Street art by Paulo Arraiano
Portugal based artist, Paulo Arraiano, just completed this enormous 4-story painting on the exterior of an old building in Lisbon. His dreary dark faces could easily haunt the dreams of a random passerby. Paulo’s work has been re-produced in a variety of mediums including t-shirt designs, vinyl toys, cd packaging, and iPhone cases.

Finding Secret Angles in Backstage Theater Photography with @nikolaikrusser
To see more Nikolai’s photos of the theater, follow @nikolaikrusser on Instagram.
Access is everything. St. Petersburg, Russia Instagrammer Nikolai Krusser (@nikolaikrusser) works as a lighting technician at the Mikhailovsky Theatre, but his behind-the-scenes photography of the performers has become his passion. His access allows him to create photos that he calls “charming documentaries” — images that capture secret and mysterious angles. Nikolai believes his best photos are the ones that didn’t go as expected. “Either my hand trembled, the space around me didn’t want to follow my idea for the shot, or everything in the composition was the opposite of what I planned,” he says. Instead of seeing imperfections, he saw the images in a new light. “Everyone can make a good photo by accident,” says Nikolai. “What’s important is to recognize when an accidental shot is great.”
