- Juno hated when he did this so he was hesitant to talk about his interests at the Maitland/Deetz household at first— Lydia would encourage him bc she genuinely wanted to hear bug facts— now Bj rambles about bugs w/o hesitation

- Lydia & Bj go bug hunting often— she’ll photograph some bugs while he shares facts

- Bj try’s bringing bugs inside the house a lot (Charles hates this and makes him put them back)

I think his favorite beetles would be the ten-lined June beetle and the Colorado potato beetle(yes bc of the stripes) !!!

THEY SHOULD HAVE KEPT “Mama Would” AND ���Children we didn’t have” BOTH SONGS WERE SO GOOD

So, we’ve all seen this photo… but I want to have some discussion on it because I am genuinely curious to see how some of y’all think.

During the National Theatre (DC) run, there are a lot of changes. Music, scenes, lines and entire costumes were changed to make the show more palatable. None more so, than what Alex had to do.

Alex used to apply teeth paint, which temporarily changed his teeth and mouth colour. It was used to make him look more dead and was later scrapped due to criticism(?). Apparently it creeped a lot of people out and it kind of impacted their audience in a somewhat negative light. It disgusted them too but in my opinion, I enjoy it cause it captures the illusion of Rigor Mortis but I definitely see the disgust.

Also Lydia’s hair used to be blonde. A complete 180 from her movie counterpart, it made her more identifiable in a musical with a somewhat taboo theme, it then shifted to a long black wig and then it became the short black bob we see on Broadway and internationally.

Do y’all think that some cut content should have stayed? I definitely think the painted teeth should have been there but applied minimally, not too much that people will be grossed out by.

Also yknow how tourjuice doesn't have (as much of a) mood ring hair like broadwayjuice? I like the headcanon that tourjuice has more control of his hair and is able to conceal his emotions a little better, but sometimes like during "the whole being dead thing" part 4 he gets so angry his hair gets a little red (thanks to the stagelights though lol)

Same thing happens during the Life of Death game show, and while he has a smile, his hair flares with red every so often

My last moments with Lydia captured by @/kairavelson the day before closing.

This character has given me everything to dive into. Grief, cleverness, joy, sadness, hope. She is so unapologetically herself, and I think she’s helped me feel the same in my own skin. Getting to play a young woman trying to navigate loss and life has been a gift.

This show has taught me so much about discipline, passion, love, and what it takes to carry something this massive. I’ve learned more than I can articulate.

Also…I’ve never laughed harder.
