I highly recommend, if you are on the fence about the Cassandra Clare case. You read this court document.
The fact that you can put each character and plot point next to each other and they are the exact same. Says something. I didn’t think they were going to have much of a case. But when it’s this similar. Down to a rebellious sister whose cooking is mocked. I have no sympathy for CC and I will no longer be supporting her books/shows/endeavors.

For real this time!
Alright everyone! Things will (hopefully) be happening soon! As you can see, we're all decked out for July Camp Nano and within the next couple of days I'm going to be narrowing down what I want to be completing during that time. At the moment I'm not necessarily working on anything since life has been a bit hectic, but I did get some work done on my brainstorm journal tonight, so that's something! I was also able to get a better adapter for my computer so my internet doesn't suck and I can actually get online!
I'm also going to do my best and get a review of two typed up the next few days to get that back in the works (since I've been seriously lacking as of late) so look for that Wednesday!

I have good news guys!
And no, it’s not that I’ve finished the second drafts of my books (although I wish I was T.T) No, I’ve finished reading another book! That brings out reading challenge to 5 books completed out of 30! Obviously I’m running a bit behind on my goal, but I’m determined to hit 30 books this year! I’ve finished the Demonologist as well as S:ES (book 5 of the Ring series) so I’m hoping to get those reviews typed up and posted here soon!

Well, I’ve been possessed again
I had no idea that Koji Suzuki had written a 5th book in the Ring saga but now I have S//ES and I feel just as I did while reading the very first book. I’ve only been reading for 2 days and I’m already 68% finished with it.
In other news, I’m going to be looking at my schedule so I can try and work some more on writing book reviews (since I have a ton to write up) as well as working more on the second drafts of the Aces High trilogy. I’ve been wanting to do some writing, but there was a medical emergency in our house, so I’ve had to devote most of my time to that. I’ve also decided that, though the story is technically finished, I think I might write a book about the events following the end of book 3 for AH. I can’t go into too many details right now since they’ll contain spoilers, but I am pretty excited to get to that point :)
As for Camp, from what you say in my other post April was a bust. In a little less than two months is the second session of camp and I really do want to work on a project, but I don’t know if I want to work on the second drafts or if I want to try and finish a different story. Motivation for me has been... slim and almost nonexistent, which is devastating. I’m hoping I can get myself out of whatever funk I’m in so I can get back on track

It’s been slow going recently, but at least it’s something.

Writing Update
Well, April’s Camp is almost a completely bust. I’ve barely worked anymore on my memoir and I’m trying to work on the second draft of Aces High, but some night I’m just too tired to focus on it.
To make things worse, I almost fell into a scam with Page Publishing. As far as the reviews and posts as telling me, this company is a complete bust and I got my hopes up for nothing. As much as I want my book out there, I’d rather go through rejection after rejection before I allow a company to take advantage of me. My stories mean the world to me and I want to share them with the world. I’ve emailed the rep that I’ve talked to once before and addressed my issues, now I just have to wait for his response.
So now I’m just sitting here, working more on the story that’s pretty much dominated my life for the past year. Not that I mind because I absolutely adore this story.

Above, my pristine copy of Goblet of Fire that I bought a few years ago.
Below, my original copy of Goblet of Fire that I waited in line for when I was 9 years old and stayed up all night reading. And read countless times since then in all sorts of different situations and locations until it ended up looking like this. (We all know how long the wait between GOF and OOTP was!)
It’s my favorite Harry Potter book I own.

Me as a child: *creates an entire complex dystopian dungeon story with a vet clinic set and a couple toys with character development, conflict, and an edge-of-your-seat finale*
Me now, as a writer: *clinks two characters together* hehe they’re kissing
