MY LEARNINGS IN THE LECTURE SERIES❤
The Department of Information and Communications Technology is the executive department of the Philippine government responsible for the planning, development and promotion of the country's information and communications technology agenda in support of the national ICT development agenda. The DICT Startup Grand Fund (SGF) is an equity-free fund program amounting to Php 1,000,000.00 for digital startups and aims to facilitate collaboration and partnerships among key players in the startup ecosystem especially to groom or train startups to get better access to further funding and become more investor-ready. Based in a Chief, Technology Transfer Unit in CMU-IPTBM Office Dr. Gamaleila A. Dumancas, intensive and time-limited business support for a cohort of digital startups, aiming to get them ready for investments than traditional incubators.
I've also learned that technology transfer is a term used to describe a formal transfer of rights to use new discoveries and innovations resulting from scientific research to another party. Business incubators have two types, industry specific and academic incubators. Many companies have established their own incubators and accelerator programs, providing startups with access to funding, mentorship, and other resources. A startup is a business idea that is addressed to solve societal problems. It is a company working to solve a problem where the solution is not obvious, and success is not guaranteed.

MY LEARNINGS IN DOING THINGS THAT DON'T SCALE❤
Startup success is not a consequence of good genes or being in the right place at the right time. Success can be engineered by following the right process, which means it can be taught. I've learned in this lesson about how the delivery process, drivers dispatching, and customer support works. They interact with real customers and learn about their needs, and also asking how did their customers knew about them. Even though people are manually reading PDF menus from the site then call, orders still keep coming. Doordash company started with the founder's passion on how to build technology for small business owners. Talking to more customers brought out their common pain points, the delivery of their products to their customers and the delivery infrastructure can't be built overnight.
A minimum viable product (MVP) is the smallest feature set that gives the most learnings, feedbacks, failures, and orders. It is not a prototype and not a deployable version with the fewest features. Minimum viable product have 6 benefits and these are the Emphasis on Key Development, App Insights and Feedback Collection, Early Testing, Less Costly, Quick Development of Application, and the Market Validation. Minimum does not mean less difficult, in fact, an MVP requires more work because you need to be ready to measure its impact. The product is not perfect and lack many features, but the goal of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) is to focus on the riskiest assumptions and begin the learning process. Nick Swinmurn is the founder of Zappos.com that pain point no central online site with great selection of shoes and it takes time to build his vision complete with warehouses and distribution partners. To summarize my learnings, intellectual honesty is a trait characterized by an unbiased, honest attitude that seeks to obtain facts in their true form.

MY LEARNINGS IN OPPORTUNITY, RECOGNITION, AND IDEATION❤
"If someone offers you an amazing opportunity and you're not sure you can do it, say yes - then learn how to do it later". A saying by Richard Branson that gives us motivation to try many things really help me in motivating myself. Opportunity was defined a favorable set of circumstances that creates a need for a new product, service, or business. I've learned that there are three ways to identify an opportunity. First, observing trends that create opportunities for entrepreneurs to pursue. Observing trends have 4 changes and forces which are the economic forces, social forces, technological advances, and the political action and regulatory changes. Second, solving a problem sometimes identifying opportunities simply involves noticing a problem and finding a way to solve it. And lastly, finding gaps in the marketplace is often created when a product or service is needed by a specific group of people but doesn't represent a large enough market to be of interest to mainstream retailers or manufacturers.
I've also learned that entrepreneurs have personal characteristics and these are the Prior Experience, Cognitive Factors, Social Networks, and the Creativity. There are also techniques for generating ideas. Brainstorming is a technique used to generate a large number of ideas and solutions to problems quickly. Focus groups are used for a variety of purposes, they can be used to help generate new business ideas. Library research are an often underutilized source of information for generating new business ideas. And lastly, targeted searches are also useful. I will conclude my learnings by the quote of Lori Greiner "Entrepreneurs are willing to work 80 hours a week to avoid working 40 hours a week".
