Block 2 - Project - Landscape Interrupted
Project Details:
Look around you and notice the natural landscape that exists; mountains, woodland, areas of water, rivers, parkland, the sky etc.
Now look again and notice how the landscape may have been altered by human intervention.
What artefacts (human made objects) exist and interrupt the natural landscape?
Consider how you may highlight the juxtaposition between humanmade and the natural environment and what that expresses.
Collect images where you see this happening a and share them on your blog/ research workbook.
Choose two final images that best express the Landscape Interrupted theme.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Research - I didn’t do any research for this project, but I did go to class when we went though the Adobe Spark.
Contact Sheets -
Selected Images + Test Canvas -
Final Canvas -
My workflow:
Research - I didn’t do any personal research for this project, but I did attend the class briefing of this project, when we went though the Adobe Spark.
Contact Sheets - All the images I shot for this project.
Selected images + Test Canvas - I selected out these images as I think they show how the landscape can be interrupted by a man made object like a building or tower, as you can see in this images I shot and selected, because they have a beautiful landscape of hills behind them but you just have a big building or tall tower in the way that’s a distracting you while looking at that area or the area around it.
Final Canvas - I really like this final canvas as it show something you normally see on a daily basic but makes you think what’s the area behind or around it looks like, but overall I am happy with the final outcome of this project.

Block 2 - Project - Sense of Time
Project Details:
You are required to make a range of images of the same landscape over a period of time.
Choose a landscape, either urban or rural which you can access easily and safely multiple times and at various times of the day.
Spend some time studying and recording the changing atmosphere and light happening in the landscape (evidence of this process should be in your blog/research workbook).
Present two final image as a diptych. These images should be from the same point of view, but should convey a different atmosphere.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Research - I didn’t do any research for this project, but I did go to class when we went though the Adobe Spark.
Contact Sheets - Tree outside of my house.
Round 1 - 06.04.21 (evening)
Round 2 - 20.04.21 (evening)
Round 3 - 07.05.21 (morning)
Selected images + Test Canvas -
Final Canvas -
My workflow:
Research - I didn’t do any personal research for this project, but I did attend the class briefing of this project, when we went though the Adobe Spark.
Contact Sheets - All the images I shot for this project.
Selected images + Test Layout - I picked out these images as I think they best show the passing of time as it’s the same tree that has changed quite a lot, over a short period of time.
Final Canvas - I really like this canvas as you can see the change in seasons, atmosphere and sense of time that’s passed. Overall I am happy with the final outcome of this project.

Block 2 - Project - Zine
Project Details:
You are required to produce a zine. A zine is a self-published, non-commercial print-work that is typically produced in small, limited batches.
Zines can touch on a variety of topics from music and art, to politics, sexuality, humour and personal memoir.
Making a zine is all about self expression and playful creativity.
Your zine can be homemade or can be produced through one of the many online options for zine making.
Your zine should have a theme or narrative. You can include 10 or more images. Your zine can include drawings, text, collage etc.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Research - I didn’t do any research for this project, but I did go to class when we went though the Adobe Spark. I did goggle how to make a zine and made a few with different size paper, like A5, A4 and A3. I decided to use A3 size paper for my DIY zine.
Here is how I made it:
Contact Sheets - I have a lot of images so I’m just going to show the individual folders.
Selected images + Test Layout -
Final Layout of Zine - (as I can’t post the video) -
My workflow:
Research - I didn’t do any personal research for this project, but I did attend the class briefing of this project, when we went though the Adobe Spark. And I did go test runs of making a demo zines using different paper sizes, so I could see what size would work best for the handmade zine, I’d created.
Contact Sheets - All the images I shot for this project.
Selected images + Test Layout - I picked out these images as I think they best show the theme of what’s in the sky at night like the moon and stars etc. The test layout I think works as it’s in little groups of theme like the different phases of the moon then the different types of stars, that you can see on a clear night.
Final Layout of Zine - I like how it has a front cover and that I have put a little bit of information about what the zine is before you look and read through it. Overall I am happy with the final outcome of this project.

Block 2 - Project - Brand Slogan
Project Details:
Task -
An Environmental campaign are looking for a range of related images to advertise the launch of their new slogan.
Choose one of the following companies to be your client.
WWF: World wildlife fund.
Greenpeace.
Marine Conservation Society.
Glasgow City Council.
Slogan:
Not all Rubbish, is Rubbish.
The work bit:
The stimulus for the images must come from reappropriating recycled materials.
Use recycled packaging/ waste as the main subject for your range of images.
What you do with these materials is up to you, construct sets, make clothes, use as lighting modifiers.
The images can be edited or added to as you wish, can contain collage elements, be montages, have added text, or be a straight photographic response, the main focus must be on the recycled elements… with consideration given to the client and the wording of the slogan.
Details
1 - Series of images edited and presented to a high standard of finish.
2 - Presentation board showing images on a range of publications which may include:
(this will be covered in professional practice week commencing
Poster
Images size for social media posts
Livery for the side of a bus
A magazine advertisement
Merchandise, cup/ pillow/ stationary
etc.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My original idea was to do WWF but I changed it to Glasgow City Council.
Research - I did some research but researching some images from Goggle to get inspired by them and think of creative ways to shot the images I need. I did also go to class when we went though the Adobe Spark for this project.
Here are the google images I selected out to get inspired by:
Contact Sheets -
Selected Images + Test Canvas + Presentation board Images -
Final Canvas + Final Presentation board -
My workflow:
Research - I did do some personal research for this project as I googled images to get ideas of things I got create and how to photograph them in a beautiful ways. And I also did attend the class briefing of this project,
Contact Sheets - All the images I shot for this project.
Selected images + Test Canvas + Presentation board - I selected these images out as I think they are the best from the day of shooting. I like the structure of the images and the framing and the colour tones.
Final Canvas + Presentation board - I really like this final canvas + Presentation board because I like all the bright colours, and the concept / hiding meaning beside it, of recycling and I think the way I have created and shot this project, shows it off very well. I really enjoyed making the presentation board with adding an image and text onto a surface like the t-shirt and the mock up of the Instagram post etc. But overall I am happy with the outcome of my work I have produced for this project.

Here is the test run I did:
Contact Sheet - (real proper images for final canvas) -
Selected images + Test Canvas -
Final Canvas -
My workflow:
Research - I didn’t do any personal research for this project, but I did attend the class briefing of this project, when we went though the Adobe Spark. I did do a test run after the class was finished, as it was something new to me and I wanted to try it before I shoot the proper one, as it was new technique and I think doing the test run helped me a lot with framing.
Contact Sheets - All the images I shot for this project.
Selected images + Test Canvas - I selected out these images as I think they all work well together and the test canvas I think work well together with the match and mixing, with the colour and you can see the area I shoot.
Final Canvas - I really like this final canvas as it was something new to me when I got the brief, so overall I am happy with the final outcome of this project. I also really like the change of colour as it was sunset and that you can see the horizon line going straight across the image.

Block 2 - Project - Reimagine
Project Details:
FIND a photograph. Not yours.
STUDY the photograph. What do you know about the elements of the photograph?
Does it have people in it? Who are those people?
Is it a familiar place? What happened there?
Does it signify and event? Describe the event.
How do you FEEL about the photograph?
If you know nothing about the photograph, write down imagined stories; possibilities within the frame.
Ask others about the photograph.
Using the photograph as a starting point, CONSTRUCT a narrative using images of your own. Include found material if you like.
Present the images in a way that INTRIGUES the audience.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Research - I didn’t do any research for this project, but I did go to class when we went though the Adobe Spark. I found a photograph that was of me on my 1st birthday, that I'm using as photography and making narrative with that, of my happy memories through the year from being born to present day.
Contact Sheet -
Selected images + Test Canvas -
Final Canvas -
My workflow:
Research - I didn’t do any personal research for this project, but I did attend the class briefing of this project, when we went though the Adobe Spark. I did all though a lot of old photographs to find the right one, I wanted to use.
Contact Sheets - All the images I shot for this project.
Selected images + Test Canvas - I picked out these images as I think they best show what I was wanting this project to look like. The test canvas I made I like the placement of the images and what’s in them but I just need to re-edit an image or two.
Final Canvas - I edited some of the images slightly but overall I am happy with the final outcome of this project.

A2 (150 ppi jpeg) multimedia mood board
One stand-alone image. (jpeg)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Research - I didn’t do any research for this project, but I did go to class when we went though the Adobe Spark.
Contact sheets -
Selected Images + Test Mood Board -
Final Canvas + Mood Board - Brand
My workflow:
Research - I didn’t do any personal research for this project, but I did attend the class briefing of this project, when we went though the Adobe Spark, and I did a 30 minutes task that was to take one image of a brand name that relates to you, a quick edit of it and upload it to the class padlet.
Contact Sheets - All the images I shot for this project.
Selected images + Test Mood Board - I selected this images from the rest as I think these are the best once, where you can see what’s fully there and the lighting and placement of items in the images are good.
Final Canvas + Mood Board - The final canvas of the PlayStation image I think works well as an stand alone image. And I think the mood board also works well together because it has the same colours tones with the blue and oak from the table.
P.S. I think realised that there is a few spelling mistakes within the final brand mood board, it’s supported to be “Brand - PlayStation” and “(PS = PlayStation)”.
