25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

This one is kind of hard to answer. I first played Hatoful in 2017, when I was but a wee chick with half a braincell to my name. The only strong opinions I remember having character-wise was that I adored Shuu, Sakuya, and Yuuya and blocked everyone else out. This is proven by the fact that my old storage server has channels for photos of ONLY those three.

The best I can assume for my initial Leone opinion was that it was neutral-positive since he's aligned with Yuuya. Tiny Ora was a biased freak with black and white thinking. Good to Yuuya = goated basically.

My opinion of Leone now is that he is an old dorky loser, incredibly attractive, and that we should go out for dinner at 8pm tomorrow.

Most difficult character design challenge is designing personifications of the 7 deadly sins that don’t look like this

I've seen like only one other person ever talk about this but like it's so insane to me that Shuu literally preferred death over handing Hiyoko's corpse to the hawks. I'm trying so hard to understand why specifically. I've seen it's a very intense allegory for how controlling and disturbing abusive relationships are, like Shuu wanted such total control over everything about her that he would rather die than lose that control, especially since he says he wants to "break" her again because killing her, dissecting her, potentially embalming her head (maybe not bc on second thought he has literally expressed interest in corpses that are rotting), and heavily implied doing the most disgusting thing imaginable with her body wasn't enough ig. But he doesn't love her, he says so himself, unless he's lying to himself, which I think does happen a bit with him, like how he claims everything he's doing is for scientific curiosity but in his ending even before the suicide by cop thing, it's painfully obvious he's getting some sick sexual satisfaction out of her panic and horror. End of the day idfk this is all off the dome and if anyone has theories or just wants to say something please share 🤲
