update 2: on the way home! Have 2 hours to keep my waters. I should be fine, right?

I split my boba (little thing btw) between my friend, then my family bought some soda and I was given a cup of that. It was also small, about 8-10 oz, but they gave it to me without a lid so I chugged the whole thing down to not have to worry about spilling. I'll admit that I was getting really nervous, feeling that cold drink fill my stomach, but I forgot it soon enough. The only other thing I can think of is that I had a few mouthfuls of water at a water fountain.

Speaking of, at one point we passed a fountain that had a stream so hard that it was shooting up into the air, splattering all over a rock and sprinkling over the edge onto the ground. And when I saw it . . . genuinely couldn't tell whether I had to pee or was getting excited over the imagery XD

now I'm sitting here with my 40 oz water bottle less than a third empty and scolding myself every time I take a mindless sip, since I won't be sweating out the liquid anymore. Especially with the tide rising, I'm at a 5/10. Not too much urgency but my bladder feels heavy and a little achy. But I'm fine! I'll be fine! Just gotta ignore how thirsty my mouth is and stop drinking water for a little while. Haha. Yeah!
