What would you feel if you meet someone unexpectedly? Someone whose interests are almost the same as yours. Someone who has been planning life and has established his goals. Someone very interesting. Someone you can listen to the entire day. But, someone who's too good to be true. Am I overthinking right now?

This kind of moment makes you realize that God has been busy creating beautiful scenery.

I met him in Cebu 5 years ago during our review for the Engineering Licensure exam. For 4 months, we were staying at the same pension house. But during those times, I barely talked to him and as cautious as I can be, I tried to keep aloof from strangers. After the review and eventually passing the board exam, we never had any communication.

Last year, he added me in facebook that’s when I learned that we shared the same interest in mountaineering. So from then on, we would inform each other for the upcoming events. We even exchanged numbers but unfortunately we never had the chance to meet in the mountains. On Christmas Day of the same year, unexpectedly, he sent us this planner. I am very thankful and really appreciated his gesture.

Earlier this year though, he visited Albay and surprised me with some flowers and chocolates just a day before Valentine’s Day. Basically, that’s the only time we personally meet after 5 years. I was caught by surprise when he expressed his romantic intention. I was not ready to invest emotions to anyone then and I see him only as a friend.

We had this 2-day adventure on the Southern part of Cebu last July2016. Part of our itinerary was to swim with these gentle giants. I made sure to keep my distance from them. It was an amazing experience although I don’t approve feeding the whalesharks.

I did call you, once or twice, just to hear your voice and just to be sure that I’m not talking to a robot. But I guess, this long-distance-thing prompted me to create this perfect guy...
