I wanted to post this for Temari’s birthday, but it’s 1am. Happy Belated Birthday, Temari! Check out my first ShikaTema fic! Here’s an excerpt from it. And yes, it’s smut. “I call dibs!” Ino breathed out quickly. “Dibs on…” He finally had his drink in his hand and followed her eyes to the subject of her attention. The princess of Suna was standing in the entrance of the room practically in lingerie. Audible gasps made their way across the room and Shikamaru wondered if people were gasping in shock or desire. Or maybe both. The dress she wore was completely sheer, a pure white that draped its way down her body. There were two deep slits in the fabric that travelled all the way up her hips, revealing the creamy skin of her legs. If the sheerness of the fabric wasn’t enough to draw attention, she also had a large feather shawl that hugged her shoulders. The same soft, fluffy material made its way behind her in a train that dragged behind her regally. Finally, she had thin strapped heels, adorned in the same fluff as her dress along her elegant feet. Her toenails and fingernails were a gentle lavender that matched the thong that could be seen through the fabric of her dress. Shikamaru’s mouth went dry, but he couldn’t bring himself to wet his lips with the alcohol in his hand because he was sure his fingers would be shaking uncontrollably, so he sat in his discomfort, thirsty, for something… He was gaping at her, as was the rest of the room. She made her way to the table where her brothers, father, and sensei sat, swaying her hips in an almost overtly sensual way as if she was purposefully trying to put on a show. He’d heard shinobi chat about how cruel and unforgiving of an opponent she was, despite being a princess. It was the funniest thing to him that the word princess would ever be used to describe her after the stories he heard of how she mercilessly pursued her enemies and wouldn’t halt until they were either dead or begging for death. It ran in the family, apparently. But tonight, she actually looked like a princess… well, maybe not a princess. More like an angel--the feathers decorating her shoulders acting as her wings. Heat was rushing down his back across his glutes and winding its way around to his groin. His breath was hitched and he was hoping no one could hear his thoughts or see the blush making its way up his neck. Even if they did, they wouldn’t be able to point fingers because it seemed that most everyone was blushing intensely at the sight before them. Continue reading here

As someone who's suffered from severe OCD in the past and continues to moderate my ruminations and compulsions, seeing this scene brought tears to my eyes.

Kawaki is so traumatized by the image of vases that when he saw the beautiful vases in Ino's shop, that he dropped it and suffered a terrifying flashback.

I've had so many flashbacks around imagery of aliens that I would find myself up all night, sobbing and scared of what would happen to me. When you've suffered trauma that you associate with sounds and images, it feels like you're truly pulled back into the place of danger.

One type of therapy is replacing bad feelings around those images with good memories. Rewiring your brain to not go into panic mode at the image of something that terrifies you so.

It makes me so happy that Kawaki faced his fear of vase-shaped things and worked diligently to fixed Himewari's vase. I know how hard it must have been for him and he pushed through so well.

I'm so proud of him and he makes me cry. I love how well Boruto writers captured PTSD and I'm so happy to see Kawaki rewiring his responses to training, closeness with others, father figures and more. I love that Naruto calls Kawaki his son. Kawaki has been called son by two others who abused him mercilessly. Naruto is showing him that he doesn't have to associate that relationship with hurt and pain, but with love and affection.

When Kakashi finds out that Kashin Koji is a Jiraiya clone....

Y'all!! I have a headcanon for Chocho! I drew this because the idea wouldn't get outta my head! So, Chocho goes to Kumogakure for a summer to visit her maternal grandparents and train with Omoi and Darui. Her grandma begs to do her hair in braids and beads and Chocho loves it! But when Karui is walking Chocho back to the village, she cries because she's nervous of what her friends think. Karui doesn't play that and has always instilled confidence in her baby, knowing that she was likely to be the only chubby girl and the only brown-skinned girl. "Now that's not the beautiful, confident butterfly I know. Do what you're best at and show them who you are and how happy you are to be you." Chocho immediately gains the self-compassion that Choji and Karui worked their asses off to uplift her with and proudly marches back to Konoha hand-in-hand with her mother. When she gets to the gates, team 10 is waiting for her with her best friend Sarada. She runs pass Choji who has his arms outstretched for a hug (sorry Choji) because she's excited to see her best friend Sarada. Anyhow, Shikadai likes her hair but show interests by expressing his curiosity, and Inojin insults her while complimenting her and Sarada is squealing excitedly at the cuteness overload. Anyway, needless to say, Chocho proves to be the cutest genin and saves the day with her style once again. Ugh, it's hard work being as fabulous as Chocho
