Funds for Haiti and Haitian Americans
A Haitian American woman with long Covid and her daughter with cancer have both been struggling to raise funds that would help them during their illnesses. Both of them live in the Midwest, which is where a lot of the most recent fear mongering has been centered.
COJEHA is a Haitian organization that provides financial support for youth, teaches agricultural skills, helps ensure children attend school, and teaches other soft life skills. They're working on building a farm with fish and vegetable crops where teaching occurs, which will also increase local access to fresh food.
P4H Global is the organization that has been working on building the canal connected to the Massacre River, another agricultural project. They have also been working to support education in Haiti, with both teachers and students.
The Haitian Community Center in Springfield, Ohio. Springfield's food bank, community health center, and a local Catholic organization that provides aid are also accepting donations.
Richard Pierrin is a journalist who has had to flee Haiti and is trying to get a visa that will allow him to work, and that doesn't end after 3 months.
Marc Henry and his family have been dealing with food insecurity for months, and are trying to get funds so they can eat, as well as supplies like livestock and fishing equipment so they can sustain themselves even after the fundraiser is done. They're close to their goal.
An elderly couple's home was damaged multiple times over the last few years and they are trying to raise funds to finish construction. They are also very close to their goal.
A fundraiser for children in Jacmel to provide food, water, and clothes.
A fund for several families to secure plane tickets out of the country
OTRAH is an organization that helps trans Haitians and wants to expand their services to combat HIV. They don't have a gofundme, instead donations are discussed over email.
There is also this thread of Haitian gofundmes which updates fairly regularly
This document explaining the leadup to where we are now also names some organizations that could use financial support

I want you to imagine yourself, fifty years from now, sitting with your grandchildren. Imagine them asking you “what did you do during the Gazan Genocide?” What will you say? Will you say “I did nothing?” Will you say “I did what I could?” By donating to this fundraiser, you will be able to say “I saved a man from cancer.” I’m sure many of you have seen the fundraiser for @mohiy-gaza2 . What you might not know is that Mohiy himself is very sick. He told me himself that he recently had an MRI to diagnose a tumor in his pancreas, and now needs surgery to remove his spleen. Dealing with these illnesses is difficult enough for those of us lucky enough to live in peaceful countries; in a warzone Mohiy’s task is nothing short of horrific. I know pancreatic cancer is a difficult disease, but with our help, I believe Mohiy can beat it.
I know there are other fundraisers on your dash. I’m sure your bank accounts are already low from the donations you’ve already made. All I can do is beg you, from the bottom of my heart: help Mohiy and his family. I’ve already donated; please find it in your heart to donate whatever you can. To quote Mohiy himself:
Thank you for reading this. I know Mohiy and his family are grateful for anything you can give.

Hello, guys. I am once again reaching out to you to please help my friend Firas Muhaisen, his sister Nisreen and their family. If you haven't heard about them yet, Firas and Nisreen are two young medicine students, working tirelessly to support and provide help for their community back in the Gaza Strip. They are currently living in Egypt. However, the rest of their family, is currently exposed to Israel's cruel agression, as well as extreme inflation of prices and hunger. When the rest of the students of the world are coming back to school or universities, where they are spending time learning, Firas and Nisreen worry about the fate of their close ones and whether or not will they survive another day.
On top of that, they must pay $6000 USD worth of fees until 15th of October so they could continue their education.
Since about a month, I have noticed that their fundraiser is moving forward extremely slowly. Sometimes, they don't even recieve donations for days.
Today, someone donated over $600 CAD to the Gofundme, but the campaign is still far from finished. As @/malcriada estimated in their post, Firas and Nisreen would need to reach $16,571 CAD to pay their university fees.
As for now, the fundraiser have raised $9,174 CAD. There is still $7397 CAD to go!
There are 32 days left before the deadline.
$7397:32 = about $232 CAD raised everyday.
It might sound like a big number at first, but due to the collective effort, it's actually something we can easily achieve! It's 23 people donating about $10 CAD each. Or 4 people donating $60 each. I believe this is something we can keep up with!
Let's make sure to take this one worry off Firas' and Nisreen's shoulders!
Donate.
Fundraiser shared by @/90-ghost.
$9174 CAD/$16,571 CAD RAISED AS FOR THE MOMENT OF WRITING THIS POST.

soooo hi. i'm seren. you probably know me but if you don't, hello! i'm a 2spirit ndn transmasc who's been living in florida for the last uh [looks at watch] 8 fucking years! and after a series of unfortunate events i no longer have the physical, emotional, or frankly any capacity to stay in such a toxic, unhealthy environment for anymore of my life. it has been the culmination of all the worst things that have ever happened to me and to stay here any longer than i have to will quite frankly be the death of me. so. i'm moving back home to virginia in late 2025!
unfortunately, this is a very pricey endeavor and for reasons i'm not getting into, my savings have been drained and i am basically starting from square one to do this. so i am opening commissions for the foreseeable future to fund my move from florida to virginia. i make a pretty decent chunk of money at my job but my rent is almost $1400 dollars and i am fronting all bills alone so most of my money is currently going towards that. i already have a job laid out for me once i move so all funds are literally going straight into things like a down payment on a car, deposits at a new apartment, uhaul fees, etc.
payments for commissions will be done up front through whatever payment option you see fit - i have pp, cashapp, and venmo. turn around time should be no longer than a week depending on my queue but i will try my best to get all art out within a couple of days if i can!
if you like what i do, are a fan of closed loops and my art, or are just wanting to help a guy out, my ko-fi is here.
thank you all so much for any and all support <3 it means the world to me and any kindness offered is truly a blessing

you may have seen me post about fidaa’s campaign @fidaa-family2 (this is a verified campaign)
graphic by @fading-event-608
fidaa is a 29 year old woman from gaza with two very young children, muhammed and sila, one of whom was born during the war. her home was destroyed and she’s been displaced many times, and is currently separated from the rest of her family- her husband, her many siblings, and her parents. i can only imagine how nerve-wracking this is.
she’s doing her best to take care of her children by herself, despite facing hunger, thirst, widespread disease, and the threat of death. the other day, there was intense bombing near her and another family close to her was killed. life in gaza right now is hell and she told me they feel like they are just waiting for their turn to die.
fidaa and i talk often, and i feel lucky to know her. she’s an incredibly strong person, she travels long distances to find limited supplies for her kids and helps her siblings raise money even though shes separated from them.
but she needs help. the situation in gaza is so bad right now, the idf is preventing aid from entering and the food, water, and medicine available are extremely expensive. please share and donate to help her and her children survive and eventually leave gaza
$18,738 out of $30,000

Hello again ❤️🥹
an urgent appeal.🍉🍉🙏
We are a small family consisting of 3 members. We lived a beautiful life. I worked as a lawyer and my husband worked in programming. We lived in peace and security before October 7, but since that time we have not lived a single fine day. We were in our house at the beginning of the war, but We have Ahtaho Khan Yunis. We were the first people to leave. There was artillery shelling over our heads. Many died before our eyes. We escaped death and ran away more than 7 times while we were in Rafah and made tents.. Now we are in a tent after we were living a good life and we have a beautiful house. But unfortunately, the occupation has destroyed it. We are dying every second and every minute. If it is not from the occupation, then it is from living in a tent made of nylon in this extreme heat, or from the high prices through which we are unable to buy the simplest necessities of life. My child is exposed to many diseases and gets very tired. I appeal to those with good hearts to look at our situation, how we were and how we have become
I hope you see my account and see what we are suffering from, a new displacement and new tents. We are now sleeping in the street, me and my little child. He is suffering a lot. I don't know what awaits us. Our situation is very bad and difficult. It is truly tragic. I hope you help us with your donations, even if they are small. Don't forget us. We are in a difficult situation and my little child cannot bear it. I wish I had given him a better life than this, but he is not well now. He cannot enjoy his life or play like other children. He has become very afraid and cries a lot. I hope you help us and give us hope again. We need you and your constant support. I hope you look at us again and feel what we feel and what we live. Perhaps your donations will be the reason for saving my life and the life of my little child. I hope you always remember us and do not forget us.
Asking for help is not easy .l request a small donation of $ 10 or $25 from each person .$20 will save my family and help me cover travel expensesx
Donate even £5, even if it is small, it does a lot for us, helps us stay alive and gives us hope to continue our lives and that we can build a new life with these donations.
Donate to me and my little boy, he needs your support and your donation
