It’s so funny seeing folks say “Okarun is adding another one to his harem!” and “Harem route here we go” when Chad Okarun has turned down girls in the name of his love for Momo, has only ever been jealous when it comes to Momo, and recklessly protects and listens to Momo above everyone else.

That boy is dedicated to one girl and is also horrendously down bad for only her, I bet even the thought of a harem makes him sick

i think a lot of people are taking this post the wrong way :(

im HAPPY that the scene was made to make me uncomfortable. i think that, as a piece of media, dandadan captured that feeling of discomfort and helplessness absolutely perfectly, without it being tailored toward weirdos who just. want to see a girl get assaulted by aliens lol. to me, the fanservice (NOT the r*pe scene, but the scenes with momo and okarun!) is successful AND the scenes meant to make me uncomfy are well done as well! im giving the series praise! sorry if i worded this weird lol

i think a lot of people are turned off by the first ep/first few chaps of dandadan due to That Scene with the aliens trying to r*pe momo

but to me it wasnt fanservicey. at all. it was SCARY. i thought “im supposed to be afraid” and NOT “im supposed to be aroused.” i think the scene was handled successfully by the mangaka and the studio, despite me not being the target audience lol

oh and id like to add that the first chapter/episode shes introduced, she has hallucinations and delusions. its not like she suddenly has a downward spiral or something causes it (i guess you could say okaruns ball did it, but even before she has the ball she alludes to believing that her beauty is angelic/the reason why she was chosen to become gods disciple). shes just Like That and tbh shes so special to me and i love her

SLIGHT spoilers if you havent read/watched ddd yet (nothing big tho dw) but aira is genuinely delusional. she believes she is sent from heaven to fight demons, and that okarun (her love interest) is a demon she is destined to fight and fall in love with. she also has major Main Character Syndrome, believing she must always be the leader of the group/have the attention on her. :)

i, as a schizophrenic person, HEAVILY relate to this. when i was in the hospital during a psychotic episode, i also believed (delusionally) that i was a disciple to god (or, sometimes the opposite; a disciple to satan, depending on the day), and that i saw demons/angels. of course mine and your experiences as schizophrenic people ARE NOT comparable, but seeing her delusions and what i would definitely call a God Complex, i think she makes for great representation, even if your delusions are different than hers.

she is not actually schizo/confirmed as such, but it is verry verry easy to see her that way!!!

i will warn you that there is an attempted S**ual Assault scene in episode 1/the first few chapters. but if you can get past that, it doesnt really happen ever again and the anime/manga definitely mellows out after that!

BUT other than that, i hope you decide to read/watch and hope you enjoy!!

I hope you all can understand the true sweetness of this scene, to me it was pure love and intimacy. It has nothing to do with their age, nor is inappropriate at all. It really, really melted my heart. I'm an adult and I can tell you I hope every 17 y/o gets a tender love like this one, and I hope the ones watching this scene use this as an example of how gentle love and intimacy should be. It is important to see the contrast, love should be sweet, fun, all smiles and laughter like this scene, not like the one Momo experienced on the first episode. Wait for your Okarun, my ladies 🥺💖
