This is how I see the world. No one's ever accused me of being normal, and I'm totally cool with that.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the largest Australian land predator, the fast and fearsome Dingo. Capable of reaching speeds of 30 mph, or 48 kph for you metric peeps, it is the apex predator of Australia. No snuggling, I promise this isn't a pic of my dog Turtle. I know you want to, though. #australia #dingo #Brisbane #aussie #predator #adorable #sleepy #awesome #goals #snuggles #notmydog https://ift.tt/2Uh9bNs

The first shipment of 100 shirts! Thanks to my team who stayed up until 3am sorting, packaging, and addressing all of the packages. And then I realized I put the wrong shirt in one of the packages and had to take everything back out and redo them. That was...frustrating. And too much for one person to handle, she decided it was bedtime and left two us to finish up. Definitely learned my lesson on inventory control! #responderrelief #hurricaneirma #hurricaneharvey #hurricanemaria #hurricanerelief #tshirts #thankscustomink http://ift.tt/2kFnta6

This past September and October, I spent two months in Texas, Missouri, Florida, and Puerto Rico working with the USCG on hurricane relief. I had honor of working with some of the most capable and most professional emergency responders I have ever met. Every morning looking around the room that was basically my home, I would see the tired, determined eyes of people who were already on at least their second cup of coffee. Reports would come in via phone, satellite phone, fax, radio, whatever method of communication we get to work. Some of those reports made you pause, some gave you hope and relief, and some systematically crushed it. We directed hundreds of assets, moving thousands of people and millions of pounds of supplies and gear. And yet the most humbling thing was the room and the calm quiet that pervaded through walls. Everything was just another problem to solve, a puzzle challenging us to figure out which asset to move where, what gear should be loaded on which plane, which team do we send in. As high stress, fast tempo as everything was, we planned carefully, executed, analyzed, and repeated. No one got excited, no one raised their voice, no one got angry. I had the privilege to fly in from VA, but many of those I working with lived in Houston, Miami, Key West, San Juan, Aguadilla, areas directly affected by one or more of the storms. Joking that maybe they would finally be able to their spouse it was time to get rid of the couch and get a new one, it was clear they were heavily affected by the storm. Some lost everything, and yet here they were, at work doing what they could to keep the overall relief effort moving. This movement is for them, the Responders, and thus was born Responder Relief: https://buff.ly/2BBOshB #responderrelief #hurricanemaria #hurricaneharvey #hurricaneirma #hurricanerelief #stillworking http://ift.tt/2BqCua0
