I am so serious when I say if you want to learn about light, you NEED to at least look at modeseven’s tutorials. even if you’re not pursuing a painterly style, this is all essential theory that can be easily adapted to different coloring styles. notice how none of these ever say ‘light with these colors and shade with these colors’? notice how this is teaching how light works on a mechanical level, and reminding the audience to adjust the actual colors they choose by context? THAT is good advice.

I think the fireside chat Harry has with Sirius and Remus pisses me off even more than Snape's Worst Memory. They are literally trying to excuse their actions by saying they were 15, and when Harry indigantly says that he's fifteen then the excuse becomes "he was interested in dark arts" and when Harry points out that they attacked Snape because they were bored, suddenly Sirius is like "I'm not proud of it" as if he still doesn't call Snape Snivellus and literally said that Snape deserved having a werewolf almost eat him. And then they reveal that James continued to attack Snape behind Lily's back even though she had started dating him because she thought he had stopped that. Like what the fuck.

I know that most of you are probably tired of me disappearing, then coming back and saying I'm alive, then going MIA again for months, rinse and repeat...

TBH, for the past year or so I've been seriously contemplating just leaving all fandoms stuff behind because I can't seem to focus and that's because I'm going through some internal changes.

I've been in therapy for a little over a year, and on depression medication for a little less than that, and tbh most the time my mood has been a flatline. I mean, it's not bad or anything. I' just kind of existing and learning to be nice to myself and leave some shit behind. Mostly what I'm trying to do right now is just find motivation again. I'm past the worst stage of "well, fuck, I need professional help cuz shit is getting real bad" and into the "things are not bad anymore, but I kind of don't know what to do now, but I know I gotta do something." It's a weird kind of hopeful.

Basically the worst is behind me, but the work I put into putting it behind me has left me tired as I've never been in my life before, and while I know I'm doing MUCH better, I'm also a bit lost because...so much of who I was was rooted in the traumas I had to leave behind, so who the fuck am I right now. If that makes any sense. That is probably somewhat of a clean slate to begin from, which is good all things considered.

Yeah, this is a whole lot of vagueness and rambling in a single post but the bottomline is that I'm still here. I'm not as active, but I'm here. Also my plans to move from Rio fell through, and I'm trying to do it again next year and, fingers crossed, it's looking like it just might happen this time, so there's that to look forward to.

(and @artisticreptilequeen thank you for not giving up on me. The level of kindness and care of checking up on me constantly is far beyonf anything I could reasonably hope and expect. I love you, and I'm sorry I haven't been around.
