Chasing after God

The world tells you to chase after things, and then you'll have everything you want. But the Bible says to chase after God, and then you'll have everything you need. (In times like these it is crucial to know the difference between your wants and your needs)

John 6:33 " Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need."

Sealed

“And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while still uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they are uncircumcised, that righteousness might be imputed to them also,”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The emphasis that Abraham was not (physically) circumcised. Yet he was (spiritually) and so he was SEALED with the seal of the RIGHTEOUSNESS of faith. That he would be the father of all those who believe!

(Why was Abraham circumcised then? Maybe it was because it created a covenant through blood??? Idk thoughts)

“In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ NKJV

After having the same faith we were SEALED with Holy Spirit as the same type of promise that Abraham held on to in faith🩷🩷🩷

Side note: circumcision in the concordance is to cut around. Wow around what? The hard parts around our heart until it becomes flesh!!

Stand on TRUTH! You are the Beloved of Christ

Double mindedness is a faith and walk killer. It will have you question the goodness of God, his love for you, and sometimes even your salvation.

To combat this we need to read our bibles and truly be transformed and listen to who God says we are and not the enemy/the world

If left unchecked oftentimes double mindedness leads to lukewarm Christianity.

Double mindedness is often the result of not knowing our identity in Christ and being built on the firm foundation of Christ (and his word)

“he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”

‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬

In the NLT translation it goes further to say that it is an issue of divided loyalty which causes instability in our personal walk with Christ and will lead to a roller coaster effect in our daily lives.

“Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.”

This is what the Bible teaches about having divided loyalty.

““No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.””

real love and real giving, involves sacrifice. As king David said, "nor will i offer offerings to the Lord my God which costs me nothing" 2 Samuel 24:24

Don't give God your left overs. Things given to Him or for Him should cost us something, not nothing.

“And He said to them, “To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables,

so that ‘Seeing they may see and not perceive, And hearing they may hear and not understand; Lest they should turn, And their sins be forgiven them.’ ””

To those who in faith have decided to follow Jesus Christ and keep his word we are able to understand and know the kingdom of God and who we are and what our inheritance is.

To those who are not yet saved (who do not have the right to be called children of God) the truth is hidden in parables so that they may not seek after the Lord JUST for the benefits that belong to the sons and daughters of the most high.

We can only truly be servants and truly enjoy doing the work of the Lord by dwelling with him and living in the spirit because our flesh does not want to sacrifice anything.

The level that we are able to die to ourselves directly correlates to the level we are able to serve. For Holy Spirit to bring life to us in and the different areas of our lives we have to be dead to self in those same areas for him (he cannot bring life to life but life to death. He cannot resurrect a living thing)

Treasures of heaven

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13‬:‭44‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The kingdom of Heaven is hidden to those who still have a veil on them, but when the veil is lifted for a moment, and we are able to find an understand the mystery of salvation through Jesus Christ we hide that truth in our hearts and we joyfully go and give all that we have and sacrifice all that we have just to be able to find our way into that field, which is the kingdom of heaven

Obedience leads us to relationship.

“No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.”

‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

He uses friend because of the intimacy of the relationship. You tell your secrets to a friend and you comfort a friend

The Greek word for friend is philoi which is a friendship that is based on reciprocity rather than having an end.

“Peace be still”

God is omnipresent and omnipotent he is everywhere. Meaning his peace is everywhere.

Amos 3:3 can two walk together unless they are agreed?

We can decide to walk in his peace that is part of our inheritance.

If we are walking in anything else we have come into agreement with what and (who) we’re walking with
