we are so ableist about memory. people with good memory take for granted the fact that they can recall as much as they can, and use that to taunt, guilt and threaten people with memory issues. many neurotypes and mental illnesses cause memory lapses. traumatic brain injuries can cause memory lapses. brain cancer can cause memory lapses.

even if your memory is good, it's not right to guilt someone because they can't remember something. trust me, people with memory problems are desperately trying to remember: it's just that we literally can't. it is a very literal "i can't remember".

the end of an era 😔

so with the post that went up yesterday, i would like to announce that i have officially fulfilled the promise of my url and posted every fukunaga (in the manga. provided i didn’t miss any…..lmao) WHICH MEANS. unfortunately. that this blog has now come to an end :(

i’m not gonna do every fukunaga in the anime (or stage plays, or other haikyuu media that i might be forgetting??) because i value my time and sanity, and honestly even getting this far through the manga surprised me. i would not have been surprised if i gave up like thirty chapters in LMAO. but going through the anime would be way more time consuming for me, and being a full time uni student, devoting that amount of time to this blog just wouldn’t be feasible

THAT BEING SAID, if anyone’s interested in starting an every fukunaga blog: anime edition, go buck wild!! i don’t have a patent on posting pics of The Boy lol. i just ask that you start your own blog - i wanna keep this one because i’m a sentimental bitch lmao

but anyways!! this really looks like it’s gonna be it for me, and i just wanna say that i’m gonna miss the time i had with this blog and the interactions i had with all of you guys :( my main is over at @king–gary, so even though this blog will no longer be running you can still find me over there (mostly just reblogging shitposts jhgfghj)

thank you guys all so much for this lovely experience 🥺 i’m gonna miss you all, and most of all i’m gonna miss having fukunaga in my life so prominently. may he forever live on through our collective saved screenshots 😌

also after scrolling through the whole blog, I came to a conclusion there are 3 types of Fukunaga:

- the actually good quality panels where we can see and admire him (and his pretty face, sometimes even pretend we undestand a reference in his pun)

- the bad crop™

- the messy blur aka his true state

these three types are, of course, not mutually exclusive, especially since furudate likes to draw him very blurry and in the awkwardest spot possible to crop. like, a lot. most of the time, actually LMAO

I want to rage, to erase this crushing sense of helplessness in my lungs. To snarl instead of sobbing. I wanted to be shocked at this injustice. To be surprised and treat this as a horrific incident and not just a symptom of a bigger problem.

But I've witnessed how racist bigots reacted to Floyd, the instinctive racist response and "jokes" when people identified China as the one who was at fault with the whole COVID-situation, and how I immediately thought that those "low-key" racist thoughts will escalate someday to deadly actions. I listened to some of my friends when they said that I'm exaggerating.

And I wish- I wish I was. I wished that they were right and I was wrong. But look at our bloodied history. Look at where we are now.

One step forward, eight bloody steps back.

Music HC for AoT + a few JJBA characters

hi, so i had an idea to write hc about which genres, artists or specific songs I love would these characters listen to. ofc i recommend checking all of them if you don't know them. enjoy, i guess

AoT

Eren - he's listening to Rammstein and you can't change my mind. He loves letting out at least part of his anger while listening.

Mikasa and Armin - I think they would like polish artits I love - Kwiat Jabłoni and Ralph Kaminski (I really recommend them if you like folk-pop and alt-pop!). They would also probably listen to some japanese artits, maybe Kenshi Yonezu.

Marco - I LOVE the headcanon, that he's a My Chemical Romance fan. It's a nice contrast to his rather cheerful personality. Also because of mcr he would know some other emo and punk bands, maybe Palaye Royale, Sleeping with Sirens and Green Day. I think he would also enjoy listening to some classic rock like Queen, The Beatles and Led Zeppelin.

Jean - I see him having quite similar music taste to Marco (because he showed Jean music he likes), but being more into punk than emo. But I think he would listen to pop/rap songs and maybe Ralph Kaminski more, especially song "Czy ty słyszysz mnie?" with Daria Zawiałow and schafter.

Ymir - as a gay icon she would definitely listen to Mother Mother and girl in red. I think she would also like some older songs, maybe classic rock and some old pop, since she's over 70

Historia - She'd probably love beabadoobee, First Aid Kit, girl in red and Kwiat Jabłoni. I think she'd maybe listen to songs from cartoons or anime, maybe fandubs.

Sasha and Connie - these memelords would love songs they know from memes, vines and tiktok, and probably listen to 90's and 00's pop.

Reiner, Annie and Bertholdt - I don't think they would listen to music a lot. Probably it would be just Reiner listening to some songs he heard on the radio and liked and the other two don't minding it.

Hanji - I think they would love songs popular in Europe in 00's and 10's like "Ai Se Eu Te Pego", "Mr. Saxobeat", "Dragostea din tei" or "Каникулы" and maybe 80's Polish rock (like Perfect, Lady Pank, Ira, Dżem) if someone showed them this kind of music (damn, that's my whole childhood)

Erwin and Levi - I'm not sure what would we have in common with music taste, but I think Levi wouldn't listen to music at all and Erwin would most likely listen to film soundtracks and maybe jazz?

JJBA

Joseph - I see him listening to this 30's song "My Girl's Pussy" by Harry Roy & His Orchestra. And he would probably like 80's music in general.

Kakyoin and Jotaro - I imagine them (mostly Kak) listening to city pop, for example Tatsuro Yamashita and Anri. I don't see Joot really interested in music, but he would probably know some western 80's artists (thanks to Joseph) and maybe introduce Noriaki to the ones the haven't heard of yet.

Josuke and Okuyasu - I think they would listen to sth similar like Connie and Sasha, so songs they know from memes, but also some hits from all around the world.
