John and Sherlock are roommates in college and had a fight about Sherlock starting to use cigarretes again even after John told him how damaging it was and that he hated seeing him doing that.] Hey mate. ((No Mary. Would like you to respond as Sherlock in paragraphs and later as Matthew in texts.)) After Sherlock's return from the grave, John had finally given in to dating men. He had agonized for years about his attraction for the man and he was tired of pretending he didn't find him attractive. But, of course, after being shot down rather embarrassingly at their first dinner together, he wasn't about to come onto him again. He had met this handsome nurse a bit younger than him that had been flirting endlessly with him, and he was finally asked out on a date. They had been going out, Sherlock barely paying attention to him, -or so it seemed- probably assuming it was another hopeless girl. He had told Sherlock he was going out tonight, and that he was going to get ready but he accidentally left his phone on his chair. When he came back out of his room, showered and dressed, he found Sherlock with his phone in his hand and a blank expression. "Sherlock! I thought we established you needed to leave my stuff alone!" He exclaimed as he grabbed it back and looked at the screen, noticing it was his conversation with his boyfriend, Matthew.

John is wearing a nice dress shirt with trousers, ready to go to a club; however, he hasn't told Sherlock it's a gay club yet, as he had been avoiding him and his deductions for a whole week and had surprisingly gotten far in his opinion. He stands in front of the chimney to look at himself in the mirror and fix his hair uselessly while Sherlock is laying across the couch. "How do I look?" John asks his best friend, turning around and looking expectantly at Sherlock.
