how do you spot somebody doing a squat? i've only ever seen people doing it for bench

you basically reach to the front of their body from behind them and under their armpits, but you sort of want to be hovering away from their body and following their movements until they need actually need help, like this

but the second they start slowing down too much or going back down to the ground, you hook around their chest/shoulders and pull them back up.

if you see what looks like two bros hugging each other at the squat rack at a gym this is probably what’s happening
