I swear I'm not making this up, it scared me so bad that I stopped reading the wiki until they moved to their new site on wikidot

I used to read the wiki exclusively by hitting "random" and reading whichever scp popped up, once an scp with a creepy image of what looked like a zombified baby popped up, it scared me so much that i quickly hit "random" again to get another scp but the same one popped up again

my immediate thought was "okay nice Easter egg assholes, i know how cookies work" then i opened a private browser page and went to the wiki again and AGAIN THE BABY

at this point i was pissed because I thought it was some advanced easter egg that worked by saving your ip address so after that I stopped reading the scp wiki

did this happen to anyone else or did I get an event with 1 in ~4000 probability

also, i promise if I were making this up it would be more interesting than just a creepy baby image

So… I got a notification from the State Department at like 8 PM Pacific that my passport was approved, and I was quietly thankful and stunned bc my legal gender in Oregon is listed as X, or undeclared, and that's what's on my passport. I'm pretty sure someone(s) worked late to get the X passports done today.

I was already really grateful to whoever in the Seattle Passport Office worked late to get these things processed on the last Friday before That Man gets back into office... and then I got a notification that my passport shipped at fucking midnight Pacific and whoever got that shit out the door so it couldn't be picked up on Monday and like, denied and shredded?

They're my fucking hero.

people have invented so many different ways of rephrasing "don't transition" to sound plausibly progressive enough to bystanders that they'll think trans people are over-dramatic for reacting negatively to it.

medical transition is permanent so you should really consider it thoroughly and put off trying it unless you know for sure. yes, just keep second guessing yourself. 6 months, 3 years, 20 years...

you might not like how you look. other people might not like how you look. you might not look cis. don't you want to be desirable? do you want to risk feeling worse and more insecure? you look so good now! we think you're so hot right now, and you wouldn't want to change your body and make it not hot to us, right?

you are so valid if you don't transition. you don't need to transition. no one needs to transition. it's just cosmetic, it's just aesthetic, it's all optional and means nothing at all. (no, of course this is unrelated to arguments used for insurance not covering transition, or doctors denying care.)

why do you even want to transition? are you trying to look cis? are you trying to adhere to beauty standards? are you doing this to look hot? that's regressive and outdated and assimilationist. (if you want us to take your politics seriously, you shouldn't transition)

it's a waste of resources/privileged/bourgeois to transition. it's kind of morally suspect that you would transition and still ask for help ever in your life. why should we support someone who's transitioning if they're obviously not oppressed anyway.

DIY HRT is too dangerous. you could hurt your body. you could get arrested. your life will probably end if you take HRT. if you can't access HRT legally, you just shouldn't take it. not for transphobic reasons!! just for your own sake <3

i think at this point any tme person who insists on proclaiming that transandrophobia is "real", that mainstream anti-trans political work isn't fundamentally based in transmisogyny first and transphobia second, that TWERFs and other extremists "hate us all equally" - there's really no excuse of ignorance left anymore. you're truly and unequivocally chosing to ignore the reality of the situation to step over trans women for your own self centeredness (at best). we need to seriously work on shaming these people as much as possible the same way we shame transphobic cisgays throwing all of us under the bus.
