“NOTHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN to me,” the blonde tried to reassure the male with a bright smile. Her mood had been lifted, especially given his reaction to what he had witnessed. No longer as defensive, she was back to her usual, somewhat bubbly self.
“Trust me, I’d know. I’ve been doing this for - “ oops, that was a secret that she wasn’t about to disclose to anyone. Luckily she caught herself just in time. “Anyway,” she cleared her throat, widening her smile in hopes that it would distract him from what she was about to say. “Like I said, I’ll be fine.”
“If you say so,” he said, narrowing his eyes just a little bit at her but smiling slightly. He wouldn’t push it. Really, it wasn’t any of his business what she decided to do to herself. As long as he didn’t become responsible for her, that’s what mattered to him.
“Well, now that we’re here, it’s only proper for me to ask if I can at least give you some company or something. Like, do you want a drink or something?” he asked her, shrugging. He sighed a little bit. “Oh, and I’m Jasper.” He held out a hand towards her.

&&.
HER QUICKENING HEARTBEAT began to slowed, having seen his reaction. It was the last thing she expected - she thought that he was going to snatch it out of her hands, and she was going to have to fight him to retrieve what was rightfully hers.
“It’s Aspirin,” a cheeky grin, before she closed her eyes and tilted her head back - one deep breath after the other before she would meet his gaze once more.
“Why do you need to know what it is, what is it to ya?” Paisley has always had difficulties trusting other people, and this was a prime example of it.
“Oh, you’re a sassy one, aren’t you?” Jasper smirked, shaking his head. But, he had to admit to himself, he liked a little bit of sass. It made things interesting, after all.
“I don’t need to know what it is,” he said, shrugging. “I would like to know, in case something bad happens, though. I mean, I saw you take them, so now I feel a bit responsible for you. That’s all.”
He wasn’t always the most caring of men, but he also didn’t want to see someone hurt themselves, inadvertently or not.

PLOT: Your muse catches Paisley downing a couple more pills than she should- you’ve noticed this habit of hers and questions how she would be able to do her job properly if she wasn’t sober.
“WHAT EXACTLY ARE YOU ACCUSING ME OF?”
Paisley’s tone was defensive, aggressive … she honestly thought that she was all alone. She’s gotten away with it for years, but everyone around her seemed to have picked up on her new (old) habit.
“You don’t know anything - don’t even pretend like you do. Or care.”
“Hey, I’m not accusing you of anything.”
Jasper did his best to not smirk at his retort, shaking his head. Did she really think he hadn’t noticed? He wasn’t one to judge. He’d been known to indulge every now and again, himself. But, that didn’t meant he enjoyed seeing someone doing this to themselves.
“Just don’t lie to me, and say it’s Aspirin,” he said. “I wasn’t born yesterday.”

Short Bio
Jasper is a 31 year old mechanic. His mother was a professor at Harvard University, and his father is a businessman for the elite. Jasper has two younger sisters, but he is the oldest and the only boy. He had the pedigree and opportunity to be someone great, but he wanted to do his own thing. So, rather than going to University, like his parents wanted, he decided to strike out on his own right after high school. He worked odd jobs, in order to pay for his own schooling at one of the local trade schools in the Massachusetts area. After school, he decided to move away from the family, and ended up in California, where he found a job as a mechanic.
