The Dog Days Are Over

Summary: When the reader leaves her brothers and the hunting world in favor of a normal life, she gets caught up in some trouble with an abusive boyfriend.

The tension in the room weighed down on you like a pound of bricks, nailing you into the ground like a statue as you registered the frustration written all over you eldest brother’s face.

Dean was pacing the room and you had your bag in hand, all ready to leave for college, but somehow you couldn’t. You knew Dean had been adverse to you leaving, but he knew this day was coming, right? You had told him countless times that this was what you wanted, but he also dismissed it with a shake of his head and a shot of whiskey.

Now that the day had finally come, he looked furious.

“Dean, you knew this was coming. I told you I wanted to go to college.”

“So that’s it, huh? You just gonna leave Sammy and I for some clean cut apple pie life?”

“Dean-“

“I thought you liked hunting y/n/n.”
