I like art that depicts women not posing seductively or gracefully but simply existing as human beings.

The song that kind of made the album feel like it was starting to actually be an album over a group of songs was ‘Sign of the Times.’ I finished lunch early and went and sat at the piano for like five minutes. It was the quickest songwriting on the album. I think we’d finished it in, minus the choir, about three hours. It became like a bridge into trying a bunch of different stuff.

Every time I re-watch Buffy and they're describing Spike as this big bad before Buffy faces him for the first time and then he shows up and he's just Spike it's so funny knowing the context of his character. No Giles, that's not a scary monster that's Mr. Boyfriend.
