I'm curious, because I've missed JacKim Week before in the past, and I really wanted to know if you were doing it again this year. I'm worried that you aren't. I have the date opened and loaded, so that I can remember and participate. (I'm a writer though while I don't have a Tumblr, I have a Fanfiction account.) I'm just really hoping that you have it again this year, so that I can participate whether it's only for five days or even seven days.

Honestly, there isn’t really a plan for another JacKim Week. Mod Laura has pretty much entirely left the fandom, and participation was so low that it doesn’t seem worth the effort of trying to get others involved when there clearly isn’t much interest.

However, thank you so much for your enthusiasm!! It’s really great to see that there are still people out there loving JacKim, so maybe if Mod Maq is still interested, we could rustle up a short weekend event later in the year in lieu of a full ship week. If we decide to do it, watch this space for an announcement!

JacKim (Long) Week(end) 2016

Here it is, after a slight delay-- the theme announcement for JacKim Week at last! Rev up your tablets, your pens, your keyboards, because we’re getting ready to celebrate our favorite duo in style!

If you’re having trouble reading the calendar, the themes for each day are as follows:

As always, any content is welcome and encouraged, whether it be fic, art, AMVs, cosplay, a dramatic poetry reading... you name it, we want to see your creativity! We request that any NSFW or common triggers be marked or tagged accordingly, and placed under a cut if posted on Tumblr. Since participation has been low in the past, we’ll be doing something different this year: JacKim Week 2016 will last only 5 days, more of a JacKim Long Weekend than a full week, if you will. The event will run from Friday, November 4th through Tuesday, November 8th. As always, JacKim Week is a celebration of our love for our favorite spooky duo, and all content creators are welcome to contribute work of any kind for any or all days (though it should go without saying that plagiarism and reposting are unacceptable).

Before we can get the event off the ground with the event, though, we need your help to choose themes! We will be accepting theme suggestions by ask or submit from now until Saturday, August 20th, after which we’ll have a voting round or two to narrow our prompts down to the final five! We will keep all theme submissions unpublished and anonymous, and we encourage you to send as many as you want. But hurry, the clock is ticking– after Saturday, we won’t accept any more themes!

Even if you don’t have any theme ideas you’d like to submit, you can help out by signal boosting this post to help get the word out.
