you know that one reddit post that’s like where did all the pussy go in supernatural. and how like supernatural gets progressively more homosocial and miserable over time because it’s about three guys in a legacy television show where they’re the only constant and so as a consequence of the long arc of that history means that narratively the main characters are trapped in a torment nexus they can never leave. and because they are trapped the show has long since abandoned trying to depict the guys as attractive or desirable or really even horny at all. because they’re miserable. like the structural misogyny of the show means women are disposable and presented only for the purposes of being killed off to further torment the male characters so the only thing you’re left with is three men in an intensely codependent pit of hell who all hate their lives and each other but that hatred & resentment produces a type of intimacy greater than anything they could ever experience outside of the context of the hell pit. and if you were to show a late seasons episode to someone who had no context for the show they would think wow these guys are so miserable and pathetic like it’s not even cool how brooding they are they just have no life outside of constant violence. that is also what happens in the mission impossible movies

lately my kids have been playing Baby Knife, which consists of somebody acting as a baby with knife hands chasing people while going "baby knife baby knife" over and over. is this a thing or are they just insane
