Listening to her talk, Jay took a sip of his wine. He had to agree with her through. Mostly females only wanted him because of his body. They never really took the time out to get to know him as a man. That was what attracted him to Jayde. She wasn’t the groupie type who ogled at his body. She was more chilled and sophisticated. More worldly than hot girl.

“I understand and no offense. I like a woman who speaks her mind. Thank you. A good friend actually put me on to this restaurant.” 

He smiled. Their waiter came over and took their order. Jay ordered a steak, medium well with some sauteed asparagus and a loaded baked potato. He then waited for her to order. As soon as the waiter left, Jay jumped right back into their conversation.

“I actually adores children and wouldn’t mind settling down. A lot of people think I’m some anti-marriage guy who will never settle down to have a few of my own. But that is far from the truth. I do plan on getting married and having children of my own. Well, once i find that special woman.”

He winked at her.

Jay was very social and she wasn't dating for marriage, but just for fun until it was time for that. Her car pulled up to the restaurant, and she got out and was escorted to the roof for a private dinner.

She smiled when she laid eyes on him.

Jay grinned.

“Thank you. I mean, I do own clothes contrary to popular beliefs.”

He sat down across from her. Looking over at the waiter, he signaled for him to bring them 2 glasses of their finest champagne. When he went out, he normally went big. Nothing was too expensive for him. He then turned his attention back to Jayde.

“I mean to be honest, I didn’t think you would come. But I’m glad you did.”

He nodded slightly just as the waiter brought over 2 glasses and a bottle. He then proceeded to pour them each a glass before handing them to them. Jay took his and held it up a bit to hers.

“To the start of something beautiful and refreshing.”

Jay been had his eyes on Ms. Jayde ever since her divorce. But he never really stepped to her until now. Call it what you want but Jay never liked to over step his boundaries especially with the ladies. It just wasn’t in his blood. 

But when she finally gave in and opened the door for possibilities, of course he was going to take her up for it. He loved living life and didn’t mind if he had someone to enjoy it at this point in his life.

He reserved a table at the most exclusive restaurant in Vegas. Yeah, it was on the strip. But to even get in, one had to be fully decked out in suit and tie. No half stepping. It was like attending an awards show.

He was nervous. But the glass of wine he had consumed when he first arrived helped calm him down a bit. Standing up when he saw the beauty walked in, he was glad she chose to come. 

“Thank you. Nothing but the best for you, my queen.”

He moved to give her a quick hug before going to pull out her seat. Jay was a southern gentleman, being born and raised in Houston. 

“You look breathtaking as usual.”

He smiled.

Jay was in the studio as usual, doing what he does best. Sitting at the mixer, him and his engineer friend went back and forth over a certain melody they was currently working on. He wanted the sound to be more soul but it kept coming out the opposite.

Just when he felt he had the right tune, he heard the door open and close. Looking up, he noticed Louie. Standing up, he grinned.

“What’s up, my dude. Nice to finally meet the man of the hour.”

He extended his hand out to shake Louie’s.

It had got back to Louie that a hungry artist wanted his attention. For an independent artist he was impressive. He decided to pop up on him at the studio. Just to catch him in his zone. Music was blaring as he walked in. He nodded his head in acknowledgement.
