A SHORT ARTICLE ABOUT THE NEW SOCIETY

(paragraph)

On September 21, 1972, the period of the new society began. Annual prizes were continued to be awarded by the Carlos Palanca Awards. The Green Revolution, family planning, healthy nutrition, the environment, drug abuse and pollution are almost all aspects of development or progress in this country which have been addressed at a significant number of articles. Pornography or writings that affect people's morals, the new society is trying to stop. The schools' newspapers were temporarily shut down, as was the Association of School Organisations. A new Department of Public Affairs, which took charge of newspapers, books and magazines, has been set up by the military government. Old plays such as the Cenaculo, Zarzuela or Embayoka of Muslims have been revived by the government. In order to make room for these plays, the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the Folk Arts Theatre and even the old Metropolitan Theater have been rebuilt. New incentives have been given to the singing of Filipino and English songs. Many of the Philippines' songs were supported by those sent overseas. A lot of progress was made in the field of literature thanks to weekly publications like KISLAP and LIWAYWAY. It was the place where our writers were allowed to publish many of their works.

ARTICLE ABOUT POST EDSA REVOLUTION CONTRIBUTION IN THE PHILIPPINE LITERATURE

In the Philippines, most notably in Manila, EDSA Revolution was a series of major public demonstrations. Against regime violence and electoral fraud, there was an ongoing campaign of Civil Resistance. The nonviolent revolution, which ended Fedinand Marcos's 20 year term as president and restored democracy in the Philippines, led to his departure. The beginning of a new era in contemporary Philippine literature was marked by the year 1986. When President Marcos imposed martial law on the Philippines, it not only suppressed the right of writers to freedom of expression, but also created conditions conducive to collaboration and cooperation that made it easy for artists struggling for recognition and survival. Writing under the Martial law Regime was characterized militancy and belligerence , even when itshowed up in the legal press. In particular, following the assassination of Ninoy Aquino in 1983;
