KNOW ME BETTER
Hello Tambler! I just wanna share a brief story of my life. I'm Jhon Leric Cristobal Dionicio 17 years and 10 months of old. I am a premature baby when my mother gave me birth. I was born on December 30, 1999 - a Jose Rizal day. I am the only child of my parents. My father's name is Mr. Eric Cristobal Dionicio and my mother is Leonor Cristobal Dionicio. Maybe you may be curious if they are realted to each other because they have the same midle initial. But, honestly they are not, both their relatives are not related. They are lovers since High School. July 22, 2000 when they decided to get married and live together after my birth. My father is just a simple ice block vendor in Don Domingo Market, Tuguegarao City when i am still a kid. And later on he became a member of Kyokushin Karete Do Cagayan Chapter. After promoting as Belt Belter holder, he became Instructor in some schools like University Cagayan Valley, Maila Rosario College, MCNP, Isabela State University, Piat College. My father may not a perfect one but for me and my mother, he is the best Father in the world. Many says that i and my father are same in many things, we're both joker, we love to draw or sketching, we dance and sing, and love sports. In short, i'm idolixing my father. I admired him so much when it comes to sport, i also learned martial arts because of him, he taught me also how to drive a motor even at a young age. My father joined a lot of tournament before and always go home with Trophies and Medals. I am so proud of him. My mother is one of the greatest mother in the whole world. Others say that i'm her look alike - her boy version. My mother is a syrong woman i've known. I remember before when i am only a kid, i was a naughty before that's why sometimes my mother scolded me at hit me with hanger. But when i am crying and don't want to stop, they simply buy Royal softdrink for me, and i will stop crying then. But even though sometimes my mother scolded me, i love so much my mother because i knew, i will not learn if she will not teach me the right thing to do. My mother works hard for our family, she decided to go abroad after my Elementary graduation. My grandmother Lily Lacambra Sabban helped my mother to go abroad year 2012 up to present. My mother is super kind, generous, caring and loving person. Not only for me and to my father but to others too. She can sacrifice for my betterment. She taught me how to be a God fearing person. She can do everything without complaining, she loves me and my father unconditional. A year ago, my parents decided to work together so that they can sustain all the needs of our family especially for my studies, now they are both working as an OFW in Hong Kong. Truly i am thankul and blessed for having parents like them. When i was a kid, people around me likes me that much, because i'm a jolly, talkative, brave and bright boy. I know how to respect older people as my mother taught me. At the age of 3 years old, i started my nursery school at finished Kindergarten age of 5 with Best in Class award in Atulayan Day Care. During my Elementary days, it was only an easy go lucky for me. From Grade 1 to Grade 3 i am always belong to top 10. I love to draw and my favorite subject then is Mathematics. But i like playing before, that's why when i am already in Grade 4 i'm not belong to top 10 anymore. But, i never worried before. I love to join extra curricular, like poster making, dancing, singing, sports like playing chess and karate, i also joined Jamboree during my Elementary days and going different places from Luzon. I graduated with awards, as Boy Scout of the Year.I enrolled in Cagayan National High School for my Secondary. Because i am good in drawing, during my 1st and 2nd year as Junior High they admitted me in Special Program of Arts. Before i think of quitting, because of some problems. But my father talked to me to continue my study. So, when i was 3rd year and 4th year, i decided to be in regular class. That's the time when i met John Rhem Purrugganan and Kelvin Macarubbo my bestfriends. In Cagayan National High School i enjoyed what they call High School life. I also competed in Taekwondo tournament, and awards like medals and certificates. I also competing in assembling Rubics cube. I and my Bestfriends with my close cousin Benjo, are in good bonds. Together we laugh, we sings, we dance, we, plays guitar, hanging out everywhere. In short we are cool, in bad things and good things, we are one. And even i graduated already in Cagayan National High School and enrolled my Senior High in another school we are still good friends.I enrolled in Saint Paul University for my Senior High. At first it was a hard for me to adjust because all are new people. It was a tough year for me during my 1st year, without knowing my parents, i always got absent in school. Again, it came in my mind of quitting but since my mother spend a long vacation i told her the truth. My mother was crying then before, she felt disappointed for what i made. I cried to and my father talked to me, he asked me to continue so that my mother will be happy. And so, i continued untill now. During my infant days, childhood untill now, my parents are very supportive to me, they protected me as parents do. I feel special to them. They give everything i want and everything i need. That't why i bear in my mind everything my parents done for me. I strive hard now to attain my goals and now im open relationship with Ruby Anne Palattao Ibañez from now one year and two months stay together and counting. And one of my biggest dream is to become one successful Business Man in the future. I am trying my very best to be a child that my parents want to be. I promised them that one day soon, i will pay every single thing they did for me. Their efforts, hardworks and every sweat from them will be paid of soon. I will be a son to be proud of in God's name. My motto in life is " Never give up, and be confident in what you do. There may be tough times, but the difficulties which you face will make you more determined to achieve your objectives and to win against all the odds. "Questions: 1. CELLPHONE The ability to communicate is important in today's mobile society. One communication option is a cellular phone. Having a cellular phone, also known as cell phone, offers you different features. Some features include storage capabilities, a camera and its small size. These, and others, are some reasons why a cell phone is good to have. Before you buy one, you should decide how you will use it so you can make a good investment. There are many different reasons to buy a cell phone. For Safety: Having a cell phone can help in emergency situations. You may not have access to a landline telephone or another person's cell phone. Types of emergencies can range from tornadoes to car breakdowns to hurricanes. If you want a cell phone only for emergencies, purchasing a pre-paid cell phone would be the way to go. Replace Landline Telephone: You can use a cell phone as a replacement for a landline phone. This option can save you money. Before you explore this option, though, compare how much you can save when you switch landline-phone usage to cell-phone usage. Choose a cell-phone plan that matches your needs and budget. For Business: A cell phone can have personal or business uses. This allows you to leave your office. You will not miss telephone calls. Having a business cell phone means you will be able to contact your clients, vendors or suppliers. Make a list of features for your business cell phone. One feature to have is decent sound quality, so you don't miss anything the person, on the other end of the call, says. For Legal Evidence: The use of cell-phone records and pictures can help with legal cases, such as a car accident. If you have a cell phone with a built-in camera and have an accident, you can snap a photo of the car damage. The photograph and police accident report can provide legal evidence. For Music: When you spend time traveling to work or school, you can listen to your music. Some cell phones use a media center that gives you a way to download songs. Check how many songs you can have stored on your phone. For Text Messaging: A good reason to have a cell phone involves sending text messages. Text messages act as short descriptions typed into your phone. You can send these messages when you are in a noisy environment, such as a nightclub. Find out if your cell-phone plan charges a different rate for texts as opposed to telephone calls.

WHIPLASH
The films opens with Andrew Neimann playing the drums at Shaffer Conservatory of Music, the music school in USA and he's just an alternate drummer in some school band. Andrew abruptly stops playing drums when the band conductor, Terence Fletcher appears at the door in front of him and asking Andrew some personal information of him. When Fletcher asks Andrew why he stopped playing, he resumes playing drums. After he finishes playing, Terence says he did not mean to resume playing then he asks Andrew to show his rudiments by playing the drums again. While Andrew plays drums, Fletcher slams the door but he comes back to retrieve his forgotten jacket. The next day, Andrew enters one class aside from Fletcher and there, he meets the drummer named Ryan Connelly. Shortly, the professor arrives and the class performs "Billy's An". Andrew sees the man in silhouette looking at the door. After the class, Andrew peeks into one of the classrooms where the class is handled by Fletcher, and he is being looked at by Fletcher. Later, back at the Studio Band, Andrew is playing drums as core drummer. Suddenly, Fletcher breaks inside and Andrew becomes horrified of him. Fletcher conducts every saxophonist and bassist one by one and finally the drums. After that, Fletcher tells Andrew to come and he is told to come at his room tomorrow at 6 in the morning. Andrew meets Nicole, the girl working at the cinema and invites her to go out with him. The next day, Andrew realizes that he is late for class. Andrew struggles and rushes quickly to the school, only he goes inside the empty classroom. Andrew knows that the class actually starts at 9 AM. Andrew waits three hours before the class. At exactly 9:00:00am, Fletcher arrives and begins conducting the song called "Whiplash." During the band practice, Fletcher confronts then suddenly yells at a saxophonist named Metz playing out-of-tune and angrily tells him to get out of the Studio Band. This escalates Fletcher's abusiveness and wrath. Fletcher has the class take a break. Fletcher and Andrew have a conversation about his life and family. After the break, the class resumes. But when Fletcher loses the patience of Andrew's drum tempo, Fletcher throws a chair at Andrew. Fletcher slaps Andrew every four in 12 counts he makes and he will not stop questioning until Andrew answers whether he is "dragging" or "rushing". Andrew answers "rushing" then Fletcher forces Andrew to tell the whole band that he is really upset, louder! Fletcher then mocks Andrew about his parents being separated. Once again, Fletcher tells Andrew that he is upset, louder. Thus, Andrew is being embarrassed and insulted. At his home, Andrew keeps practicing drums, making his hand bleed in the process. After the band performs at the competition, Tanner, core drummer, gives his music sheets to Andrew. Andrew neglects the music sheets to buy a can of coke at the automated vending machine. As Tanner is looking for his music sheets, they mysteriously disappear. Tanner can't play without the sheets. Andrew steps in, stating he knows the song, Whiplash, by heart. Andrew plays well and earns Tanner's spot. Thus, Andrew is the new core drummer. Andrew's family is having dinner at his home and talks about his experience in Shaffer. At the Studio Band, the band is practicing the new song called "Caravan" which needs an extreme time stamp measure of 330 bpm. Fletcher dismisses the band except Andrew when Fletcher discusses him about that note. Shortly, Ryan Connelly, whom Andrew met from the other class, arrives. Andrew plays the drums to test the ability of the tempo but his tempo fails while Ryan plays well. Therefore, Fletcher takes Ryan as the new core drummer, but Andrew does not agree to this. Jealous, Andrew will be the core drummer if he earns the part. Andrew breaks up with Nicole, saying his ambition will only hinder their relationship. At his home, we see Andrew practicing drums harder with a pitcher of water with ice beside him in case he bleeds. As he fails to reach the required tempo, Andrew punches the drum in frustration and his hand is bleeding, dripping it in the pitcher of ice. At the Studio Band, Fletcher tearfully reveals in class that a talented former student of his, Sean Casey, has died in a car accident. The band rehearses "Caravan", but Carl Tanner struggles with the tempo; Fletcher auditions Andrew, Ryan and Tanner for hours while the class waits outside but the three fail to reach the required tempo. When it is now Andrew's turn, Fletcher kicks the chair then throws the drum away in wrath and even tells Andrew to increase the tempo. In this process, Andrew's left hand is bleeding and the blood drips onto the drum set. After a one minute of playing, Fletcher finally tells Andrew that he earned the part. On the way to a jazz competition, the bus that Andrew rode breaks down. So Andrew rents a car but he arrives late for rehearsal without his drumsticks. He drives back to the car rental office and retrieves the drumsticks, but as he speeds back, his car is hit by a truck. He crawls from the wreckage and despite his injury and bloodied face, he struggles to make into the jazz competition. With his left hand injured, he is unable to play and drops the drumstick to the floor. After that, Fletcher says Andrew that he is done. Andrew attacks Fletcher in front of the audience. Andrew is expelled from Shaffer and contacted by a lawyer representing the parents of Sean Casey. The lawyer explains that Sean actually hanged himself, having suffered anxiety and depression after joining Fletcher's class. Sean's parents want to prevent Fletcher from teaching; Andrew agrees to testify and Fletcher is fired. Andrew goes to the club where he sees Fletcher and the jazz performers. As the song ends, Andrews walks out of the club but Fletcher calls him and having a chat with Fletcher. Fletcher explains that he pushes his students beyond the expected so they might achieve greatness. He invites Andrew to perform at JVC festival concert with his band. Andrew agrees and invites Nicole, learning that she has a new relationship. On stage, Fletcher tells Andrew he knows he testified against him, and in revenge, leads the band in a new piece Andrew was not given sheet music for. Andrew leaves the stage humiliated, but returns and begins playing "Caravan", interrupting Fletcher as he addresses the audience. The rest of the band joins him, and Fletcher follows suit. Andrew ends the performance with an extravagant drum solo. Fletcher is at first angry, but gives a nod of approval to Andrew as he finishes.
Guide Questions
1. What life lessons learned from the movie? - Never give up Andrew Neiman, shows perseverance through what most people would call "unnecessary abuse," made especially worse because it comes from a mentor. Encouragement is not always by your side in life. The tough days at school, work, or home could be very discouraging, and adding the abusive words of your boss or, in this case, Neiman's instructor, Fletcher  could drive someone into a corner and break them down. But that isn't the case with Neiman. His will to be great overpowers the failures and the discouragement. So turn any negative vibes from life into positive energy just like Neiman.
 2. What part of the story told by the movie was the most powerful? Why? - That’s the hardest step. The one where many falls short and yet, that’s the step without which all other actions won’t matter much.

But we should not lose hope for our dreams. Bear in mind that even the roughest road has an end. And at the end we will succeed. Just like Andrew, he never stop and lose hope to show his talents.
 5. If you have a chance to ask a character in this movie a question, what would it be? - I choose fletcher to ask a question and the question is Do you really need to be angry with your students if they are wrong? THE ART OF GETTING BY
Tumblr media
George is a fatalistic high school senior who is a gifted artist. George is often haunted by the realization that he will die someday. He ceases to complete his homework, as he feels that everything seems meaningless. As a result, he is put on academic probation. The next day, George goes up to the school roof and sees Sally smoking. When a teacher comes up, George quickly pulls out a cigarette and takes the blame. Sally meets George to thank him, and though George is at first reluctant to talk to her, he soon warms up to her. On Career Day, George meets a young artist, Dustin and is inspired by his thoughts about life. He brings Sally with him to visit Dustin and it becomes apparent that Dustin likes Sally. Sally invites George to a New Years Eve party. At the party, she dances with her ex, while George gets drunk, puking outside before falling asleep in the alley. Sally finds him there and apologizes. For Valentine's Day, the two go out to dinner and Sally asks him to have sex with her. George, clearly shocked, doesn't answer. After his pause, Sally says they shouldn't as he is her only real friend. He is quiet for the rest of the time they're together and goes home early. He doesn't answer Sally's calls or talk with her at all. Sally instead invites Dustin out and flirts with him. The two of them start going on dates after Dustin kisses her. George doesnt do his English term paper and is brought to the principals office. The principal gives George two choices: expulsion or do every piece of undone homework, about a years worth. At home, George confronts his stepfather about lying about work, and they get into a physical fight. George takes off for Sallys place. She brings him into the hallway, where he kisses her. Sally kisses back but breaks it, revealing Dustin in her apartment. Angry and hurt, George leaves. The next morning, George finds his mother at the park. She explains that his stepfather lied to her about work and that theyre divorcing. George consoles her and begins to rethink his situation with Sally. At school, he gets each of his missing assignments to complete. His one art project is to make a painting that is honest and real. George completes the assignments and takes final exams, while Sally continues being with Dustin. Sally and George meet in a bar, where Sally reveals she's going backpacking with Dustin through Europe, and is skipping the high school graduation ceremony. George tells her he loves her and they go back to her apartment, where they kiss. Sally admits she loves him as well, promising that they will be together one day. George triumphantly turns in all his assignments and his art teacher applauds him on his art project. At the ceremony, Georges name is called and his mom is shown to be proud of him. George goes back to the art classroom and looks at his art project: Sally's smiling face. Sally, having opted not to go to Europe with Dustin, enters the room and looks at the painting with George and the film closes.

SHORT TERM 12
Tumblr media
Grace is the young supervisor of Short Term 12, a group home for troubled teenagers. She lives with her long-term boyfriend and coworker, Mason, but finds it difficult to open up to him emotionally. When Grace finds out she is pregnant, she schedules an appointment for an abortion; she eventually tells an overjoyed Mason about the pregnancy, but not about her plan to have an abortion. At the facility, Grace and Mason focus their efforts on Marcus, a Short Term 12 resident who is about to turn 18 and is struggling with the prospect of leaving the facility. Grace bonds with Jayden, a recent arrival at Short Term 12 who has a history of self-harm. Jayden distances herself from the other teenagers as she does not intend to stay at the facility for long, and when her father fails to pick her up on her birthday, she reacts violently towards the staff. After her outburst, she sits in the "cool-down room" with Grace, who shows Jayden her own scars from cutting herself. That night, Jayden leaves the facility in the middle of her birthday celebrations and, unable to force her to return, Grace follows Jayden to her father's house. After finding the house empty, they return to Short Term 12. When Jayden reads Grace a cryptic story she has written, Grace begins to suspect that Jayden was abused by her father. At a party hosted by Mason's foster parents, he proposes to Grace, who accepts. The following morning, Grace is upset by a phone call that reveals her father is being released from prison, and refuses to be consoled by Mason. She arrives at Short Term 12 to discover that Jayden has been picked up by her father overnight. She is angry at the decision to send Jayden back to her father, but her boss maintains that Jayden denied that she was abused by him. Later that day, Grace finds that Marcus has attempted to commit suicide after the death of his fish. While waiting at the hospital as Marcus is being treated, Grace breaks down and Mason becomes upset with her for refusing to talk to him about how she feels; instead, she tells him that she no longer wants to marry him and that she plans to have an abortion. Upset, she returns to Jayden's father's house and breaks in, intending to injure him while he sleeps, but she is interrupted by Jayden, who suggests that they smash his car instead. Grace opens up to Jayden about being sexually abused by her own father, and after Jayden shows Grace bruises from where her father hit her they return together to Short Term 12, where Jayden reports her father for physical abuse. Grace goes home to apologize to Mason, who tells her that Marcus will recover. Several weeks later, Grace starts seeing a therapist and she is shown viewing a sonogram with Mason. Mason tells the rest of the staff about running into Marcus, who is doing well and has a girlfriend.Chat Conversation End Type a message...
1. What life lessons learned from the movie? - I learned from the movie is a open-hearted, quietly emotional look at the staff and residents of a foster-care facility for at-risk kids, based on the time Cretton himself spent as a counselor in a similar institution.
 2. What part of the story told by the movie was the most powerful? Why? - "A dengerous behavior" because With so many positives, it’s easy to look past the negatives. In a film filled with troubled kids and grown-ups dealing with grim material, the outcome for many of the characters may not ring true. Bad things happen to good people all the time, and while it’s true we can overcome these events, sometimes we can’t.
 3. Who was your favorite character in the movie? Why? - Grace because through the eyes of Grace, a twenty-something supervisor at a foster-care facility for at-risk teenagers. Passionate and tough, Grace is a formidable caretaker of the kids in her charge and in love with her long-term boyfriend and co-worker.
4. Did anything that happened in the movie remind you of something that has occured in your own life or that you have seen ocur the others? - As the experience itself faded away, I was able to contemplate the positive after-effects of growing up in a group home. I was able to publish about my amusingly traumatic childhood and the escape I found in pop culture. I will always bear the scars of my youth, but as I advance into middle age, it sometimes feels like my adolescence happened to someone else, someone I used to be. In the decades after I left Campbell House, my mind transformed the ugly, writhing mass of painful memories of my group-home experience into a fuzzy, muted hurt that grows easier to deal with every year.
 5. If you have a chance to ask a character in this movie a question, what would it be? - I choose Grace to ask a question and the question is "the other characters seem like real people? Failing that, do they look pretty?
