Being a fan of 1D and F1, my Roman empire is how much both Zouis and Brocedes remind me of each other. We talk a lot about star-crossed lovers but never about star-crossed friends. There is something tragic about the innocent, carefree nature of deep friendships that withers away as time goes by. One minute you are aware of how shallow it has become because of one's own actions and the next thing you know, you are haunted by the apparitions of it. I think that's what makes Brocedes and Zouis similar.

Both the friendships found each other when they were in their teens and parted their ways as adults. They were thick as thieves and were up for anything, they had their own little traditions, had their silly banter, and were inseparable until fate struck aka "they fumbled each other."

For me, Lewis is Louis, and Nico is Zayn (omg, look at the no of letters in their names). Nico left Mercedes after becoming the 2016 champion, and Zayn went on to soar to great heights after he left the band in 2015, while Lewis and Louis stayed. Even though Nico and Zayn had their own reasons, Lewis and Louis felt let down by their best friends, as if they were left in the middle of the ocean, which probably might have left them wondering, "But what about the plans we made?", all of which eventually lead to their forsaken friendship.

At some point in their life, they must have thought of this: "I miss you and I love you, my best friend. I wish you only the best in the world, but I hope I never see your face again because it ain't worth the hurt". For now, I hope they feel "it's feels good to have you back, my friend", without any regrets.

They are just like puzzles, they are meant to fit each other. I wonder if they ever felt they had betrayed their younger selves when their friendship broke up, the same guys who wanted to make their dreams come true with the other standing beside them. But I'm glad to know that they put their past behind them; after all, they are still brothers. You know what makes Zouis and Brocedes the same? They were little kids/best friends who shared the same dream of making it big.
