I just understood something important today. I really like k-pop. I might not be the most active member of the k-pop unity and I don't know if I can call myself an army since BTS are my faves for over 3 years now. Maybe I don't want to. But I really enjoy enjoy k-pop and I surely enjoy BTS music A WHOLE FUCKING LOT. And during a conversation with my friends today, I realised that they are aware of BTS and know that such people exist. But for them, even though they used to like k-pop in the past BTS, or other boy groups for that matter, are now just 'girly boys'. So I realised that I don't want to show BTS to people. I don't want to talk to people about the fact that I like k-pop. Not because I'm ashamed of this. Gosh no. But because BTS is a huge part of my life and I really appreciate them for what they do, what they achieved and how they share their music with the world. I want to keep it to myself. I don't need other people to understand me and I don't need them to like k-pop. This is something for me, my safe place. Not a fandom, not a tumblr page about BTS. Just BTS and me. I think this is what matters. When you you don't have to be in a fandom to be a part of something amazing and you don't always have to share it with people. Sometimes you can be alone with what/who you love/like and be the most happy about it.
