just a quick log. i told myself i would keep an up to date journal but have not been the best at that… so, I’m just gonna scratch down some quick thoughts so maybe i can look back one day and say “oh! thats right!” kaira is now nearly a year and 5 months (it’s august 31, 2014). she is already using the potty once a day… she know’s several sign motions such as; baby, hat, book, dog, ball, eat, cat, flower, tongue, nose, eyes and blows kisses… there’s more but they seem to escape me at the moment. also right now her favorite words to say are daddy, momma/mommy, doggie, eat, ball, feet, eye and baby. she recently started singing and has figured out how to blow on the sax (her toy version) also has always (since i can remember) loved books. has kekoa and i read to her MANY times a day. her 2 favorite books right now is ‘the eye book’ and 'that yucky love thing.’ i take her to the library every so often so she can get new ones too. she’s not too big on movies yet… they’ll catch her attention for a few moments then she’ll be over it off doing something else. right now her favorite kid to play with would be our next door neighbor’s son, little sua. he’s 11 months i think and he’s pretty darn cute. a few more things to remember and reflect upon… kai stays up SUPER late sometimes… 12-1am even. we absolutely have to get her on a schedule!! she likes to sleep mostly uncovered. she gets quite annoyed and fusses when the blanket is over her feet. getting her to eat food has been an on going battle… she can be SUPER picky… sometimes she’ll love something and the next time we make it, she’s not interested in it at all :P so i tend to mostly stick to snacks and boob. (getting tired of nursing!!! wish she liked other food more… it would be a lot easier to start weaning!!) she loves her baths HOT, just like her grandma and I… might have been all the steaming baths i took while pregnant with her. she’s very spunky and outgoing and can be a rascal/handful at times… but nothing we can’t handle. she’s the cutest. kekoa and i both agree on that always. she also tries to dress herself, always bringing me shoes to put on her and wears my underwear stacked as scarfs. hm… what else…  times have been pretty rough lately… but we’re getting through it. i am so thankful to have birthed such a wise, bright, delicate, beautiful and colorful little being. i couldn’t be more blessed. thank you universe. i cant wait to wake up every morning and see her honest eyes. her soul and presence holds so much love and strength. i can feel her lucky star is bright and will forever shine through her. again, and a thousand times over, thank you universe. <3
