Week 11 of College
The 1st semester is slowly coming to an end and the start of 2nd semester will be in January. The tuition is no joke even though LSUA is the 2nd cheapest college in Louisiana and is “mostly” affordable to almost everyone. I’ve been giving it a lot of thought lately...

Fridge for the Books
The library is a freezer to keep all the dusty books fresh for the readers. I appreciate it a lot, but there isn’t any snow.

Speech Class
I was pretty dumb for thinking I wouldn’t have to present my speech assignment in class today, but I was unaware of the speech presentation before and I chose my topic free-mindedly. I couldn’t stop fidgeting when Ms.Christina wanted everyone to present in front of the class. I instantly felt nausea coming from every direction towards my stomach, and it wasn’t because of my breakfast-skipping routine...
But at the end of the day, it wasn’t that bad and was all well worth the nervousness. Ms. Christina gave me 10 bonus points.

Week 4 of College
Back in high school, I couldn’t see myself in college at all. I didn’t have the slightest hint of what I wanted to do when college is like throwing out money. I didn’t have the slightest idea of what kind of people I would meet either. Thinking about it all, everything is going smoothly almost to the point where I agree that life is being fair for once. Looking at everything now, I’m in the thought of where I used to cry because I wasn’t sure of what the future had in place for me.

My Impression of College
I didn’t have the slightest hint of what college was going to be like back in high school. My teachers were telling me that it was going to be insane because college would be nothing like high school. During that time my classes had guest speakers come in to tell us about their college experience almost every week. Every story was a rough one pertaining many struggles. Eventually, every single one of college-experienced speakers had a thread of the same color: “College is really difficult.”
College was nothing like how my teachers and everyone described it. College isn’t that tough (probably because I’m still a freshman). I couldn’t believe I was expecting people to not care and that I was going to be on my own and homework would pile as high as the sky. No. That’s just stereotypical college that everyone thinks. To my surprise, everything was the total opposite. People on campus are very outgoing and teachers and professors are very caring. It’s a very welcoming environment. It’s something I misunderstood walking in on orientation day.
