THOUGHTS: Trapped like a Rat

I first awoke to the sound of a shower … It was brief, the noises dulled and bouncing beyond compare. My entire body felt stiff and pained. Like a fire was bouncing up from within my entire gut. I knew I had been shot – can remember the scene beforehand. What was more concerning was the fact that there was also the cold kiss of metal against my wrists and ankles. Of course, I dared not to move. Scared that I was going to stir the beast that was possibly within the next room. The smells around me were no doubt Dragmyr’s apartment. Newly furnished, by the looks of things. He had added a couple of newer pieces. I could pick out the sharper scent of a fire roasting away in it’s stone. A roaring fireplace crackling embers in it’s mouth. We were not in Kugane anymore. He fucking dragged me from that city back into Ul'dah. Despite my obvious protests of clear BETRAYAL. Why does he want to keep me here …why. My thoughts couldn’t last long before I was being dragged back underneath my weakened consciousness. Loss of blood, water, and food will do that to you.

The second time I awoke was due to pain. Someone picking around in my body – that damned gunshot wound. Of course the first thing I could do was jerk in shock against my binds; my cries were muffled. Had he stuffed something in my mouth? Around it? There was the feeling of cloth on my tongue. And a tighter constriction against my head. Glancing down I noted the way his fingers were digging around in their search. Right near where that fucking bullet had lodged itself. Of course I squirmed. The pain was unlike anything I had felt before being lodged as deep as that little fucker was. What else could I do? Glaring at the bastard wasn’t going to help my plight either. Nor was it going to convince him to release me. It was at this second where it started to sink in. What exactly? The fact that I might be trapped here for a very long time. Where was Dim in all of this? Did she not know what was happening? Strangely enough my wounds were bandaged and taken care of. My heart looked at, tinkered with. I never did like people knowing about that little flaw with me. My core reactor and it’s …weak-nature. Yet due to the pain and how exhausted I was I found myself weakening again. Passed straight the fuck out.

I’ve lost count to how many times i’ve gained consciousness and lost it. He tries to feed me; I don’t want any of his fucking food. Never thought I’d hate the smell of porridge. Honey. Some other shit in those attempted mixtures. I’m going insane not being able to move much. With only the sounds of HIM and the sight of the ceiling above me. How much longer I’ll be here is a good question. I get feverish at times. But that isn’t my main concern …I can’t write my thoughts. I left half of my shit back in Kugane. My business is failing. I’m back in the city where I could end up going to rot in jail for the rest of my life…

The list goes on and on. Honestly ….

Only thing I can do right now is plan a escape. Try and speak with him? Hard, given the way he’s been acting and the way I keep drifting. Think the water and food gets drugged. Who the fuck knows anymore. So for now waiting is the only option …dealing with sore wrists. Cannot say how many times I’ve wanted to jerk away the bed posts. My wrist is rubbed raw, my ankles.

Fuck. FUCK. Fuck.

Too little too late

She'd delayed long enough.

Her rapscallions hadn't found out much, only that there was a rumor that the kitten had been harassed by a particular officer that others spoke of with a hint of fear. They heard nothing on any arrest warrants which puzzled Dim.

It bothered her.

In her gut, she could sense there was something more to this story, but forced herself to set it aside for the sake of reuniting Dragmyr with his kitten. It was with that thought in mind that she headed to their shared room and pushed open the door," Drag we need to ta-" Those words were abruptly cut off as she immediately noted the lack of a few things. Had he gone on another rampage to help calm himself? Frowning, she headed for the window and sighed as she looked out over the serenity garden just below.  She'd simply have to wait for him....

              Day Three. 

                                   Still no Dragmyr. 

                                                              Had he gotten himself killed? 

                                  Caught?

Where was he?

Sure, she'd been avoiding him so that she could think out her next move all while waiting on pertinent information. That and the fact she saw Inkk getting cozy with that other Au'ra, but it wasn't like him to just vanish. When the link pearl went off, she about jumped out of her skin and fumbled out of her chair. His words should have brought a smile to her face but they only made her blood run cold.

He didn't know.

He didn't know what she knew and he was going to hurt Inkk'ra over it. He was going to punish his kitten and it was going to be her fault for not telling him sooner. But that wasn't how she worked. She never spoke about something until she had all the details. She -still- didn't have all the details.

Journal Entry #2 Back in Eorzea

Finally! All that waiting, all those painful nights filled with nightmares abound to agonizing long days within that cesspool of a city called Kugane, I had -found- him. Yes, HIM: Inkk’ra. Long into my search within that wretched city did I stumble against his form, soaking into the rain that fell from the sky. He looked as he did when I first met him, minus him perch like a cat ready to strike. To my own shock, he seemed as well unaware I was -here-, giving me such emotions that boiled over. Such rejoice…Such…Pure fury that came with it. No sooner did I confirmed it was him, given he even -spoke- to himself, I took to action from afar, silently creeping up onto his form. So easily was my silence stilled, given to the downpour of water droplets around him. All the more to hide my steps AND scent from his pesky nose and ears. Oh, such cleverness in my footing, such a useful temptation to use the weather as my guide. Ah–But before he could be aware I was there, I trapped him, coiling my augmented limb around his throat and withdrew my pistol into his side. Such words…I couldn’t stop myself. Long how I wanted to feel him close again to me, to be just -there- beside and more. But as I gripped my lost kitten into my ‘loving’ embrace, he spoke. Such betrayal of such a tender moment we were having.

Within our ‘conversation’, I, without thinking, fired my experiment bullet into his side to render him unable to fight back, shocking his insides and beyond. I guess in some ways he was used as a test subject for that, cause I never fired that type before. Possibly I should pay him for his contribution to my cause…Hm…Ironic and sad all at the same time–Anyway, I am getting ahead of myself. With such a jolt running along the other’s form, he near instantly collapse within my arms and embrace. However not after he gotten in the last words. Such ill-tempered words, flowing from those blood-soaked lips of his. What a moment, Betrayed? I had betrayed him? Sure, I am not the 'kindest’ of businessmen, as I do tend to lure such innocence into my grasp to twist and bend for my enjoyment…But him? Such bafflement spread along my face like wildfire, confused and unknowingly fell for such a reunion. Without a though over such things, as well as before the law found out there was a shooting, I quickly gathered my wayward kitten into my arm, walking, or rather limping, back to the boat to make it back to Eorzea once more.

The possibly of having my kitten back under my clutch may had factored in some of my slight judgement at the time. Forgetting nearly my business partner was still within Kugane. Well that was a whoops, but one I can correct ever so easily too. As I approached my home within Eorzea,  I messaged Dimue on your linkpearl, informing her I was no longer within Kugane. More so, I was back in Eorzea–However in my message I never informed her -why-. If she were to find out I found Inkk'ra, would she try and stop me? Would she bust down my doors and rescue him from what I am going to do? She does not understand, my kitten needs -punishment-. He cause enough drama among my aching heart and soul, I need to correct this. She will -have- to understand…She will.

Either way, with the message sent I went into my newly remade apartment. Yes, remade.Due to the explosion from the prior unfolding events, I remodeled it, even got a new jar for my ‘collection’. Even got rid of that annoying bathtub I had. Still, I was here now and with my prize. As I entered I immediately When I toward my newly made bed, tossing the frustrating yet still unconscious miqo'te along it’s sheets and folds. Such softness did those sheets feel, such as well was Inkk’ra’s new -prison-. If one ask you say? All for the sake of sanity as one would call this. -My- sanity. Without remorse I -did- begin to chain my once lost kitten to the post along the bed, having those handcuffs it pre-done before hand knowing at one point it would come to this. Was I paranoid to do this, one wonders. Answer is, yes. This is something I wish never to happen again. And if I must, I will -force- it. Nevertheless, with my now secured mate 'bonded’ to my bed, I began to remove the clothing I wore. Hinting it smelled of copper from the blood the other was oozing out–Or well, was from before.

 I gave off a sneer before going toward my showers, turning on the hot water…There and then did my roaming thoughts began to surface. All over how my lover hinting I 'betrayed’ him, such hostility. All thoughts doubts and worries now lingered along the base of my skull, pounding to escape. When did I ever -betray- him? Even still, was he -escaping- me then from his mishap travels to Kugane? -ME-? Such thoughts rammed over and over into my head, causing me to nearly slam my own head into the surface of one of my newly made walls. Calm down…Calm down, I kept telling myself. I can always ask in the morning. For now, before he hopefully doesn’t wake, I need to remove the bullet from his insides and seal the wound more proper. Questions…They will come soon. And I want answers.
