Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman Pt 4
Word Count: 2761
Peter Parker/ Spiderman x Reader
A/N: Sorry this one is so long, but I don’t care. :P
Tumblr media
“You have 15 minutes left.”
I glanced up at the clock and back down at my test. I’d finished five minutes ago but I was going back over every single answer. There was one question that I wasn’t sure about. I specifically remembered Peter explaining how to do this problem but I couldn’t remember whether the explanation contained ‘do’ or ‘do not.’
“Fuck it,” I mumbled under my breath as I boxed in my answer and stood up.
I wasn’t the first one done but normally I was the last one finished so a lot of people turned to look at me. I kept my eyes on the clock as I marched up to my teacher’s desk. He looked at me over his glasses like a hawk watching a mouse.
“Ms. (Y/L/N),” he muttered as he took my test from my hand. “Are you sure you don’t want to check your answers again?”
I’ll check my answers up your butt.
I shook my head and marched out of the classroom. It was mid passing period when I got to my locker and I had to elbow my way through people that had no spacial awareness. I winced as my locker door bounced off my head with a clang and gave the guy next to me a dirty look. Luckily for him the hallway began to clear out before I could hurt him and make it look like an accident.
“Hey,” someone said from behind me. I glanced over my shoulder to see Peter nervously gripping the straps of his backpack. “How’d the test go?”
“There was only one that tripped me up!” I said excitedly. “I can’t thank you enough!”
I threw my arms around his neck and this time he hugged me back immediately. He lifted me off the ground as he hugged me tighter in a bone crushing hug. I laughed as he set me back down.
“Hey, guys.”
Peter and I jumped away from each other to see MJ and Ned standing next to each other. Both of them had the same stupid shit eating grin plastered across their faces. Before I could say anything Peter began to stammer out what he must have thought sounded like an explanation. I elbowed him in the side and he immediately shut his mouth.
“Hey MJ, Ned…” I started. “Uh…”
“How’d the math test go?” MJ asked, leaning against the lockers.
“I think I did really well,” I said turning to close my locker. “Peter was just congratulating me.”
“Looks like more than congratulating…” MJ muttered next to my ear.
“So are you guys excited about the…” Ned trailed off and dramatically looked up and down the hallway.
“the party?” he whispered. I laughed as MJ and Peter stared at him.
The bell rang before I could respond to Ned and MJ and I left Ned and Peter standing at my locker and I could feel her judgement bubbling inside her.
“So…”
“I don’t wanna talk about it,” I muttered, making her grin even wider.
—————-
MJ and I walked up the stairs to Betty’s house and stood at the front door.
“Just how loaded do we think Betty’s parents are?” I asked MJ, still looking up at the house.
“A three story home in one of the most expensive neighborhoods in Brooklyn?” MJ replied, also looking up at the house. “You wanna ask? If I ask it’ll be without- what was is you said- tact?”
I snorted as she opened the door and I followed her in. The house was bursting at the seams with students from Midtown; half of which were drunk and half of which were stoned. As soon as we crossed the threshold, I immediately regretted coming to this party.
MJ’s hand was already around my wrist.
“If I’m here, you’re here,” she muttered out of the corner of her mouth as she waved at someone across the room. “We’ll just stay until Peter and Ned get here and then we can leave.”
I yanked my arm from her and grudgingly sighed.
“I’ll go get us something to drink,” I said as MJ lovingly flipped me off before strutting into the kitchen.
I sighed and squeezed in between drunken teenagers until I was standing in front of a drink table that had been heavily looted. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw someone slide up next to me
“What’s up, (Y/L/N)?”
I turned to see Flash leaning against the drink table. He was looking at me with what I could only describe as dull bedroom eyes. Creepy, dull bedroom eyes.
“Uh. Hey, Flash, ” I said as I turned around to go find MJ.
“You don’t usually come out to parties,” Flash said, following me (unfortunately.) “It’s nice to see you out living life instead of cooped up studying with Penis Parker.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” I asked over my shoulder. Flash was generally annoying but right now he was being exceptionally annoying.
I finally spotted MJ-eating gherkins from the jar- standing at Betty’s kitchen counter.
“Well, ya know,” he said, still following me. “One of the cutest girls in Academic Decathlon hanging out with one of the weirdest dudes…”
“Uh,” I was a little lost for words.
I passed MJ her drink and widened my eyes at her in a non verbal ‘yikes.’ She didn’t respond but held a gherkin out on the end of her fork and I rolled my eyes before accepting and letting her feed it to me.
“Anyway,’ Flash said leaning against the counter next to me. “I heard Penis was helping you study for the calc test, which is weird because he’s not even in our class.”
“Don’t call him that,” I said taking a sip of my drink and grimacing as it burnt my throat. “And does it matter who I study calc with?”
“It doesn’t, but I’m pretty sure I have a better grade in calc-”
“Yeah fuckin’ right, Flash,” MJ said crunching on a pickle.
Flash looked a little dejected but obviously MJ and I were going to have to be meaner to him if we wanted him to leave us alone.
“Anyway, (Y/N), you take the bus right?” he asked.
“I used to. I take the subway now,” I said taking another sip and grimacing. Why is everyone so concerned with my method of commute?
“Well,” Flash said sliding closer to me along the counter. I glanced at MJ who looked away with a nonverbal ‘oof.’ Flash’s hip bumped mine and he put his arm over my shoulders. “I happen to have a car and if you ever want a ride to school…”
I glanced at the floor before taking a large gulp of my drink- followed by a grimace. Flash wouldn’t shut up and I really wanted to stab him with the fork MJ was using but decided to just drink more. And grimace more.
I heard someone say my name as I took another sip of my drink. I looked up to see Peter standing in front of me, and I felt butterflies in my stomach. He was looking at Flash like he was going to break his arm, and it was… kind of a turn on?
“Peter!” I gasped. I threw Flash’s arm off and grabbed Peter around the neck. His arms were around my waist almost right away.
“Oh thank God. Please tell me Flash is gone,” I whispered into his ear.
“Hey what’s up Penis?” Flash said, answering my question. I felt Peter stiffen slightly. “I was telling (Y/N) that I could drive her to school sometime. You know…”
Flash continued to taIk and I pulled away to look at Peter. He looked irritated but otherwise fine. I rolled my eyes as he droned on behind us.
“You didn’t get lost,” Peter murmured quietly as he smirked down at me.
“Yeah, well. I had MJ,” I said. I was definitely beginning to feel buzzed.
“Hey, Penis,” Flash said behind us. “What’s it like wiping Tony Stark’s ass everyday?”
I abruptly turned around.
“Oh my God, Flash. Are you still here?” I asked looking him up and down. “Isn’t there somewhere else you can be insecure about your dick size?”
Flash looked more surprised than offended by what I said, but nonetheless stalked out of the kitchen.
“Yikes, that was a little harsh, (Y/N),” Ned said. He was standing next to Peter, who was smiling ear to ear.
“Hi, Ned. Nice hat,” I said finishing off my drink. I let out a rasping breath, almost expecting fire to come out of my mouth. “And, yeah. Probably.”
“Wow, even Ned thinks you were harsh,” MJ said, offering me another gherkin. I accepted.
“I’m sure he’ll get over it,” Peter said, still grinning.
“I need another drink and you two don’t have one,” I said looking back and forth between Ned and Peter. “And I only have two hands, do-”
“I’ll go with you!” Ned blurted.
Peter glanced over at him and Ned nodded at him. I furrowed my eyebrows and looked between my three friends. MJ was looking at Ned the same way Peter was; the only difference being that Peter was rapidly turning pink.
Ned and I made our way to the drink table and I smiled at his excitement.
“Are you…?” I asked holding up a bottle of clear alcohol. He shook his head. “Do you think Peter…?”
“He didn’t say no before we left so…”
I smiled and made Peter a weak drink.
“So…” Ned started. “You and Peter…”
I froze and felt my cheeks begin to get warm.
“Did Peter put you up to this?” I asked as I handed him a soda. Ned didn’t have a good poker face but he didn’t say anything else. I smiled. “C’mon.”
“So do you… ya know…?” Ned asked as we walked back into the kitchen.
“You’re gonna have to be more specific,” I said as I turned around and quickly walked straight to Peter and handed him his drink. “Ned and I just had a very interesting conversation, Peter.”
Peter’s eyes widened into his drink and he quickly brought the cup to his mouth and took a gulp- one that he obviously regretted. He made a face similar to the one that I made every time I took a sip of my drink.
“I assume it was, I can’t really remember,” I said glancing at Ned out of the corner of my eye. He visibly relaxed.
“You can’t remember? How much have you had to drink? Or, uh, how long have you been here?” Peter asked as he set his drink down on the counter. I look another large sip.
“Peter,” I said through a grimace. “Do you know what the term ‘light-weight’ means?”
MJ and Peter chuckled as I took another sip that burned less than the first drink did. I had a feeling that tonight was going to be a good night.
——————-
The subway was pretty empty, so Peter and I were able to sit this time. Ned sat across from us and MJ was standing. She had to change trains before any of our stops.
“I’ll see you Sunday,” she said. We were holding pinkies in my semi-drunken state. “And please get home safe you fuckin’ dork.”
I closed my eyes and smiled at her.
“I looove you, MJ,” I said as the train pulled to a stop.
“Ew.”
She stepped off the train.
“I LOVE YOU!” I yelled after her.
“I DON’T KNOW YOU!”
The doors closed and my butt vibrated as the train began to take off. I had to squint at my phone because I was maybe a little too drunk to read.
MJ: love you too.
Ned got off at the next stop and as soon as the train took off I laid my head on Peter’s shoulder.
“Do you know which stop you are?” he asked. I squinted up at the subway map.
“If I say no does that mean you’ll walk me home?” I asked. He chuckled.
“To the side walk?”
I felt my heart start to pick up the pace.
“Uh, actually. Do you want to maybe watch that crime documentary?” I asked nervously. Peter looked down at me and I shifted to look up at him. He had a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth and he arched an eyebrow at me. “Only if you want to though, I wouldn’t want-“
“I want to,” he said. I broke a smile and he smiled back down at me. “Also, the next stop is yours.”
He stood up and held his hand out to help me up. I graciously accepted. Normally I would have immediately let go of his hand but in my emboldened state I entwined my fingers in his as we walked towards the doors. He squeezed my hand as we stepped off the train.
The walk to my apartment was comfortably quiet. Every now and then, one of us would comment about our immediate surroundings but we didn’t speak any further than that.
My mind was racing. Well, as much as it could run with the amount of alcohol it was handling.
We’re just going to watch people murdering each other. Do not set any expectations for this, (Y/N).
But I couldn’t help but let my mind wander. I imagined his lips on mine; what they would feel like on mine, if they’d be soft. I glanced at him, trying to determine if he had chapped lips or not. He noticed.
“What?” he said using his other hand to wipe his upper lip. “Do I have a pimple or something?”
I shook my head and looked away. We walked further down the block and I almost had my arm ripped out of the socket when I walked past Peter. I turned to look back at him irritably. He had a very smug look on his face and he simply pointed at the building in front of us.
Which was my building.
“How drunk are you?” he asked as I opened the door and walked to the elevator. There was a maintenance sign taped to it, indicating it was not functional.
“Oof. Too drunk to take the fuckin’ stairs that is fo’ sho.”
Fo’ sho’? The fuck was that?
Suddenly, I wasn’t on my feet anymore: Peter had scooped me up in his arms and was already carrying me up the stairs.
“Peter! Stop, it’s- I live on the fifth floor,” I said wrapping my arms around his neck.
“Shut up, its fine,” he responded. His voice was surprisingly even, and as we started up the second flight of stairs he didn’t even break a sweat.
On the fifth floor, Peter set me down and I let us into my apartment. I gave Peter the remote and I retreated to my room so I could change. Staring in the mirror, I took a couple deep breaths.
No expectations.
Peter was playing a game on his phone when I walked out into the living room.
“You’re in my spot,” I teased as I sat next to him and curled my feet under me.
He chuckled and started the episode. The alcohol was making me feel brave, so I scooted closer to him and laid my head on his shoulder. He stiffened for the briefest moment before he shifted and around put his arm around my shoulder.
Peter began to run his fingers through my hair and I leaned against his hand, inviting him to continue. I took the hem of his shirt and began to roll the seam in my finger tips. It started to get harder to keep my eyes open and I felt myself drifting off.
“Peter,” I mumbled. He hummed at me. “I want to lay down.”
I began to sit up so I could go to my bedroom but Peter shifted around so I could lay against his chest along the couch and still watch the show. I smiled as I listened to his heart beat and began to match my breathing to his. I could tell I was about to fall asleep as Peter continued to play with my hair.
“Peter?”
“Hm?”
“Thanks,” I said as I let my eyes close.
“For?” he asked shifted a little. His cheek was now pressed into the top of my head.
The best I could respond with was a hum as I began to drift out of consciousness and into the world of sleep.

Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman Pt 3
Word Count:
Peter Parker/ Spiderman x Reader
A/N: if your marvel fan fic doesn’t have a stan lee ‘cameo’ (kinda), how is it marvel?
Tumblr media
The next morning I woke up on time for school, but I didn’t feel like going to my first three classes. I was guaranteed an A in French and in chemistry so I asked my mom to call the school for me. She agreed, only if I could stay at the house this weekend while her and my dad were visiting my aunt out in Buffalo.
I agreed and thought about texting Peter to let him know we could meet at my house this weekend but I wanted to play it cool, so I decided I’d tell him when I got to school and I rolled over to try to fall asleep for another hour or so.
However, I couldn’t fall back asleep. I rolled back onto my back and sat up looking around my room. I decided even if my room wasn’t exactly messy, I was going to get something done if I couldn’t sleep. Moving around the room, I roamed around like a reverse tornado. As I moved around I could see my phone buzzing on my desk but I figured Michelle was texting me and she could wait.
I packed up my backpack and made myself a late breakfast and headed back to my bedroom to check my texts.
7 texts from MJ. 1 text from Peter. I smiled, feeling butterflies in my stomach.
Saving Peter’s text for last, I opened MJ’s messages.
MJ: hey where tf are u?
r u rlly gonna make me sit alone in homeroom?
rlly? I thought I meant more to u than that.
      read this article btw: link
r u coming to school at all today?
if ur coming late, buy me a coffee
      peter asked about u.
I smiled at her last text and opened Peter’s text.
Peter: didn’t see you w/ MJ in homeroom. are you doing okay?
I quickly responded.
(Y/N): why? worried about me?
Peter: no, just don’t want to get a bad grade on our project. :)
I giggled.
(Y/N): i’ll be at school before lunch.
Peter: can’t wait.
I read the text over and over again. Peter couldn’t wait… to see me? I smiled the entire time I got dressed and the entire walk down to my coffee shop.
After 20 minutes, I was headed to school. I decided to treat myself and take a cab to school and snap-chatted a picture of my two coffees to MJ before putting my phone away to look out the window. We pulled up the the light right before Midtown and I noticed a white car with tinted windows parked near the stairs up to the subway.
I held my breath as I watched a man walk up to the car from the stairs. He looked around and I finally saw his face: it was the man who I’d bit. I felt the hair on the back of my neck stand up as he got into the car and my cab turned to drop me off. I kept my eyes glued on the white car until it turned down the street and disappeared from sight.
“Hey, lady!” the cabbie was looking at me in the mirror. “The meter’s still goin.’”
I got out of the car in a daze and I walked towards school like a paranoid schizophrenic. I didn’t stop checking behind my back until I was in the office.
“Are you okay, dear?” the lady at the front desk asked. “You look a little pale and your mother didn’t mention you being sick…”
“I’m fine,” I said rubbing my clammy palms on my pants before picking up the two coffees again.
I got to my locker and then made my way to English. MJ was sitting in the back of the classroom and I quietly made my way to her. I sat down and slid her coffee across the table to her.
“Seemed like studying went well last night,” she said, not looking up from her phone. I turned and opened my mouth but she interrupted me. “I heard Peter talking to Ned.”
I nodded and took my things out and class started before MJ was able to interrogate me further.
——————
School was over and I paced at the front of the school. They had to be waiting for me this time too. I couldn’t understand how they’d found me and I certainly couldn’t understand why they were so interested in me.
I was waiting for Peter inside the school this time as I peered from the windows, scanning the crowd for the men that attacked me. I realized I was at a disadvantage because I hadn’t seen the driver and he could easily be the one who was outside waiting.
“Hey, whats-oh,” Peter looked startled as I spun around like a deer caught in headlights. I glanced back out the window. “Are you okay?”
“No,” I sighed. He glanced around and leaned down to me. “You have to promise not to tell anyone.”
He nodded and I took a deep breath.
“Okay, I didn’t tell you everything that happened when I got lost the other day,” I began as I launched into the story. Peter listened to me without interruption and didn’t look particularly surprised when I mentioned Spiderman. He nodded and looked outside.
“You didn’t go to the police?” he asked.
“No, I thought it was just a fluke and I assumed after they’d been glued to their car, they’d have been picked up by the cops.”
Peter frowned and muttered something under his breath.
“Okay, well you’ve only seen them at school right?”
“So far,” I said, glancing out at the thinning crowd.
“Well, then as long as they don’t follow us onto the subway-”
“They know we’ll be headed that way,” I said interrupting him. He grabbed my arm and he towed me out the front door behind a group of band students carrying their instruments.
“We need to move now,” he said peeking above a trombone. “The longer we wait, the more students go home and the more vulnerable we become.”
I followed him, crouching a little. I kept scanning but Peter shook my arm.
“Keep your head down,” he said, turning away from me. “We’re almost there.”
I could see the stairs and my heart skipped a beat as I felt Peter’s hand around mine. He pulled me hard and we ran from behind the band kids to and up the stairs. Peter pulled me to the far end of the platform and after we stopped I began to turn my head to check my surroundings but Peter grabbed my face to stop me.
Our faces were inches apart and my breath hitched as he stared into my eyes. He opened his mouth to speak but continued to stare at me like a fish as the train pulled up to the stop.
“Peter?” I asked, glancing at the train. He shook his head and looked above me before pulling me onto the subway car.
Again there was no standing room, so we stood face to face; this time my hand entwined in his. I glanced out the window as the doors slid close to see one of my attackers standing on the platform scanning the crowd. I gasped and turned back around to face Peter, he looked down at me and squeezed my hand. My hand hurt from how hard I was holding on to him, but he was gripping my hand just as hard.
For a moment, it was just the two of us; nothing else around us mattered. I was getting lost in his eyes and he broke a smile. I felt my worry melt away as I smiled back up at him.
We jumped as an older man stumbled into us as he tried to get to an open seat. He gave Peter a dirty look and his mustache twitched. I watched in silence as the man got seated behind Peter and smiled when the old man smiled back at me. My hand began to tingle and I shook Peter’s hand off to crack my knuckles.
I took a big shaky breath.
“It’s nice to see you breathing again,” he said. I could hear the smile in his voice but couldn’t bring myself to look at him yet.
I felt tears building up in the corners of my eyes now that I thought about the implications of what had happened the last few days. I looked back up at Peter and his smile vanished. Still holding on to the rail above us with one hand, he pulled me into a hug with his other hand. I pressed my face into his chest and wrapped my arms around his waist as I tried to stifle my tears. Peter pressed his cheek against the top of my hair.
I felt safe in Peter’s arms and I took another big breath through my nose. Something stirred in the back of my head and I pulled away to wipe my eyes. Peter was looking down at me with concern etched all over his face.
“You smell safe,” I said, making him chuckle. I looked back down at his chest at the black mascara stains on his tee shirt. “Fuck, I’ll spot clean that for you.”
“It’s not a problem, May can probably…” he trailed off as I looked up at the map and moved towards the doors as we began to slow. “You know we have a couple stops left, right?”
“We’re getting coffee,” I said as the doors opened.
Peter followed me out of the subway and we didn’t speak the rest of the way to his apartment.
——————
“I think you’re ready,” Peter said as I circled the final answer on the study guide. “Just review questions like 35 and 47 and you should get an A.”
I sighed and laid my face on my study guide.
“Is that a guarantee?” I mumbled through smushed cheeks.
Peter laughed and I picked my head up to turn around to face him. In the time I’d spent with my back to him, he’d somehow managed to mess up his hair so it was sticking up in all different directions.
“We still have some time before you have to leave,” he said as he rotated his laptop towards me. The intro to the crime documentary was paused on his laptop and he stuck out his bottom lip at me. I glanced at my phone.
“Actually, my parents are leaving tomorrow for the weekend and I should probably go spend some time with them,” I said, immediately feeling guilty as he frowned down at his computer. “We can watch it after we work on our project at my house on Saturday?”
Peter nervously scratched the back of his neck.
“So, what are you do- what are you up to tomorrow?” he asked, nervously. My eyes widened and my cheeks felt warm. “I-I mean if you don’t, um, already have plans…”
“I, uh, I kinda already do…” I said feeling my cheeks burning. “MJ and I got invited to a party out in Brooklyn.”
Peter’s face fell and he looked away from me.
“But, you should totally come,” I said, quickly. “Bring Ned, I’m sure you guys would have fun.”
Peter turned back to look at me, almost smiling.
“Do you know how to get to Brooklyn?” he asked. I furrowed my eyebrows at him.
“I mean, even if I didn’t there’s always cabs-“
“Because I’m worried,” he continued, cutting me off. “That you’ll get lost.”
I pressed my lips together and held back a laugh as I tried to look as angry as possible. I looked around and grabbed a chess piece off his desk and chucked it at him. He caught it with one hand while he continued to laugh at me.
“Jackass,” I mumbled, standing up and looking around for my shoes.
“You’ll get over it,” he said, standing up. “You’re not gonna let me walk you home again are you?”
“Nope,” I said popping the ‘p’ with my tongue. “Just the sidewalk.”
Peter rolled his eyes but didn’t say another word as we left his apartment. As we walked down the stairs I tried to decide how I was going to get to school tomorrow. I could take a cab again, but I could only afford to take a cab so many times.
We got to the front door and Peter held it open for me to follow him out onto the sidewalk.
“Hey, do you take the same route to school?” I asked turning around abruptly. He looked a little confused but he nodded. “I was wondering if-uh-maybe, you’d wanna take the train-uh- with me?”
Peter’s face lit up immediately but quickly changed to a smug grin.
“You’re worried you’re gonna get lost, aren’t you?” he asked. I pouted up at him while I tried not to laugh. “Yes, of course I will. Do you know what stop to meet me at?”
I nodded and threw my arms around his neck, and thrust myself at him in a very aggressive hug that forced me to the tips of my toes. He barely budged when I slammed into him and I heard him laugh into my hair. His arms wrapped around my waist under my backpack.
I sighed as his arms tightened around me. We stood in each other’s arms a little longer than friends probably should, but I didn’t care.
“Thank you,” I murmured into his shoulder. “For earlier.”
He murmured something into my hair and we shifted so my feet were flat on the ground. Just like on the subway, it felt like nothing else mattered; it was just me and Peter. I wanted more than anything to stay in his arms but my phone began to ring in my back pocket.
I sighed irritably and pulled away from him to see that my mom was calling me.
“I should probably go,” I said as I shoved my phone back into my pocket. “But I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Alright, get home safe. Uh, text me when you get there,” he said as I turned down the street. I gave him a thumbs up. “Unless you get lost.”
Without turning around I shot him a middle finger over my shoulder, earning a laugh from behind me. I heard his front door shut before I rounded the corner.
—————
I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face the whole way home. I walked straight into my room and opened my window to let some fresh air in. Taking out my phone, I sent Peter a quick text.
(Y/N): made it
There was a chime from my fire escape. I curiously peaked out my window but the only thing on the fire escape was an abandoned bird’s nest.
Before I could investigate further I got a text from Peter.
Peter: kaow
I squinted down at my phone.
(Y/N): are you having a stroke?
Peter: No. lol
          I meant to say good.
I’m glad you made it home safe.
I smiled down at my phone.
(Y/N): ok. c u tomorrow :)
Peter: can’t wait. :)
I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face as I walked into the living room.
Peter Parker couldn’t wait to see me.

Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman Pt 2
Word Count: 1926
Peter Parker/ Spiderman x Reader
A/N: I don’t know how much I need to say about this one...
Tumblr media
After school I stood at the bottom of the steps blasting music in my ears while I waited  for Peter. I nervously bit at my lower lip and shifted my weight from foot to foot.
Maybe this was a bad idea; I was already antsy and Peter wasn’t even here. Maybe I should have taken his suggestion to go to a public place, maybe then I wouldn’t be so nervous.
I glanced up as a white car with tinted windows slowly drove past me. I froze and the back window began to roll down. Peering into the car window, I tried to discern who was sitting in the back seat of the car.
I gasped and turned around as I felt someone tap me on the shoulder; Peter- also looking startled- froze with his arm still extended towards me. I breathed out a quick greeting and turned back to the street but the car was gone.
“Are you okay?” he asked walking around to face me again, he placed his hand on my shoulder and looked down at me. His eyebrows were knit together and his mouth was pressed into a thin line. I felt short of breath as I stared back up into his brown eyes.
“Yeah,” I barely whispered. I cleared my throat and brushed his hand off, looking towards the subway. “Should we go?”
He awkwardly put his hand in his pocket and we walked side by side in comfortable silence.
“I should start riding the subway,” I said to myself as I walked up the stairs to the platform. “But I’ve been too nervous about getting lost.”
“Yeah, you ride the bus don’t you?” he said, suppressing a smile. “I’d think it’d be easier to get lost on a bus.”
I opened my mouth to defend the bus system, but paused. How was I supposed to argue?
“Okay, to be fair, I did get lost yesterday,” I said, making him smile. “But that’s only happened a few times.”
“How’d it happen this time?” he laughed as we stepped onto the subway car. There was no sitting room, so we stood face to face; I held a pole at the end of one set of seats and he held on just above my hand. I began to tell him how I got lost yesterday,  skipping over the part where I was almost kidnapped and the part where Spiderman took me home.
“It must have taken you an hour to walk home, huh?” he asked, moving to let someone past. He accidentally took one step too many and stepped directly into me, our chests bumping into each other. Our eyes locked and we quickly moved away from each other, laughing nervously.
We stood in silence until I offered him my spare earbud. He nodded and stepped closer so I could reach the wire to his ear. In passing the earbud, he wrapped his hand around mine as I held the earbud close to the side of his face. My cheeks felt very warm as we froze for a moment before I slipped my hand out of his and looked out the car window.
For the rest of the ride, we didn’t speak but every now and then our hands would brush against each other as the subway trundled along below us. A few stops later I felt the earbud I’d given to Peter brush my arm and I looked up at him.
“You should come with me if you don’t wanna get lost... again,” he said, grinning down at me. I rolled my eyes and followed him off the car and we walked side by side the rest of the way to his apartment.
——————
His aunt wasn’t home so we walked straight into his bedroom and he cleared some space at his desk so I could get out my text book and study guide. We immediately got to work, going question by question. Every question I would explain to Peter what I thought the approach was and he would walk me through what I didn’t understand.
May briefly came home around 6, but left shortly after to go out for the night. By that point we’d been studying for a couple of hours and gotten through over half of the study guide. I suggested I head home, and Peter tried to convince me to stay and watch a crime documentary MJ had been talking about.
“Peter, it’s like 8 episodes,” I whined as I spun around. I was sitting with my legs criss-crossed, my computer in my lap, using my arm to spin myself in circles in his chair.
“Just 1 episode?” he pleaded from the floor. I wanted more than anything to stay, but if I wasn’t home relatively soon I’d be in a lot of trouble with my parents. I stood up and shook my head, looking around for my shoes and back pack. “At least let me walk you home, you don’t live that far from here, right?”
I gave him a sideways glance as I sat down on the floor next to him to put on my shoes.
“I’ll let you walk me to the sidewalk,” I said tying my shoe and looking back at him. He rolled his eyes.
“How do I know you won’t get lost?” he said, nudging me with his elbow. I suppressed a smile and stuck my tongue out at him. He stood up and held his hand out to help me up which I graciously accepted.
When he pulled me up, we collided and I wrapped my arms around his shoulders to keep myself from falling. His arms were around my waist and I pulled back to look at him, still standing with our arms wrapped around one another. I nervously looked at him with pink cheeks and he smiled down at me with a nervous laugh. I smiled back as I stepped away from him and nervously looked around for my backpack only to see Peter holding it out for me.
“The sidewalk?” he asked as I took my backpack from him. “Are you sure I can’t walk you home?”
“Just the sidewalk,” I restated. He looked like he was about to argue but closed his mouth and glanced at his backpack.
We took the stairs down to the street and he held the last door open for me. I turned around to thank him. Impulsively, I took a bold step towards him and wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him into a hug. He froze for a moment before I felt his shoulders relax and his arms wrap around my waist under my backpack. I burrowed my cheek into his shoulder and exhaled. I felt his lips close to my ear as he sighed.
“Are you sure?” Peter mumbled into my hair.
No, I thought.
“Yes,” I said as I pulled away and stepped out into the night. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Text me when you get home!” he said and I gave him a thumbs up before I turned around. I began to walk down the street and only looked back once but Peter was already gone.
Maybe I shouldn’t have asked for his help in the first place, I felt like maybe I was bothering him.
But he was the one asking me to stay, I thought. I shoved my hands in my jacket pockets and picked up the pace along the street, trying not to think about it.
I heard a familiar thwip above me and stopped to look up to the rooftops. A few pigeons flew from the roof above me to the telephone wire across the street. I looked around but only saw some people smoking out side a pizza shop. Shrugging to myself, I walked along down the street and turned the corner.
Sitting on the hood of a car, Spiderman was examining a ticket stuck to the windshield. He looked up as I turned the corner and we both froze.
“Hey,” he said, sitting up. “I know you, don’t I?”
I tucked a stray hair behind my ear and smiled.
“I didn’t know that the Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman gave parking tickets,” I teased walking up to him. “I’d think that would be a little below your pay grade.”
“Actually, it’s expired plates,” he said, hopping down from the car in front of me. “Can’t keep a safe neighborhood with out updated plates.”
We laughed and he looked around.
“What are you doing around here?” he asked as he crossed his arms. I squinted at him trying to figure out where I’d heard his voice before.
“I’m actually on my way home,” I said nodding up the street. “I’m not lost.”
He laughed and scratched the back of his neck as I shifted my weight back and forth.
“You want a ride home?” he asked. I could tell he was smiling as he held his hand out to me.
“I don’t know…” I said looking around the empty street.
“Oh, come on,” he said, taking a step towards me and pulling me into him by my waist. I placed my hand on his chest to stabilize myself and found myself face to face with his white eye pieces focusing on me. “You might wanna hang on.”
I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck as we shot up into the air. I glanced down and felt dizzy seeing how far above the streets we were. I heard him laugh as I gasped and buried my face in his neck and gripped him closer. Soon he began to slow down and I knew we must be close to my apartment.
“Hey,” I said, close to his ear as we began to descend to the street. “Do we actually know each other? You seem really familiar.”
I felt him stiffen and my feet touched the ground and I felt his second arm around my waist to stabilize me.
“Uh, no… I-I get that a lot,” he said, his voice sounded funny this time, forcibly deeper. I giggled under my breath as he continued. “Very, uh, common voice- ya know?”
I stepped back from him and readjusted my backpack.
“Well, thanks, again… “ I said. “I’m sure you have a lot of other friendly hero stuff you need to be doing.”
“It’s no- wait, hero?” he said, a little startled and surprised. “I’m not exactly a hero.”
“Are you kidding?” I said, reaching out to grab his arm. “With out you, I’d be…”
I trailed off.
“You’re definitely a hero,” I said, letting go of him and turned toward my apartment. “I should get up stairs.”
“How do I know you won’t get lost?” he asked, and I could hear the smile in his voice. I froze and squinted at him.
“You aren’t the first person to say that to me today,” I said, my mind drifting to Peter. I frowned trying not to overthink my interactions with Peter. “Thanks again.”
“No problem,” he said, quickly repelling himself up the building. “See ya round, (Y/N).”
I waved as I stepped out of the alley and crossed the street. I looked up to watch Spiderman jump from building top to building top. I smiled to myself as I turned to unlock the door to my building and stared at my reflection in the glass doors.
You told him your name, you thought. You did, right?
I stood for another moment staring at myself before opening the door and walking up to my apartment.

Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman Pt 1
Word Count:  2680
Peter Parker/ Spiderman x Reader
A/N: So I wrote this kind of trying to make it a one and done type thing, but I ended up writing a lot, and I haven’t even gotten to what I deem as a ‘half way point.’ So I’m gonna break it up, and I’m still new to this so I will try to link the next parts below. Also, I’ve been very uncreative and I’m open to people sending me requests but I don’t want the expectation to be that I will fulfill all requests. So yeah, please give me feed back b/c while this is a creative out let for me I’d love to know what people think.
Tumblr media
I walked down the street towards the bus stop, my eyes glued to my phone as I read through a scientific article I needed for a project and I shoved my earbuds in and began blasting a new band I’d recently heard about. The bus hissed to a stop in front of me, and I stepped up without taking my eyes off my phone. I didn’t need to listen to the other stop names: it was 4 stops to my apartment. I turned up my music as a baby started to cry behind me.
Four stops later I hopped off the bus, and began to walk down the street as I continued to scroll. I took a left towards the coffee shop a few blocks from my apartment and walked up the block only looking up to place my hand on the door.
I ran into the door and looked up. This was not my coffee shop, instead I was looking into a dark restaurant with a health department notice taped in the window. I looked around at my surroundings and irritably sighed as I closed the article on my phone and pulled up my maps. I had no clue where I was. I retraced my steps back to the bus stop and looked to see when the next bus would arrive and checked my phone. The next bus wouldn’t be here for an hour and a half. It was starting to get dark and I began to get nervous as I looked around. I took a deep breath and decided to walk home. Stuffing my hands in my pockets I began the long walk home.
After a couple of blocks, I began to feel like I was being watched. I looked around and noticed a white car with tinted windows turn onto the otherwise empty street. A man got out of the back seat in front of the bodega behind me.
I turned as the car drove past me and stopped at the stop sign and I let out a sigh of relief as I felt my shoulders relax.
Suddenly, another man jumped out of the car and started to walk towards me. I heard footsteps behind me get closer and felt panic sweep over me. I turned toward the street and stepped off the side walk as I felt a hand grab my elbow. I tried to tug my arm out of his grip, but he pulled me back to the side walk as I struggled against him.
“Let go of me!” I shouted at him, hearing the panic in my voice as I swung my free arm to punch at him. He grabbed my other wrist and I fought against him as he began to pull me toward the car as the other man continued to walk towards us.
I started to scream for help and the man I was wrestling against pulled me toward him and clamped his hand over my mouth. I bit down onto his finger and heard him yell as I felt the warm salty taste of blood in my mouth. He let me go, and I turned to run away. I screamed as I felt the other man grab me by my hair and began to cry. My hands wrapped around the hand tangled in my hair as the man I bit slapped me across the face.
I continued to struggle as I was dragged towards the car, tears streaming down my face. The man pulling my hair opened the car door and tried to pull me down into the car with him but I braced my self against the door frame as he tugged on my hair.
“Grab her legs,” he said, and I began to kick at him as he tried to grab my ankles. The grip on my hair tightened and I shouted in pain as my head was yanked back against the man’s shoulder. “Stop- hgugh! struggling you stupid-mph- brat.”
All of a sudden there was a loud thwip, and the car door slammed on the man’s hand. There was a sticky sheet of what looked like stringy plastic wrap holding his hand to the door. He screamed and immediately let go of my hair, and the man that had been trying to grab my ankles stood up just before the same stringy substance wrapped around him and slammed him against the car. His knees buckled but he was stuck to the car from whatever that stuff was.
Stumbling backwards, I tripped over my attacker’s shoe and felt strong arms stop me from falling and immediately began to fight against them.
“Hey-ouch- stop! I-ow! Just-mph” I turned and took a few clumsy steps backwards. I was standing in front of Spiderman. “It’s okay! I’m not gonna hurt you.”
I felt my shoulders relax, only to jump away from the car as the driver opened the door. It slammed shut as Spiderman shot a string at him from his hand.
“Just a sec,” I heard him say as he leapt up on to the car and began to shoot that stuff around the car, making sure the doors wouldn’t open again. He jumped off the car And landed right in front of me.
“Are you okay?” He asked. His voice sounded... familiar. I tilted my head trying to place his voice. He couldn’t have been much older than me. “Hello?”
“Um, yeah,” I said, glancing back at the car. I felt a lump in my throat and took a deep, shaky breath. “As okay as someone can be after almost being abducted.”
He turned to look down the street and looked back at me.
“Here,” he said, holding his hand out. “Let me take you home.”
I glanced down at his hand, and nervously bit my lip. I looked back up at him and he nodded. I tentatively placed my hand in his, and he pulled me into his chest.
“Hang on to me,” he said and I wrapped my arms around his neck, blushing as he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me against him.
He lifted his arm and before I knew it we were soaring into the air. I gasped loudly and his grip tightened as he held me against him. I pressed my face into the crook of his neck, clinging to him for dear life.
“Can I get some directions?” he asked into my ear.
“Oh-uh- yeah,” I said, turning my head as he carefully shifted me so I could see where we were going. I began to direct him and we flew through the streets, and every so often I’d feel his grip tighten around my waist. After about 5 minutes, I could see my apartment building.
“There,” I said nodding towards the brick building. “The front door is on the other side of the building.”
“I can take you straight to your room if you want,” he said as we got closer. “If you’ve missed curfew or something.”
“The front door is fine,” I said. I couldn’t stop trying to place his voice, I’d heard that voice from somewhere before.
He nodded and swung us around the building and into an alley across the street. My feet touched the ground and I felt his other hand on my waist, stabilizing me as I stumbled a little.
“Thank you,” I said sheepishly as I let go of him and took a few steps away from him.
“Well, you were a long way from home,” he said. “And I wasn’t gonna let-”
“No, not for the lift,” I said, trying to decide what to tell my parents. “Those guys-I don’t know what I…”
I trailed off and looked at the ground as I felt tears building in the corners of my eyes. I saw him moving in my peripherals and flinched when I felt his hand on my shoulder.
“Hey,” I looked up at the man in the mask. “You’re safe now. You’re home.”
I glanced over at the apartments and Spiderman’s hand left my shoulder. When I turned back he was half way up the building.
“Do I know you?” I shouted, making him look down at me. He seemed to freeze above me and he muttered something under his breath.
“Uh… yeah! Yeah, of course you do!” he said as he climbed the rest of the way up the building.
“Really?”
I took a few steps back so I could still see him as he climbed over the roof and looked over the edge at me. The white eye pieces on his mask narrowed as if he was scrutinizing me.
“I’m your Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman!”
And then he was gone, leaving me alone in the darkened alley.
——————
I decided not to tell anyone what had happened. Even if I did, who was going to believe my story? I walked up the steps to Midtown High and sighed as I weaved in and out of students.
Same shit as always, I thought to myself. I reached my locker and began to sort through what I needed for first and second period.
Someone walked up from behind me and leaned against the locker next to me. I looked over and smiled at MJ. She looked irritated, but then again, she always looks like that.
“Have you done the calc study guide yet?” she asked, crossing her arms.
“No,” I huffed fishing a binder out of my backpack. “But keep reminding me. If I don’t get at least an A- I’m going to fail the class.”
“You don’t need to be rude,” she said uncrossing her arms as I shut my locker. We started down the hall. “And a B is not failing.”
At the end of the hall I caught sight of Ned and Peter and immediately felt my stomach to a flip.
MJ noticed.
“Maybe Peter can help,” she said elbowing me in the ribs.
“Fuck off,” I said elbowing her back.
“Hey, just a suggestion,” she said as I opened the door to our biology classroom. “If you’re dead set on that A- and I know you are- it might be a good idea.”
“MJ,” I said seriously. “Drop it.”
She shrugged at me and we sat next to each other on the same lab bench. We quipped back and forth while more students took their seats. Peter and Ned sat across from us and I caught Peter’s eye as he pulled out the chair in front of MJ. He smiled at me as he sat down. I smiled and quickly looked away to hide my pink cheeks.
As class started I immediately lost focus and rested my chin in the palm of my hand. As much as I loved the idea of Peter tutoring me, I knew I’d never be able to focus. I glanced over at him as he copied notes from the board. His curly brown hair covering his eyes as he leaned over his notebook. Every now and then he’d look up and rest his chin in the palm of his hand and I could briefly see the light hit his brown eyes.
My butt vibrated, pulling me back to the classroom. I glanced up to check that our teacher wasn’t looking and pulled my phone out of my back pocket. It was a text from MJ.
MJ: ur eyes glaze over when ur day dreaming
I looked over to see her discretely holding her notebook so I could clearly see what she’d drawn. It was a cartoon version of me with hearts for eyes and drool dripping from my mouth. I texted back the middle finger emoji and put my phone in my backpack, signaling to MJ that I was done talking about Peter… for now.
I continued to day dream and vaguely heard our teacher wrapping up his lecture and going over the specifics for the project.
“And it’s due a week from today, so next Wednesday,” he said, reaching for a sheet of paper on his desk. He began reading names from his list and two by two students stood up and met at the door to leave.
“Michelle -Ned…”
Ned stood up in front of me and MJ didn’t move, continuing to scroll through her phone.
“(Y/N)- Peter…”
My eyes widened and I felt my cheeks begin to get warm. I glanced at Peter and we both sheepishly smiled at each other. Out of the corner of my eye I could see MJ as she turned to look at me with that stupid shit eating grin on her face. She got up so quickly it was almost comical, and she made a big show about getting Ned to walk with her to “discuss the project.”
I stood up and turned to meet Peter at the end of the lab bench. We awkwardly greeted each other and began to leave class, our shoulders brushing against each other every couple steps.
“I’ve already been reading a couple articles,” I said, as I turned down the hall towards my locker. My heart fluttered as I noted that this had been the first one-on-one conversation I’d ever had with him. “But if you have something else, we can do that…”
“I haven’t really looked into anything, yet,” he said, glancing up from the floor at me. When his eyes met mine I felt my cheeks getting warm again and quickly looked away.
“We can talk about it more after school,” he said, quickly. ”Do you want to work on it at my place or your place- unless you’re not comfortable with- we can meet in a more public-“
“We can go to your place, if you want?” I said uncertainly. “My parents are super nosy and we’d never get anything done..”
“So we’ll meet up after school?” he asked, pulling out his phone. He seemed nervous but he was also smiling, so I couldn’t tell what he was thinking. “Do I already have your number?”
I shook my head and we exchanged numbers as we rounded the corner. I looked up and saw MJ and Ned standing at my locker whispering to each other. As soon as we were within ear shot the stopped talking and there was an awkward silence as we all stared at each other.
“Nothing,” Ned blurted nervously. MJ rolled her eyes.
“Smooth, Ned. Smooth,” she said. He looked a little embarrassed and quickly changed the subject.
“Are we gonna start the new lego set I got after school today?” Ned asked Peter. “I finally got the Millennium Falcon.”
I opened my locker and saw Peter scratching the back of his neck out of the corner of my eye.
“Actually, (Y/N) and I are gonna start working on our project after school,” Peter said.
I shut my locker and turned around as Ned was about to start complaining but MJ cut in.
“Maybe you can help (Y/N) with her calc study guide,” she said. I glared at her as Peter turned to look at her. “The test is Friday and she won’t shut up about how she’s gonna fail.”
“If you want I can help you with the study guide today, and we can start on the project today and finish it over the weekend,” he said, looking back at me. I glanced at MJ behind Peter’s back and she gave me a subtle thumbs up.
“Uh… sure,” I said tucking a stray hair behind my ear. My cheeks felt like they were burning as he smiled back at me. “I mean, you don’t mind do you?”
“Are you kidding?” Ned said. “Pet-“
“Yeah, it’s no trouble,” Peter said quickly, glancing at Ned. “We have to get going- to, uh, class.”
Ned looked confused, but didn’t respond and began to follow Peter. I watched them leave and turned back to MJ who was grinning back down at me.
“Not a single word,” I said as I turned away from my locker and she followed me off to second period, cackling.

Poe x Reader
A/N: So, this is from Poe’s POV and I don’t know if anyone wants this but I don’t care because it’s what I felt like writing.
Tumblr media
‘C’mon, hurry up,’ I thought as I felt the landing gear of my x-wing touch down. My ship had barely settled on the ground when I switched the ignition off and rapidly slammed my hand down on the hatch’s release button until it popped open with a hiss. I jumped down from the cockpit and threw my helmet to the nearest mechanic that was coming to repair and do general maintenance.
“Nice flying, Poe!” some one shouted from behind me. I turned and gave a thumbs up in the general direction of the voice before I ducked under the nose of the x-wing. I began to search for (Y/N)’s ship and zeroed in on her as she took off her helmet and ran her fingers through her hair.
“Thank the maker,’ I said under my breath as I began to run across the landing strip towards her. She turned towards me just as I reached her and jumped back in surprise as I grabbed her and gave her a bone crushing bear hug, pinning her arms to her sides in the process.
“What are you doing?” she hissed in my ear. She pushed against my hips as she struggled against me. I released her and she immediately jumped away from me looking around to make sure no one had seen. Her BA unit quickly swiveled her head away letting out a low whistle and a couple sharp beeps.
“Shut up,” she said bending down. “Or I swear, I will scrap you for parts.”
BA-5 screeched and beeped frantically as she rolled past (Y/N)’s shins towards BB-8, who had started to roll over to us. When BA-5 reached him he swiveled his  head back to the two of us before they both rolled off towards the hangar.
I looked back over at her. She had turned her back to me while she undid the top of her flight suit. She unzipped it down to her waist and pulled it over and down her shoulders. Leaving the belt clasped, she shrugged off the sleeves and let the arms hang limp at her sides. I pressed my lips together and clenched my fists as I resisted reaching out to touch her muscular back that I could see through her skin tight tank top.
She turned and marched off towards the hangar with out saying anything to me. I took a step after her and grabbed her arm but she yanked it away and shot me a warning look before quickly stalked off. I jogged up behind her.
“Will I see you tonight?” I whispered glancing at a Bothan mechanic that trudged by us. I looked back at her and grinned when I saw her suppressing a smile.
“Maybe,” she whispered. BA-5 rolled out of the hangar beeping angrily. (Y/N) squatted down to her level. “I know, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it.”
BA-5 beeped back and aggressively rolled into her knees with a clank. She stood up quickly, rubbing her knee.
“Besides,” she said irritatedly. “Nobody wants your old parts anyway.”
BA-5 skidded back dramatically and rolled into the hangar beeping angrily.
“I’ll see you later,” I said as I scratched the back of my neck making her look back up at me. She took a step towards me and playfully punched my chest.
“Maybe,” she said before she jogged off after BA-5.
——————
I caught her eye in the cantina as I was leaving with a couple other squadron leaders. I winked at her and her cheeks turned pink.
The other squad leaders met with General Organa to recap today’s mission. I didn’t know what we were recapping, I wasn’t paying attention. All I could think about was meeting (Y/N) out on the roof of the hangar. Sure lots of people could get to the cat walk of the hangar, but hardly anyone knew how to get to the roof. And if they did, they thought that the old ladder still needed maintenance, but I’d fixed that a while ago.
I was pulled out of my thoughts by the General.
“Do you have anything to contribute, Commander Dameron?” she asked as the other pilots snickered.
“Um, yes,” I said shaking my head, and calling up a classified file in a hologram. I could feel my self talking but I still wasn’t paying attention. I could only think about (Y/N)’s body pressed against mine. I wanted to finish this recap meeting so I could go hold her and talk to her in ways that I couldn’t- well, shouldn’t- around the base.
After what felt like hours, the recap was over and I turned to leave with the other squad leaders. I was at the head of the group trying to get to my quarters as fast as possible with out looking suspicious. I couldn’t help but overhear the pilots behind me.
“Did you see (Y/N)’s ass in those leggings?” one said as he let out a low whistle. I recognized his voice, his name was Alix Braconn- I think. He had just been promoted after the untimely death of his former squad leader.
“Those can’t be standard issue,” another said. I clenched my fists. “What did she say this time?”
I had heard rumors that guys around the base had been trying to get (Y/N)’s attention or even get in her pants. I swallowed down a bitter remark.
“She said no. Stupid schutta thinks she’s too good for me,” he said. I turned around and grabbed him by the collar.
“Call another person on my squad a schutta one more time,” I said angrily. Bringing my face close to his. “Do it, I dare you.”
“Jeez, I’m sorry, Poe. I didn’t realize you owned her,” Braconn said smugly. I let him go shoving him back.
“Watch yourself. She’s a better pilot than you,” I said, making him frown. “Maybe she’d make a better squad leader-”
“Is there a problem, Commander?” I heard the General say from behind this moof-milker I was wasting my time with.
“No, General. Not at all,” I said as I looked him up and down one more time before turning my back to him and stalking off.
——————
The sun had just set as I began to climb up to the roof and there was a breeze that made my unzipped jacket flap behind me like a cape. As I pulled myself onto the roof, I looked around, hoping to see (Y/N)  but she wasn’t here yet. The vents were open tonight and the light from the hangar below bathed the roof with light. None of the backup generators were on, and it was strangely quiet with out their electrical hum as I checked around the corner of one of the generators.
Suddenly, I heard the door slam shut below me and jumped behind the generator on the off chance it wasn’t (Y/N). I peeked around the corner and watched her climb up onto the roof and smiled as she had to crawl from the top rung to the flat of the roof. She was wearing a black long sleeve shirt and her black leggings that new squad leader had been talking about. She passed me and I quietly started to follow her as she walked towards the far end of the hangar. That squad leader was right; Her ass did look amazing.
I took one big step and wrapped my arms around her waist and swung her around in a circle as her legs swung in front of her. I buried my face in her neck and inhaled her scent. She was laughing freely, something she rarely did around the base.
I set her down and she turned to face me. She was grinning ear to ear as I gripped her hips and pulled her towards me. She reached up to my face and moved some of my hair out of my eyes. I immediately pressed my lips to hers. She responded by pulling me closer to her, our lips moving in harmony. She lightly bit my lower lip and I opened my mouth and met her tongue with mine. She sighed into my mouth as I squeezed her ass, and slid my other hand up the back of her shirt. Her back was warm against my cold hands, and she flinched away from my hands, arching her back and pressing herself into my chest. I smiled as I kissed her and I held her against me.
We always kissed with such urgency, our hands moving frantically over each other’s bodies. It felt like our time was limited but maybe tomorrow I wouldn’t be able to hold her like this. I wished it could be different and that our futures weren’t so uncertain.
I was pulled from my thoughts as I felt her hands slip under my jacket onto my shoulders. She began to slide my jacket down my arms making me smile against her lips. I let go of her so she could pull it the rest of the way off and tossed it to the ground. I grabbed the hem of her shirt and pulled it up over her head, tossing it somewhere near my jacket. Her hands were back around my neck and her lips found mine again. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her against me.
As I took a few steps to push her against the side of one of the generators she yelped and jumped into me. I pulled away and looked down at her.
“Cold,” she said as pulled me back down to her. I let out a breathy laugh before quickly pressing my lips to hers. I leaned her back, keeping my arm wrapped around her with my hand in between her shoulder blades so her back wouldn’t touch the cold metal. With my other hand I tilted her face to the side and began to kiss down her neck. I felt her cold hand slide under my shirt as her finger tips grazed my back. I shivered and bit down on the soft flesh of her neck making her moan and pull my hips towards her.
I kissed back up her neck to kiss her again. I moved a little too quickly and kissed her too forcefully and heard her head bang against the generator. I quickly pulled back and cradled her head against my chest.
“Oh- fuck- I’m sorry. (Y/N), I’m-” I stammered stroking her hair.
“You hurt meeee,” she whined. I looked down at her to see she was smiling up at me while she rubbed the back of her head. I leaned down and kissed her forehead softly. Then her nose. Then her lips.
“I’m sorry,” I said again, holding her against me. She wrapped her arms around my waist and hummed against my chest. We held each other like that for a while. I kept pace with her slow even breathing, and we shifted our weight from foot to foot- almost like dancing. She hummed again and looked up at me.
“I wish it could be like this all the time,” she said, shivering against me. She was clenching her jaw to quiet her chattering teeth. I let her go and looked around for her shirt.
“You wanna be cold all the time?” I said handing it back to her. She smiled and rolled her eyes.
“No,” she said as turned it right side out and pulled it back over her head as I held out my jacket to her. She ignored my jacket offer and walked over to sit on an electrical box. I followed her and draped my jacket over her shoulders. When I sat down next to her she leaned into my arm and sighed.
“Why didn’t you tell me about that moof-milker that asked you out?”
She pressed her chin into my shoulder and looked up at me, furrowing her eyebrows. Either she really didn’t know who I was talking about, or was pretending not to.
“He asked you out twice?”
“Ah,” she said looking back out at the landing strip. “It didn’t seem that important.”
“Maybe not to you,” I muttered, looking out at the landing strip. She elbowed my side.
“Oooh, is Commander Dameron jealous?” she said smiling up at me.
“Yeah, a little,” I said seriously. Her eyes opened in surprise and her smile disappeared. “I want everyone to know you’re mine.”
“Poe, it’s just-”
“(Y/N),” I said taking her face in my hands. “I hate the idea of anyone else touching you the way I do. I have never felt this way about anyone else.”
She recoiled with fear in her eyes, and looked back out towards the landing strip.
“Poe,” she whispered. “Don’t…”
I looked away from her and followed her gaze. My stomach dropped and I felt like I was going to throw up. I had totally misinterpreted our… whatever this was. I had fallen head over heels for her and I wrongly thought she’d felt the same way. I started rubbing my hands together.
I felt her hand on my knee and looked down at her. She was looking down at her lap.
“You don’t understand how long I’ve wanted to hear that,” she said. I felt my heart start beating faster. “I just don’t- I can’t get… attached.”
I took her hand in mine, making her look up at me.
“You know how uncertain things are around here,” she said, gesturing towards the field of x-wings. “If you didn’t come back, I-I don’t know what I’d…”
She trailed off. I smiled and stroked her thumb with mine.
“I’m not going anywhere,” I said as she looked back up at me. “I will always come back to you.”
“You can’t promise that,” she said. Her voice was shaking.
I slid my hand into her hair and kissed her delicately and  felt her gently place her hands on either side of my face. This kiss was different than before, it was gentle and soft. There wasn’t the same urgency and impatience. When I pulled away I pressed my forehead to hers.
“I know,” I said. “I wish I could. I wish things were different.”
She took a shaky deep breath but didn’t respond. Without thinking, I pulled away and looked her in the eyes.
“I love you, (Y/N),” I said. Her eyes grew wide, and her lips parted in surprise. I was also speechless, because I didn’t know what made me say it. It was impossible to read her face.
“I- I’m sorry, I just-” she silenced me by pressing a finger to my lips.
“I- I love you… too,” she said looking at me through her eyelashes. There was a smile tugging on the corners of her mouth. I felt like my heart was gonna explode.
“Yeah?” I asked, grinning ear to ear. “I need you to say that again, a little louder, maybe?”
She rolled her eyes, smiling as big as I was.
“Okay, don’t push it,” she said, as I pulled her face up to mine and kissed her again.
——————
(Y/N) said she didn’t want to make a big deal about telling everyone but I was bursting with the news. The first person I wanted to tell was General Organa, but when I spoke to her, (Y/N) had already told her. We had been walking to the cantina together before lunch.
“Don’t fuck it up, Dameron,” she said as we parted ways. I found the other squad leaders and sat with them as I looked around for (Y/N). Braconn nudged the pilot next to him.
“She’s wearing those pants again,” he said, looking over my head. I turned around and saw her walking towards her friends a table away from us.
“The things I’d do,” his friend said, bitting his fist. I felt my blood boil and I stood up with out looking at either of them, marching over to her.
When I reached her I grabbed her by the arm and spun her towards me, making her gasp. I kissed her hard on the mouth and the entire cantina went silent. Slowly people started to clap.
“Way to go, Poe!” someone shouted, as I pulled away and looked down at her. She was blushing and grinning back at me.
“What was that for?” she asked breathlessly.
“Telling the General before me,” I said, smiling. She rolled her eyes.
“It’s a good thing I love you,” she muttered as I went to kiss her again.

Grounded
Word Count: 2073
Poe Dameron x reader
- You disobey orders and your Commander takes away your flight privileges
Tumblr media
As soon as the hatch of my x-wing opened, I took my helmet off and took a deep breath of fresh air. I could tell my hair was matted down with sweat as I climbed out of the x-wing. As I walked towards the hanger, a white medic droid rolled up to me, it’s limbs outstretched with needles, hands, and other objects to poke and prod me with. I ignored it and walked straight for the pilot’s locker rooms, where I could take off my pilots uniform. The thought of having to face him after what I’d pulled today made me anxious and jittery.
As I left the locker room the medic droid rolled up to me, this time with a message:
“Lieutenant. Commander Dameron would like to see you in The Strategy Center.”
“Great,” I said, brushing past the droid. I started to take deep breaths to slow my breathing. ‘He’s your Commander. He is only your Commander,’ I began to repeat in my head over and over.
I made my way to the center of the base, winding around pilots and droids- a meeting must have just taken place. I turned the final corner into the Strategy Center and looked around; there were normally a lot of people in the center making battle plans, deciding where next to strike. But this time there was only a small group of people over by the holopad where less than three hours ago I stared up at a intricate blue print of the Star Destroyer that I’d barely escaped from.
One of the pilots cleared his throat and Poe turned to face me. His gaze was so intense, my breath hitched and I could feel my cheeks getting warm. He turned away and finished his conversation with the other pilots before sending them off and turning to face me. He stared at me with his arms crossed leaning against the holopad, while my heart hammered out of my chest. I stood in the doorway, avoiding eye contact feeling my cheeks burning.
Finally, he stood up fully and took a sharp breath.
“What were you thinking?” he said, taking a couple steps towards me. I could tell he was trying not to yell. “You put your entire squadron at risk, maybe even the entire fleet.”
“If I hadn’t disabled their canons, we wouldn’t have stood a chance.” I said, looking him in the eyes. “It had to be done.”
“Yes, it did. But it wasn’t your choice to make,” he said, taking a final step towards me. “What you did was dangerous and ill-advised. It was-”
“Something you’d have done,” I said, cutting him off. I defiantly looked up at him and watched as his eyebrows furrowed.
“You disobeyed orders. You’re grounded until further notice,” he said as he stepped around me to leave.
“Grounded?! You’re grounding me? You absolute hypocrite!” I began to shout as I turned to follow him. He quickly turned back around causing me to stumble back a few steps. He stared me down and I couldn’t tear my eyes away from his. I had obviously crossed a line. He leaned in to my face, close enough that I could feel his hot breath across my nose and cheeks.
“You don’t even touch that ship until I say so,” he muttered before turning around and leaving me in the door way.
——————
I hated being on the ground when everyone else was going off planet. I felt like I was trapped and it was driving me crazy. In the meantime, I had to work in the Strategy Center until I was allowed to wear my pilot’s uniform again. Poe hadn’t spoken to me since he grounded me, but sometimes we’d catch each other’s gaze from across the holopad. Anytime our eyes would meet one of us would quickly look away. I was too ashamed about my behavior and too angry about his actions to look him in the eyes.
It was late and I was almost done transcribing an intercepted comm from a freighter earlier today. There wasn’t anything useful in the comm so I was trying to finish it as fast as I could. I had never been the last one in the center before, and it felt strange to see a place that was normally buzzing with war and chaos be quiet and still. Moonlight shone through the ceiling, where I’d grown to expect sunlight and the only artificial light came from the lamp at my desk and the glow of the monitors around the holopad.
I stood up and clicked my light off and blinked rapidly to try to adjust to the darkness around me. I took a tentative step towards the door as my eyes began to adjust. I heard footsteps rounding the corner and I jumped back a little when I saw Poe step through the doorway. He briefly looked me up and down and then looked around the now moon filled center.
“Hiding in the dark?” he said. He took a couple steps towards me and I took one back. My heart was beating even faster than when I’d watched my commander almost get  destroyed by a TIE fighter. The effect he had on me was ridiculous, and I needed to get a grip.
“I thought I’d find you here,” he continued when I didn’t respond. He stepped towards the holopad and out of the shadows. He was staring at me the same way he had been the day he grounded me, but there was something different… his eyes were kinder.
“I didn’t see you around the base or the cantina, so I figured…” He trailed off as he leaned against the holopad and crossed his arms. I took a deep breath and shoved my hands in my back pockets to stabilize myself.
“Well, yeah. I mean- it’s kind of where I work now,” I said trying to keep my tone light and keep all the accusation out of my voice, but obviously he saw through it. He looked across the holopad.
“You’re safer here,” he said. I didn’t know how to respond. I felt my blood boil and I clenched my fists.
“Did you come here to tell me when I’d be ‘ungrounded?’” I asked through my teeth. I stepped towards him out of the shadows.
He looked over at me. “No, I-”
“Then stuff it,” I said as I began to walk past him but he grabbed my upper elbow and spun me back around. I gasped as he pulled me back towards him, keeping me less than arms length. Half of his face was in shadow and I could feel his breath against my face as I looked up at him.
“(Y/N),” I flinched at the sound of my own name. He had only ever called me Lieutenant  or addressed me in a group. I took a deep breath, ‘he’s your commander,’ I reminded myself. “You disobeyed orders and there are consequences.”
“No one’s ever been grounded for so long over something so minor!” I said angrily, trying to pull my arm out of his hand.
“You think what you did was minor?” he said with the same amount of anger in his voice. He pulled me closer and brought is face close to mine, “You almost died.”
“So? Lots of people have died for less in this war!”
“But the Resistance needs you,” he said in exasperation. “You’re one of our best pilots-“
“Then WHY am I still grounded?!” I shouted back. I could feel my eyes welling with tears. “I hate being trapped down here.”
His expression softened as a single tear betrayed me and rolled down my cheek. I looked down and wiped my cheek with the palm of my hand. He shifted his weight and brought his other hand to my face and tilted my chin up with his fingers, forcing me to look him in the eyes.
“I’m sorry,” he said squeezing my arm. He almost looked embarrassed. “It scared me and I just wanted- needed…to keep you safe.”
I frowned in confusion. “Why do you n-mmph!”
He cut me off by pressing his lips to mine. My eyes snapped open as I froze in shock. Poe Dameron, my commander, was kissing me. He let go of my arm and placed his hand at the nape of my neck sliding his fingers into my hair. My eyes fluttered closed as I placed my hands on his sides, accidentally slipping my thumb into one of his belt loops. Fire works were going off in my head and my heart was hammering out of my chest as he held my face to his, his soft lips moving slowly against mine.
After what felt like forever, I pulled away keeping my eyes closed trying to hold that moment in my mind, memorizing every detail. His forehead was pressed against mine and I could feel him breathing hard. We both knew that we had crossed a line.
“That’s why,” he whispered, moving his hands to my waist. I took his face in my hands and pulled away opening my eyes. His eyes were searching mine and I felt my cheeks get warm under his gaze.
“What?” he said, adjusting his arms and pulling me closer.
“I just… I’ve only ever imagined you doing that.” I said, moving my hands down to his shoulders.
He grinned and leaned down so our noses were almost touching.
“Well, I think I’m gonna do it again,” He whispered as he tilted his head to kiss me again.
He pulled me into him as I grabbed the collar of his jacket and pulled him down to me. He kissed me with more urgency this time. I felt his tongue brush over my bottom lip and I parted my lips to meet his tongue with my own. One of his hands trailed down and lightly squeezed my ass, causing me to gasp and press myself against him. I felt him smile against my lips as he lifted me up and sat me on the holopad. I hadn’t even noticed that he had been walking us towards it. I moved my knees to allow him to step in-between my legs. I slid my hand into his curly brown hair as he began to lower me so my back was against the holopad, with out really thinking I wrapped my legs around his waist.
He tilted my head to the side and planted a soft kiss on my neck. The contrast between his soft lips and his slight stubble made me squirm under him, and I could feel him smiling as he kissed my neck and made a trail to my jaw and down to my collar bone. Occasionally he’d lightly bite me, making me gasp and squirm against him. He kissed his way back up my neck taking both of my wrists and pinning them down beside my head. He bit my neck again, harder than before, and let out a low growl as I softly moaned.
Using one hand he pinned both of mine above my head and used the other to pull me down closer to the edge of the holopad  by my waist. In doing so he slid me down against  one of the holopad’s on switches. A detailed hologram of a planet from a previous mission was called up around us, the bright light hurting our eyes. Poe jumped back too quickly, pulling me with him, down to the floor.
I laughed as I propped my self up on my elbows above him. He grinned sheepishly back at me. I leant down and kissed him again while he pulled me closer to him with his hand in between my shoulder blades.
I pulled away and traced his jaw line with my finger.
“So…does this mean I’m not grounded anymore?” I asked smiling down at him, and cocking an eyebrow. He rolled his eyes.
“Sure, I guess,” he sighed at me. I grinned and brought my face back down to his and kissed him again. And again. And again.
I couldn’t stop smiling. Even if it was just this moment or just this day or the rest of my life, right now, I was his and even if he was my commander, he was mine. In this moment there was no war, no first order, no resistance. Just him and I.

Truth or Dare- Poe Dameron
Tumblr media
Pairing: Poe Dameron/OC
Request: A Poe request for you: on the odd quiet night, in the wee hours, drinking games are played among pilots and mechanics. Someone starts handing out “truth or dare” styled challenges (whether that’s a game that exists for them or not is up to you). Tipsy and overly-honest first kisses ensue.
Warnings: Fluff
A/N: Ugh I loved this. I would love to write more Poe <3
I opened the hatch of the X-Wing and sucked in a deep breath of fresh air, expelling the stale cockpit air from my lungs. Despite having landed more than a full five minutes ago, my nerves were still tingling, a childish grin plastered on my face. It was always amazing to me how that feeling never changed…I must have flown a thousand flights since I’d first started flying, over a decade ago, and that feeling of adrenaline never grew old. I hoped it never would.
I carefully climbed over the side of the cockpit and dropped to the ground, landing on my feet. I could feel my hair sticking beneath my helmet and pulled it off, running a hand through my tangled locks.

Tumblr media
There was a sharp flash of pain as my head slammed against the cockpit’s window, and left side of my X-Wing dipped. I felt dizzy, disoriented. Rushing wind filled my ears, drowning out the sound of a groan. It took me a minute to realize it was me. I was groaning. I’d been hit. Holy crap, I’d actually been hit. But I was clearly still alive. Pain meant I was alive, so that was good. Right?
Someone was shouting over the rushing in my ears.
“—you alright? Hey! Stay with me, Moreau! I can’t make the jump to lightspeed for you!”
