the magic tower needs maintenance / i'm restoring the kingdom to what it was" = beautiful, amazing, spetacular, joyful, full of childlike wonder, actually describes what the task feels like as opposed to what it is
