I was wondering if you had any little things for the characters that people do with their ocs like for example a playlist or a Pinterest board or just in general anything like that?

Oh trust me I have a LOT of stuff for all of my characters. My graphic novel concept AND my arg (Sockjaw National Park in case anyone's interested). I've made little keychains, I've made Pinterest boards, I have playlists. And of course I've commissioned a lot of artists as well!

I am my characters' biggest fan. If you want my Richard playlist, take a gander. It's still a WIP but it's songs that I associate with his story arc.

as I was scrolling through your blog I started getting progressively more and more excited because SO many of your drawings I’ve seen before and loved but I didn’t know they were all by the same person WOAAAAH!!!!!! I mean it makes sense now seeing as they all have your art style (which btw is so awesome I’m gonna explode!!!)

Aw thanks! My style is kinda versatile which is fun, but I do draw a lot of different stuff too! I've also been in a LOT of fandoms and I mean a LOT. So I've been around everywhere for a while. Glad you like my art!!! Thanks again

Hi! I was looking back on Dewey’s lore before the revamp and I was getting curious does Dewey’s family still live on a farm or own one?

Hi there!!! I haven't checked my inbox in a bit so I totally missed this question.

They don't. I'm still in the process of rewriting Dewey's lore (the family stuff anyway) but last I recall I had Mr. Bonifaz working something adjacent. I like the idea of them growing and selling their own vegetables/fruits. Dewey wouldn't be involved much but he'd help out when he could.

I was wondering if you could give us some trivia about the characters or little fun facts and things about them because I love them and I want to know so so MUCH more about them

Fun facts that have no relevance to the plot (or do they?🤔.... they don't)

- Richard is the only one of the main cast that has a Boston accent. It's not noticeable to him or most of his peers because Winsborough isn't too far from Boston, they're just kind of used to it.

- Dewey was born in New Jersey, which is where I'm from. His family moved up to Massachusetts for job opportunities.

- Twigs is an artist, which isn't trivia in itself BUT: His art style, when not indulging in life studies and realism, is inspired by Edo period artwork, especially in color and detail.

- Nathan had curly hair as a baby/young child but eventually grew out of it. It comes from his mother's side.

- If they were around back then, Richard would love fidget spinners.

- Twigs is kind of a goody-two-shoes and once accidentally stole an apple from the grocery store when he was like, 12. He felt so bad he went back and paid for the apple and then vowed to never show his face in the store ever again out of shame.

Hello!

I imagine that he does have a job! Although honestly I'm not sure what jobs would have graveyard shifts in a small town in the 50's? I suppose a gas station. I might have to work on that.

If not a job, I think he spends time up doing calming activities. He kind of really hates the fact that he's constantly groggy, so at night he likes to knit, because it takes his mind off of the fact that it is 2 in the morning and he's still wide awake.

(This one is Richard themed and it has been in my mind for MONTHS btw I love your writing so much it feels like I’m reading a historical biography and I ADORE IT)

I was on your TikTok page and I was reading about Richard’s info but I noticed that when his family members are being listed that Robert has “deceased” right next to his name and I was wondering what exactly happened to him?

So, yeah, in the original story he was dead and I decided to keep it that way. If you ever watched the movie Stand By Me, it's actually moreso inspired by Gordie & his brother (in this case, Richard is Gordie). Robert dies in an accident. I'm keeping the specifics vague and up to interpretation though. (It's for a reason!)

The way Robert's death affects the family is the main point, though. Even though it had happened years prior, the dynamics had shifted and with their family already being quite dysfunctional before it just got worse. For Richard, especially.

Again, thanks! I don't really get to answer questions like these often and I've really enjoyed being able to answer these. It helps me also figure out my own writing as I'm working on the story again.

Okay so you MUST be someone following me for a while because wow I haven't brought those guys up in a hot minute. Unfortunately they don't really have a function in the story anymore so.. they aren't in it. But they still exist and go to Winsborough high school like the others.

Who knows? Maybe they'll show up in the background of one of the comics LOL.

I read on your art fight on Dewey’s part of the page about how the greasers would cause ruckus and I wanted to know what kind of ruckus would they cause was it just mild or more intense also does Dewey ever actually participate in the actions they do or does he just go do something else?

For the most part, they're just mildly rowdy and loud. They like to get a radio and blast rock n' roll on their little corner of the neighborhood. Sometimes, though, some of the more bold greasers participate in races on the weekends and drive very irresponsibly.

Dewey usually likes to stay out of trouble. The good news is, his group isn't much harm. They're more about rejecting the law and having fun. But like I said, sometimes they do risky things. Dewey's smart and stays out of those risky things. He plays it off pretty cool, though.

However, he's not always so careful. He got detention once for bringing the radio to the high school and refusing to turn it off until he could hear the rest of Little Richard's Tutti Frutti.

Question how did Dewey even become apart of a greaser gang did he just say “hey can I join in?” And they just let him in Or did he have to do something to actually be apart of it?

Loveee an oc question. This is a good one!

It wasn't joining that was the challenge. It was earning the other's trust, actually. Like any counterculture, their aim was to be rebels to the rest of the world. Looks was half of (Dewey had to rummage for a leather jacket, ended up being two sizes too big), but the other half was what they talked about, what they wanted to do, etc.

Dewey was not necessarily lost before, but he tried his damn best to impress the others in the group because he wanted to belong to something so badly. They caught on to this desperation too, and made him go through various trials of trust before they finally considered him one of them. One of the trials was racing against another batch of greasers on the weekend, with Dewey HAVING to be the winner. Thankfully, there were only minor injuries from that event, and Dewey won.

So, yeah, I mean he technically joined the gang with ease, but to REALLY really be apart of the gang, it was sort of a process. ESPECIALLY because he is the youngest of them all.
