For most travelers to Greece, Athens will be your entry and exit point. Obviously, you cannot miss exploring this ancient city’s marvels. The Acropolis is an absolute must. Its historic premises that includes Parthenon, is bound to leave you spellbound. Don’t miss visiting the massive Acropolis Museum and Theatre of Dionysus just below the site. Most tourists of often concentrated around Fira, the island’s busy capital. If you want to escape the crowds head to the island’s tiny villages, or maybe go islet hopping. While you’re there, do try the island’s famous crisp dry wines and amber toned dessert wine, Vinsanto, both made from local varieties of grapes.

They love to spend long hours chatting over cups of coffee in tiny coffee shops that scattered across the country. Hemis National Park (Hemis)
Spread across 600-sq.kms in the catchment area of Markha, Sumdah, and Rumbak, the Hemis National Park is best known for being home to snow leopards and trekking. The park’s stunning variety of landscape from majestic mountains to endless flatlands and cold deserts, will leave you spellbound. For birding, the best time to visit is from April to June, but to catch a glimpse of the elusive snow leopard be prepared to freeze in winters.
Pangong Tso
When you first catch a glimpse of Pangong Tso, you’ll probably end up pinching yourself to believe it’s real. With its vivid turquoise water surrounded by rugged brown mountains, this ethereal lake is otherworldly. To call it the most beautiful lake in the world wouldn’t be unjust. Its beauty is something you have to experience for yourself. During summer, the lake plays host to a variety of migratory birds — Black necked cranes, Brahmani ducks, and Bar-headed geese.
