Walking 10 000 steps
Description:
As I previously did once a long time ago, I wanted to challenge myself again and see whether I could still walk 10 000 steps one day (As this is the recommended amount of steps). I planned out my walk through the City Warsaw and through one of it's parks "Łazienki".
Reflection:
This activity taught me the importance of consistency and setting realistic, daily goals to maintain a healthy lifestyle. During the whole walk, I noticed improvements in my energy levels and mood, which motivated me to continue. This whole experience also encouraged me to spend more time outdoors, and helped me feel more connected to my surroundings.

Ronald Mcdonald Foundation
Description:
Today I spent over two hours at the foundation. I was given a task I have never had before, and one I usually do. The first one was dividing rubber loom bands according to colour. The foundation was supposed to have fun and creative lessons with kids outside of Warsaw so they had to prepare all their toys and materials for a long trip. I was assigned prepping the bracelet materials. This lasted a long time (almost two hours). As I had a bit of more time I was also assigned a role I was familiar with- sharpening crayons for the children.
Reflection:
The first task was quite challenging. There was A LOT of new bands I had to unpack and segregate and even more to segregate because they were mixed already. The loom band are quite small so it requires great precision to not leave one band in the wrong colour by mistake. My other challenge was splitting the amounts of specific loom band colours into section to form the boxes. There was a specific amount of plastic pieces that would fit and be used as dividers for the bands. I had to strategically divide them and plan out how many plastic pieces I have left for the colours to be spread equally amongst the boxes. Even though the first task seems simple, doing it for so long was absolutely draining and I felt like my eyes were barely working. However, I am very happy that I didn't give up and somehow managed to finish this task. I was persistent, patient and precise. During my second task I also had to be precise and patient since sharpening a lot of crayons takes a while.

Baking
Description:
Today I decided to bake a blondie which is kind of like a vanilla brownie. The process seemed simple and it also didn't require a lot of ingredients therefore I looked forward to baking.

Reflection:
As I just previously struggled a bit with cooking, baking this cake was a breath of fresh air:) Even though I mess up in baking sometimes, it still brings me a lot of joy. This recipe made me very proud of my baking skills since the cake turned out delicious. It was crispy on the outside and warm and gooey on the inside. I practiced my patience, time management and was challenged with a new recipe. All in all, this experience was great.

Cooking
Description:
Today I decided to follow a Spaghetti Recipe that I found on the internet. Even though it might look pretty simple, I usually struggle a lot to cook the easiest meals. I either don't measure the ingredients properly, or I burn or undercook the food. Of course, I knew how to boil spaghetti, however, it was the sauce that was a true challenge for me that day. I only needed cherry tomatoes, garlic, salt and olive oil.
Reflection:
After following the directions from the recipe, I faced my fear of cooking a proper, some may even consider fancy, meal. It was really delicious. This experience brought me a lot of satisfaction since it came out really tasty. I practiced my patience, how to balance out my time with cooking (when to start boiling the pasta from the sauce), and managing my stress and worries that I'll mess up. Sadly, my only mistake was that I made a little too much sauce for the noodles, however, I will learn from this and plan out my future measurements more precisely. Nevertheless I am really happy how it turned out and that I learned a new delicious recipe that I plan to incorporate into my diet.

Walking over 12 thousand steps in San diego
Description: Today, I set a goal to walk 12,000 steps but ended up exceeding it. The walk took me through diffferent neighbourhoods in California and i saw a lot of different plants that we dont have in Poland (palm trees and cactuses)
Reflection:
Walking 12,000 steps was both physically and mentally refreshing. As I surpassed my goal, I realized that staying active longer than planned gave me a sense of achievement. The walk reminded me of the positive effects that regular movement has on both the body and mind.

swimming in the ocean
Description: Today, I went swimming in the ocean. At first I went in shallow water with my niece and then later I went deeper alone (I was scared to let he go that far). It was a refreshing yet challenging experience. The waves and tide made me feel both small and connected to nature. I had to be mindful of my surroundings, stay strong against the current, The salt water also made it harder for me since I couldn't open my eyes under water. Swimming in the ocean requires both physical strength and mental focus as the water is super unpredictable (again the water current and waves).
Reflection:
Swimming in the ocean challenges both body and mind. The strong waves taught me to stay calm under pressure and adapt to changing conditions. At first , I felt a bit anxious about losing control, but I learned to trust the rhythm of the water! This experience showed that I need to improve my stamina. It also deepened my respect for nature and reminding me to stay safe by setting up my personal limits.

Morning yoga everyday for 5 days
Description: I did yoga in the morning on the field everyday of my VA trip. The fresh air and open space helped me feel grounded and connected to nature. It was a peaceful way to start the day and improve both my physical and mental strength and get ready for painting and doing art.
Reflection:
Practicing yoga outdoors in the morning was calming and energizing. Learning the Tree Pose (on one of the pics you can see preparing to do it) taught me how to find balance and focus on stability. It required patience and mindfulness, which helped me feel centered. This experience showed me how important it is to connect with nature and breathe deeply in order to calm down and relax

walking around the forest
Description: Every day of my VA trip I walked through the forest and fields in the countryside with my friends in Pieńki. We enjoyed the beauty of nature, explored new paths, and shared the peaceful surroundings.
Reflection:
Walking through the countryside with friends was a refreshing experience that deepened my connection to nature. We explored new areas together and appreciated the peaceful environment. As I live in the city, these walks reminded me of the importance of connecting with nature. This whole trip was a very grounding experience.

Paddle boarding (SUP)
Description: I went paddleboarding on the lake today. It was a mix of relaxation and challenge. I had to focus to stay balanced while paddling across the water. The lake has less waves than the ocean and is more calm, however, there was some king or=f motorboat race so I had to face some difficult waves. Nevertheless, I felt connected to nature as I swam across the lake.
Reflection:
Paddleboarding on the lake taught me the importance of balance, coordination, and patience. Staying centered on the board while paddling through varying waves and currents was challenging but fun. I had to focus on each stroke, adjusting my paddle to the water current. This activity helped me improve my stability and gave me a deeper appreciation for beauty of the lake.

Helping in school for the open day
Description: For the school’s Open Day, my friend Hela and I guided a group of new candidates and their parents, showing them around the different subject tents. We provided information, answered their questions, and talked about the school's best features.
Reflection:
Helping during the Open Day was a fun experience that improved my communication and leadership skills. Leading a group of new candidates and then talking to their families with Hela required teamwork and clear communication. I learned how important it is to make a positive first impression and be approachable.

Ronald McDonald Foundation
Description:
Today I went into the hospital to help out at the Ronald McDonald’s foundation. I spent about an hour drawing one color page this time since I was on the run and had a lot of schoolwork to do. Nevertheless, I made time to visit the foundation and share my creativity.
Reflection:
As usual, it felt great to spread kindness, and it was very heartwarming, knowing that I’m helping the children. And yet, this time with different since I had a lot of schoolwork to do (later that day I finished everything I had to do) and still I made time to help a community which shows that I am improving on my time management skills.

Ronald McDonald Foundation
Description:
Today I helped out at the Ronald McDonald foundation as always I designed and drew color pages for the kids. Today, I actually did two papers which took me a little bit more time and I spent around two hours at the foundation.
Reflection:
As always, I enjoyed my time helping kids and felt great knowing that I gave effort in helping some kind of community. Additionally I got to explore my creative side which made me spread kindness with a huge smile on my face since I am doing the thing I love (drawing) and I’m helping a community in need.

Going to the ballet- DRACULA
Description:
Today I went to to see the ballet at Opera Narodowa with my mom. The piece was called ‘Dracula’. I haven’t seen a ballet performance in a long time so I was very happy that I got tickets.
Reflection:
The performance was fantastic. The orchestra played the music live, and all of the dancers were very flexible and danced to the rhythm. I’ve never seen anything like this piece. It was very gloomy and dark, yet enjoyable and entertaining. This performance made me realize how much I enjoy watching live live performances and I can’t wait to go to the theater, opera or ballet again.

Description:
Today I decided to practice my drawing skills and I designed this building in the shape of the triangle.
Reflection:
I think this drawing really expressed my creativity and it was a great way of practicing with pencil (i don’t really draw with pencil). As I want to study architecture, I think this was a nice exercise to do to explore my talents.
