Personal Exhibition- Outcome:
Here is my piece once it had been set up. I am really happy with he posters and the bridge it has created to the rest of my visual elements. When sending the posters off to print, for some reason my text on the far left changed to black which is really annoying however there was nothing I could've done at that moment in time to change it.
It's interesting looking at the differences between my initial concept and my outcome as I managed to add more posters and elevated the narrative of the piece. I love the name I decided on for the piece and felt as though it helps communicate my topic visually.

Personal Exhibition- Video outcome Exhibited
We didnt have time use my floor designs so instead we rise printed them alongside our synopsis onto the floor by each persons piece.
Here is my video burned onto a disk and on a 10inch screen. I had to reduce the size of the video for it to fit onto the CD file as it was too big.

Personal Exhibition- Bad Audio technicalities:
After finishing my three audios, I began to locate some old jack port phones so I could connect my headphones into. On the day of setting up, which is something I strived not to do, I tried to open the phones which I had at home and export each audio onto them. However I couldn't do this as I didnt know how to get into them, luckily I brought some mp3 players as as back up and was able to get two working. I decided to scrap the catalyst audio and keep the two contrasting pieces so the listener can feel the difference between the two. This quick design decision was inspired by the sound of metal film and the video I previously linked into this post about the sound engineering of the film.

Bad Gateway- Bad timing consequences:
instagram
since the urgency of the deadline and the lack of communication. Our group didnt have the time to art direct our merchandise with the original intention. I was honestly gutted as I was really looking forward to elevate the branding into a humorous and ironic style. After 502, I felt this branding needed visual imagery to aid the narrative and I'm saddened that we never had time to complete this. I was very focused on my personal work that two other members of the group quickly went out to record some content. I didnt know this until after but glad they attempted this I am just disappointed I could implement my ideas.

Personal Exhibition- Posters for Plinths:
Continuing the development of my poster designs, I decided to make 4 small posters to go on my plinth. Since I didnt have my designs ready by the set time, I didnt give myself the opportunity to laser cut into the wood which is why I chose this outcome instead. I am really happy with the flow of visual narrative and prefer these to be placed on the plinths instead.

Personal Exhibition- Audio manipulation No.3:
My contradictive and most disturbing edited audio which is a complete flip of my audio no.2 intention. Bass and high frequency was the main drive for this outcome.

Personal Exhibition- 1189 and 200mm large Poster outcomes:
Using the UK hearing regulations as a reference for the piece, I created these outcomes alongside my existing style of the piece. I want to keep it consistent throughout which is why I carried the same styles to this area of work also.

Personal Exhibition- Large Poster Typography Development:
Since completing the visualiser animation, It enabled new ideas and inspiration for my large poster designs. I knew I wanted some typography leading my posters narrative aswell as some screenshots of my animation as it holds a lot of texture. Using two contrasting fonts, I began using the shape builder tool and the pencil to blend two together.
Despite my reluctancy, I did want to add some colour at one stage of designing. I looked at the informative colour for Deafness which is a dark blue. I eyedropped the Deaf flag to match the poster with a dark blue but again realised I didnt like this.

Exhibition Synopsis
'The sound of nothing and everything illustrates the risks and dismissive symptoms music lovers inherit when attending concerts over time. Informative legislations, or lack of, are conveyed throughout the piece to articulate the consequences of hearing neglect.'

Personal Exhibition- Audio manipulation No.2:
The second attempt at audio manipulation was to complexity isolate the effects I added onto my original audio. I wanted my chosen auto to be so mute in the background of this piece that you can only hear the narrative of the static and distortion. These additional pieces of work were fairly easy to create as I already had elements of editing to recycle and manipulate further to create new sounds.

Personal Exhibition- Visualiser outcome:
Overall, I am pleased with the quick turnout of the piece. It only took me a day overall to execute this outcome but I think if I had more time, I would love to revisit and tweak the piece to achieve my directable outcome. I think it is too sensitive and reacts too quickly to the piece despite how chaotic the audio is. I also would've liked to find a way to slowly animate the background aswell as the foreground because it feels very still against the content change of the shape. But considering this is my first true attempt of an animation subject, and using an animation to help navigate ym piece despite never enjoying the process, I am really proud of this outcome. it has allows me to experiment and find an interest in animation as I've began to understand certain tools and functionalities.

Personal Exhibition- Music Visualiser and further effects:
When asking for feedback by Yumna, I wanted to ask for her design approval. She did like the white shape animation however since expressing my need for the animation to feel consistent and blended yet visually contrasting, she proposed the idea of changing the blending mode of the animation. I didn't even know this was possible and was surprised I could do this on After Effects. After searching through the different modes, I found this one which perfectly aligned to my original intentions. I decided to expand the scale of the animation which is reactive to the audio in order to see the stages of textures within the blend mode. I didn't love how reactive the piece was to the audio as it bled over the screen but it did allow more room to look at the context between the contrasting imagery.

Personal Exhibition- Music Visualiser Imagery adjustments:
Once deciding on the colour of the background image, I thought about adding some descriptive text to amplify the topic of my exhibition to the viewers. Using a basic Helvetica, I began messing with the spacing of the text after creating outlines of the font. I wanted there to be structure with the text which is why I aimed to keep at as uniformed as possible. I thought it would be interesting if I was to juxtapose this structure by spacing out the working of the text within the structure to confuse the reader.
With this piece, I began enjoying the quest to limit the ease of reading the piece and started to try and confuse the viewer as much as possible to reflect the mental confusion a person may feel when loosing their hearing. I hope I am executing this goal efficiently as I have a few seeds of doubt when it comes to this goal. I don't want the design to look like errors but more like strategical design displacements. The more I place this goal within the design, I hope the viewers can understand this contextual reasoning.
