These were the fics I read in February 2025. This month, I was once again amazed by this fandom's talent and how stories written years ago can still bring so much joy today.

Could this be some kind of strange coincidence?” “I hate you,” Harry hisses, forcing his eyes back into Nick’s direction, uncaring that the mic must have picked it up. “I thought we agreed that you were going to play fair.” “I’m sure I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Nick denies, except he’s holding up a picture of Louis’ face now, sharp cheekbones prominent, soft lashes nearly sweeping against his cheeks as he looks down, and his fucking mouth – “A hundred and two!” Nick crows, all but clapping his hands together in glee. “The highest it’s ever been!” “To be fair, I did bend over the desk on purpose,” Louis’ voice comes crackling in the headphones. Harry practically breaks his neck whipping his head around at the sound of it, gaping at him through the glass panel. “You can’t really blame him for getting a little excited about that, can you?”

2024 was (yet another) incredibly difficult year, and as usual fics helped get me through! Thank you to all of the fandom content creators who make the most incredible worlds for us to enjoy. Here are some last lines from fics I enjoyed reading during 2024.

When Louis finally lets her go, it feels like a painful farewell.

“As for what it’s called, I was thinking of calling it ‘Will you go out with me?’"

Louis grumbles. Harry grins. Life is good.

Finally, they’re living their dream come true.

Maybe he was never meant to know. And maybe, that was okay.

They have a train to catch.

“Don’t I know it.” He winked.

“I love you too,” Louis whispered. The room was dark around him, pitch black, but Harry was the light pouring out, filling him up. “My sunshine, my baby.”

We want all the new deets on Louis and Harry, but we will have to wait to see what both their next steps are, and hopefully Harry can bring us along for the ride with his amazing photographs!

The moon shines down on them, glistening into the sea. The only people there for the moment being Harry, Louis and the moon.

Louis chuckles despite himself, hurrying after Harry. They really do.

So now, just a month before the 2023 season begins, Harry and Louis walk into McLaren headquarters as teammates and lovers, excited for another season, and the rest of their lives. 

"Love you, Lou." Trailing his fingertips up and down Louis' back, Harry says, "Can't wait to marry you."

Louis laughs and collapses into the wall behind him, feeling lighter than he can ever recall, counting down the seconds until the gig is over and he has his boy back in his arms.

And Harry wouldn’t refuse that request. He was in for a very happy life indeed.
