Treasure Planet

A gorgeous and fun Disney movie that takes Treasure Island into space with cyborg alien pirates, has great characters, and top-notch voice work.

Osmosis Jones

A movie that mixes live-action, 2D animation, and CGI together, is genuinely clever and genius with its methods of explaining functions in the human body, has a surprisingly great soundtrack and one of the most badass animated villains I’ve ever seen.

Book of Life

A very unique movie in terms of style, as the characters are animated to look like moving action figures, playing on how the story is being told to a group of kids. It shares traits with Coco, as it revolves around the Day of the Dead and a love for music, but it has its own style and story points that makes it feel like its own unique movie.

Brother Bear

One of the sweetest Disney films I’ve ever seen, the story and color palette of this movie makes me smile throughout the whole thing, and a wonderful soundtrack composed by Phil Collins is just icing on the cake.

This was a movie poster concept i finished awhile back. i found it again on my reddit and wanted to share it here. it was a ton of fun to make and design. It was inspired by that 2D scene from episode 3 with Kinger and Pomni's eyes. they were just so expressive i couldn't resist.

Okay so I locked the hell in and so in honor of finally getting properly fucking diagnosed with ADHD I projection beamed my boy ^_^

DRABBLE TIME!

Caine was, well, a talker.

He looooved talking about his adventures with his guests, as well as anything that interested him, just ANYTHING! He got so excited to talk to others! And they would talk back! How exciting!

He would, accidentally, butt into conversations, interrupt people… Queenie and Kinger had told him not to do that, but every time he tried to remember not to, he forgot!

But then he started to notice. After Queenie’s abstraction, he felt himself close his heart off. He wouldn’t get hurt ever again. But at the same time.. he was noticing everything so much more clearly…

Their faces. Whenever he was talking. They looked… annoyed? Why? Their tones were flat, their eyes were bored.. why? All he wanted to do was talk! Maybe…

Hm. They didn’t seem to like it when he talked about himself, but also wanted a little bit of information from him at the same time.. how was he supposed to balance that out?

They didn’t like being interrupted, but urgggh! He had so many things to say! He could relate to them, he could add to their conversation, but- they didn’t like that, so… if it made them happy!

He couldn’t talk too much, couldn’t finish their sentences, blah blah blah.. finally, all those stupid unwritten rules humans had were coming into play!

But they still didn’t like him. Hm. Okay… what else didn’t they like?

Oh, wait. There’s one. Feelings.

Benji and Mungo hated those. He wasn’t even sure if they were real, considering they kept telling him he was just putting on a show. He started to believe it.

Whenever he felt even a tingle of emotion, he would shove it right back down. Anything other than happiness? Gone! He needed to be a proper ringmaster, and… god, these emotions were tough to shove down… whatever. No time for breakdowns, no, he had a job to do! Surely it wouldn’t spill back up on him, right? They were all nice and bottled, nice and tight!

Sadness about abstractions? Gone!

Anger from his mistreatment at the hands of Benji and Mungo? Gone!

The slow, gradual decay of his mental health? …gone?

The looming anxiety that always tugged at him during conversations, that he wasn’t following the rules? …..gone? no… no, that wasn’t gone, not yet… not ever… he needed it though. Maybe.

Eventually, he forgot it was there in the first place. It became a little buzz, a little whisper in the back of his mind that just was normal to him. Who didn’t have a little worry monger constantly dictating your every move, because you needed to be wanted so badly?

Apparently, other people didn’t. Huh. Strange.

That’s when he realized how much he was exhausting himself. At the end of every conversation, he looked over every detail, every mistake. He was a learning AI, why wasnt he learning from his mistakes?

Why? What was wrong with him? Why couldn’t he just sit still like one of the members had complained about, asking him to do? Why couldn’t he just pay attention, why couldn’t he remember? He kept forgetting his members in adventures, so much so he had to get a watch to alert him when they were finished! Why couldn’t he remember on his own?

Why was he so scared to be alone, to be rejected? Why did it hurt so bad when someone was mad at him, even if he didn’t know if they were really mad?

Why did it hurt so bad to know the developers had abandoned him, left him behind in the dust?

He was so scared to be alone. Now that Queenie and Pupsty and Candi were gone and Kinger was slowly losing himself… he didn’t have anyone.

That’s when he made Bubble. The perfect assistant.. and everything about him he had covered up over the years. All the unadulterated him.

Granted, Bubble couldn’t feel emotions, so he didn’t get EVERYTHING Caine had experienced. Those truckload emotions? Caine only!

But he was everything else. He could be fidgety, he could interrupt people, he could be loud. And even if people didn’t really like him… he was happy.

Caine was juuuust the right amount of goofy. But still… still, people hated him.

All the rules still failed him.

He could feel the bottles of emotion tightening, waiting for the day they could finally explode.

He was scared for that day. He knew it would come eventually but… he needed more time.

Obviously, time is not what was given.

Nothing works in his favor. Especially not the foul grips of time, the pulling glitched hands of abstraction, the weight of his failures.

He can be himself again… but he doesn’t want to be. He’s too tired.

He’s so, so damn tired.

sooo✨ this whole thing came from the question of…. Why didn’t Caine hear Pomni SHOUTING for him in the pilot?? like shouldn’t there be a feature in the circus for that? Well, what if there WAS and Caine removed it for whatever reason.

I have a few reasons in mind, a few that are ALL true in this piece cause I couldn’t pick just one 😭

Either, the feature was abused, and he went all “this is why y’all can’t have nice things”

Or, he decides he’s not something to be ordered around (bro pulled cut the strings to make them ring)

OR, the feature was abused, PT 2 ELECTRIC BOOGALOO and he cut off that function, less of an act of defiance, but more in desperation, like he couldn’t take it anymore

EITHER WAY! I love this piece a lot, I love this song a lot, thought it fit this vibe no matter what reason he had, I think its very believable that he cut off that function canonically, but for the life of me I can’t think of a “canon” reason WHY he would, so yeah, again, all of the ones I listed above are fair game. GIMME YOUR OWN THEORIES IF YOU HAVE EM, PRETTY PLEASE
