some people have expressed confusion about why we add people to the list for ageing characters up, i hope i can make our reasoning a bit clearer to people who might not understand.

first of all: we don’t oppose all ageing up, just when it’s used as an excuse to create nsfw or otherwise inappropriate content of underage characters.

a significant portion of aged-up content will feature the youngest character as being 18, or simply refuse to specify their ages at all. this indicates the true motive of such content: not to create a realistic portrayal of an adult, but to nudge a child just over the line of social acceptability. and this line only exists because people would be perfectly willing to go lower, if they could.

this brings us to my other main point: why do adults age up characters for nsfw in the first place? because they looked at this young character, and decided they wanted to see them in a sexual context. that is an unavoidable step in the process, and we do not support it.

It isn’t something we’re going to track on the blocklist, because it is easily missed and most people mean no harm by it! But Josefumi Kujo (Jojolion) and Yoshikage Kira (Jojolion) are, at the least, distant relatives, making Kirafumi an incest ship. 

In Jojolion canon, the Joestar family birthmark carries the same connotations as it does in the main universe. Kyo and Kira, members of the Joestar family in Jojolion/SBR canon, both have birthmarks. So does Josuke, and-- proving his connection to the family-- so does Josefumi.

I’m just curious but how many people are using the list? I know there’s like eight people running it but who’s using it?

i’m not really sure how we’re supposed to know that, but judging by the feedback we’ve received both on and off tumblr, it has been helpful to at least some people
