"The forest. Underneath a yew tree." the druid replied. Not that the other woman would care, why would she, she had other things to worry about. But Coatlicue had gotten used to being precise over the years because you kind of had to be to find each other in a vast expanse of a jungle.
"I need you to stay awake, Karlach." Her voice was urgent. As much as it probably pained the tiefling to be conscious, her falling into unconsciousness would present a whole bunch of problems the duskstalker would like to avoid.
"I will use another spell on you, but we need to go to somewhere, where I can take better care of your injuries." As she talked, she looked over the others body, trying to get an idea of what she would have to be dealing with. Magic helped, sure, but in this case, natural remedies and some other fixtures would certainly be required.
Rp prompt (11/20/23) (ooc hello i hope u are all feeling some angst today)
Everyone was worried, it was two days since Karlach went missing.
They searched far and wide, from the edges of camp, to the depths of the woods.
Karlach never disappeared for more than a few hours, and even if she did, she always came back by nighttime. The tension was all over the place, some couldn't rest, other's refused to eat in favor of looking.
Only when the third night was approaching, they were finally able to find her.
She was staggering in the forest, weakly looking around her and right when her eyes finally met with yours, she fell to the ground.

Shifted into her panther form, the druid stalked about in the deep shadows. The cats eyes spotted the glint of the tieflings flaming chest in the woods, and quickly closed distance.
Running up to her, the cat dropped her form in favor of a humanoid apperance and her hand immediately started to glow in a soft blue-ish green, as a healing energy collected in her palm.
She fell down on her knees next to the other woman and placed her hand on Karlachs shoulder as the cooling gentle feeling of a healing spell ran through the Hellions body.

𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫
As you open your eyes, you find yourself by the side of the river, surrounded by trees. The fresh darkness of dusk hangs between the canopy above your head, the soft glow of an orange setting sun illuminates your field of vision. The soft running of water a few feet away caresses your ears.
You don't really remember what happened. A bunch of wolves, the growl of a dark shadow, and then...nothing. Are you dead? The thought leaves you much calmer in this moment then it probably should. But no, you're not dead. Death does not hurt like that. Cause you are hurting, not really in pain, but the numb throbbing in your lower arm tells of a wound in your flesh.
As you turn your head to examine it, a soft voice catches your attention.
"Don't move so much, you'll hurt yourself even more."
You turn your head into the other direction, finding yourself facing a woman. Her skin in tan and dark, frilly hair reaches down to her shoulders, as she measures you with amber-colored eyes. The bonfire between the two of you illuminates her face, and you are surprised to see markings on her face you previously thought to be simply the shadow of the dancing flames.
A trail of spots over her cheekbones and her face around the eyes, leaving a triangle shape on her nose to stand out. With the way her eyes glint, you were almost certain to see a feline feature in her expression, but you blame it on your dizzy brain.
"You got quite hurt. I fixed you up as well as I could, but your wound will need time to heal."
Her voice is rich and slightly deeper than you would expect from a person of her physique, and there is a certain edge to it, leaving you to wonder if she is concerned about your state or not.
She turns her head aside, and you notice another feature of her face, previously hidden by her dark-brown head of hair; a pair of sleek, pointy ears. Whoever this woman was, there was elven descent within her one way or the other.
"How...how did you find me?"The question leaves your lips in a croaking manner and you realize your dry throat. Without hesitation, the woman rose from her seat, fetched a waterskin and knelt down beside you.
Helping you to sit and drink, she explains the situation to you.
"I found you when I was out patrolling. You were cornered by some wolves; I assume they were after your rations. I scared them away, but one of them had bitten you previous to my intervention. The wound is deep, but not infected as far as I can tell...still, you need to be given into proper care. But don't worry, I've already sent word to a few friends of mine. They will pick you up in the morning."
You are unsure whether you should be glad to hear this information or not. Sure, this woman seemed kind, but who knows who the people were that she was handing you over to.
You take a moment to study her clothing, now that she is up close, trying to find any indication of a symbol or markings you could identify.
Her clothes are simple; leather armor in a grayish tone with jade-colored accents, a pair of brown bracers, matching the brown pads on her trousers. You are surprised when you discover that she does not wear any shoes.
Apparently she has noticed your uncertainty and the assessment of herself in your eyes, but she simply takes it with a smile.
"Don't worry, I'm not going to kill you. Neither will my friends. We're druids, you see? Protectors of these woods and the creatures within. We wouldn't let you come to harm."
You relax at that statement. Yes, this woman being a druid would explain some things. And you have dealt with druids before, specifically these druids around these parts too. They trade goods from the forest against crafted items in your village. They are good people. You would be fine.
"I have dealt with druids before...but you're new."There is a moment of hesitation within her, as she kneels down beside you, before she gives a nod.
"I'm not from these parts. I'm from much further away, actually; the land your people call Chult."
Chult, now that was a name you had not heard in a long time. Actually you never heard it spoken by anyone, really. As a child, you had read stories set in Chult, about expeditions, great beasts, and endless, mercyless jungles, which were conquered by adventurers. But you had never been there, of course not, and neither had anyone you had ever known. But to see this woman in front of you, the living proof that the stories might be true...it got you excited.
"Is it true? What the stories say?"Your eyes are sparkling with new-found enthusiasm.
"About the beasts and the lizards that can eat a human in one bite?"
She chuckles, amused by your sudden burst of energy.
"It is. I've seen many of them with my own eyes. Towering beasts, giant lizards, plants who lash out against you and try to poison you...it is a rough life. But its home. It was home..."
A shadow falls over her eyes.
"I was taken against my will. Away from my tribe, my aunt, my mother, my friends and family...by these...monsters. Ghaik, the githyanki call them...mindflayers. Grabbed me and put me here into this place...I have met many lovely people, I've been shown kindness and understanding...but home calls for me still. One day I will return. But today is not that day...and neither will be tomorrow. Someone has to watch over you, after all."
She gives a little smile and rises from your side.
"The night is already falling. Rest. I will keep watch."
You are not about to question her on her words. You feel your eyes falling shut much faster then you wish they would. You still have so many questions! But they would have to wait till morning.
As you slide into the darkness of sleep, you wonder briefly what the large shadow was, which you saw in the corner of the eye, as the wolves attacked you. You realized you have forgotten to ask. But your limbs and eyelids are too heavy now and your lips refuse to speak.
Come morning, and you will have questions to all your answers; you are certain.
