I know that real estate isn’t able to be bought/sold in the current demo, but is crypto also like that? I wanted to try out some of the options and noticed I couldn’t sell it, so wanted to bring it up in case that was unintentional.

You can buy/sell it at the beginning of ch2 (when you check portfolio). In the future, you'll be able to do that at certain points of the story.

Unfortunately, can't put it into the stat page without a very problematic bug.

Was MC’s little sister an “oopsie baby” (an accident lol)? I was just wondering since there's such a big age gap between her and the MC…~20 years? It's a surprise the mother would want another child at that stage. I might have a theory that the father is different.

Just wanted to chime in how much I’m loving Jinlai so far! The family dynamic is super compelling —very Succession-esque. I especially love how you wrote the mother—strict, controlling, and straight up abusive, but there’s no doubt that she wants the best for MC (barring trivial stuff like mental health and personal happiness ofc).

If the answer is spoiler-y feel free to ignore this, but my question is: Ch 2 implies that MC’s mom vets her children’s friends, and Lu Tian and MC have been friends for 5 years. Have Lu Tian and MC’s mother ever spoken to each other? And if she knows about LT, how does she feel about MC’s friendship with him since his business is more outwardly shady/disreputable?

The mc after college became a bit too old/independent for their mom to be vetting their friends, no matter how controlling she is. It's not a romantic relationship, after all, she'll be all over that;)

She was also not as strict/thorough towards the mc as she is to Xiaoli, at least in terms of personal freedom and relationships. As for the mom/LT dynamic, I won't spoiler it for now.

Honestly don’t stress yourself out. The wait wasn’t that long especially compared to other IFs. And the chapter itself was great as well so even if we do have to wait longer it’s worth it.

Lu Tian, Qi Liwei, Liao Yi (male) Lina, Xu Yufei, Su Wenling (female) As for describing their personalities... it's a bit to complex, and spoilery, to fit into a tumblr post. There will also be prolonged flings, like with the MC's cheating friend.

I also have a few questions is that okay with you? I saw you mention in the forum that there is a Lu Tian scene in ch 2, but in my playthrough I didn't meet him at all. Is that because I play as m!mc or is it because I didn't choose some option?

Also, can mc have a strong platonic relationship with RO even though we are not on their romantic route? Like, can mc still know their past or secret?

2) Yes, with some. Definitely with Lina, most likely with Su Wenling, kind of with Qi Liwei, maybe with the Liao Yi. Still deciding on the friendship route for LT, there will probably be one, but you don't get to know him as in-depth as on the love route.
