(WSPA) SALEM, SC — Forty-seven marijuana plants were seized and Oconee County Sheriff’s deputies found a meth lab during a ongoing marijuana eradication operation.
Oconee County Chief Deputy Terry Wilson said that helicopter pilots spotted the plants after narcotics investigators received information from the community and with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources of an illegal grow operation in Salem. Wilson said that the pilots noticed the marijuana plants growing behind a residence at 330 Carmel Ridge Road. The pilots then guided the officers to the location where they seized the plants, worth an estimated $2,000 each.
