This pictures belong to the late talented Josef Albers. The concepts behind his paintings on top deals with warm and cool colors being combined and how these colors can grasp the attention of the observer

This man is full of creativity! He also displays the use of technology with art in this era such as creating digital art. Love it
Reverse painting on plexiglass
“Lofi beats to draw to during the pandemic”
During this pandemic I’ve spent alot more time at my desk. Between classes and assignments this gave me more chances to draw. now I did little doodles and sketches on paper, but I churned out more digital art as well.
My reverse painting is capturing this, and a homage to the “lofi hip hop radio - beats to relax/study to” stream on YouTube. The sketch was digital (of course it was), which I made on a video call with some artist buddies. I left the window in my room transparent . so I could put something in the background later if I wanted. I tried my hand at cel shading but it did not come out as I expected. I used fewer shades and more sparingly. The acrylic colors didn’t quite come out the way I expected them to.
Overall I’ll probably do more reverse painting in the future, and heck I might just make my own frame.

Never fails to amaze me👌👌👌
Abstract geometric collage tests- my paper choices were limited I chose to use these pastel colors rather than the neon colors I had. I like the ones with symmetry more.

Color wheel exercise & more

Having so many colors calls for having many brushes
End result for the color wheel

School of Beauty, School of Culture by Kerry James Marshall (2012).
This is a very rich and golden painting by Marshall. the medium is Acrylic, yet this brushwork on the painting is still and captures everything that you see in a hair salon. The vibrant colors and the creamy yet detailed like brushwork can give you a good feeling.

Portrait of a young man by Giovanni Bellini (1505). According to some resources, this oil painting is one of the surviving portraits from Bellini. The media is oil on panel, which can explain the dullness (darken hues) on the painting. Yet, since Bellini lived during the renaissance era which he was so detailed on his work.

The Princesse de Broglie by Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres (1853).
This realistic painting has so much detail from the woman’s facial features to her dress to the furniture. The drapery details on her dress and the chair look very complex if one were trying to recreate the portrait. It could be that Ingres had to endure long periods of time, patience and precision to get the details on the woman’s dress right.
