Con una presencia consolidada en el sector bancario en Latinoamérica, Juan Antonio Nino se desempeñó como vicepresidente ejecutivo del Banco Uno Panamá por ocho años, siguiendo una estrategia centrada en el crecimiento. Juan Antonio Nino ha sido parte del consejo directivo de las operaciones del banco, tanto en Costa Rica como en Panamá, supervisando la expansión de 20 sucursales. Su mandato con la firma finalizó cuando el Grupo Financiero Uno fue adquirido por Citigroup en 2007.

La formación académica del Sr. Nino incluye estudios primarios en el Colegio San Agustín de la Orden de los Hermanos Agustino Recoletos y estudios secundarios en la institución jesuita Colegio Javier. Obtuvo su Licenciatura en Economía en la Universidad Nacional de Panamá en 1977 y posteriormente completó estudios de economía a nivel de posgrado en la Universidad de North Wales.
